إِنَّهَا سَآءَتۡ مُسۡتَقَرّٗا وَمُقَامٗا
(25:66) Verily it is a wretched abode and restingplace."2
وَٱلَّذِينَ إِذَآ أَنفَقُواْ لَمۡ يُسۡرِفُواْ وَلَمۡ يَقۡتُرُواْ وَكَانَ بَيۡنَ ذَٰلِكَ قَوَامٗا
(25:67) (The true servants of the Merciful One are) those who are neither
extravagant nor niggardly in their spending but keep the golden mean between
the two;3

وَٱلَّذِينَ لَا يَدۡعُونَ مَعَ ٱللَّهِ إِلَٰهًا ءَاخَرَ وَلَا يَقۡتُلُونَ ٱلنَّفۡسَ ٱلَّتِي حَرَّمَ ٱللَّهُ إِلَّا بِٱلۡحَقِّ وَلَا يَزۡنُونَۚ وَمَن يَفۡعَلۡ ذَٰلِكَ يَلۡقَ أَثَامٗا
(25:68) who invoke no other deity along with Allah, nor take any life - which
Allah has forbidden - save justly; who do not commit unlawful sexual intercourse4
- and whoso does that shall meet its penalty;

يُضَٰعَفۡ لَهُ ٱلۡعَذَابُ يَوۡمَ ٱلۡقِيَٰمَةِ وَيَخۡلُدۡ فِيهِۦ مُهَانًا
(25:69) his torment shall be doubled for him on the Day of Resurrection,5
and he will abide in it in ignominy -

إِلَّا مَن تَابَ وَءَامَنَ وَعَمِلَ عَمَلٗا صَٰلِحٗا فَأُوْلَـٰٓئِكَ يُبَدِّلُ ٱللَّهُ سَيِّـَٔاتِهِمۡ حَسَنَٰتٖۗ وَكَانَ ٱللَّهُ غَفُورٗا رَّحِيمٗا
(25:70) unless he repents and believes and does righteous works. For such,
Allah will change their evil deeds into good deeds.6 Allah is Ever
Forgiving, Most Compassionate.
