Why do some of the Qur'an surah names not proper to its content? e.g. the story of Noah with his 'canoe', found in other surah than surah Noh. As well as the story of Ibrahim and his so Isma'il didn'n found in surah Ibrahim. Thank you.

All praise be to Allah. Actually, there is no soorah in the Quran in which a title has no relevance to what is discussed in that soorah. For example, you asked about soorah Ibrahim. Ibrahim is explicitly discussed in surah Ibrahim from verse 35 on. What is true is that Ibrahim or Noah are discussed in many soorahs.
