An-Najm
وَٱلنَّجۡمِ إِذَا هَوَىٰ
(53:1) By the star when it sets:1
مَا ضَلَّ صَاحِبُكُمۡ وَمَا غَوَىٰ
(53:2) your companion2 has neither strayed nor is he deluded;3
وَمَا يَنطِقُ عَنِ ٱلۡهَوَىٰٓ
(53:3) nor does he speak out of his desire.
إِنۡ هُوَ إِلَّا وَحۡيٞ يُوحَىٰ
(53:4) This is nothing but a revelation that is conveyed to him,4
عَلَّمَهُۥ شَدِيدُ ٱلۡقُوَىٰ
(53:5) something that a very powerful one has imparted to him,5
ذُو مِرَّةٖ فَٱسۡتَوَىٰ
(53:6) one endowed with immense wisdom.6 He came forth and stood
poised,
poised,
وَهُوَ بِٱلۡأُفُقِ ٱلۡأَعۡلَىٰ
(53:7) being on the higher horizon.7
ثُمَّ دَنَا فَتَدَلَّىٰ
(53:8) Then he drew near and hung above suspended,
