Reciting the Quran
Peace, Mercy and Blessings of Allah be upon you. I am not good at reciting the Noble Quran according to the rules of recitation; I might read some words incorrectly because I do not grasp the basics of syntax and grammar. Would I gain more rewards from Allah if I listen to the Noble Quran than if I recite it though imperfectly? Worth mentioning Sir is that I might be distracted while listening. I work until 6 pm and after that I care after my children and perform my household duties. Hence, I have no time for learning the fundamentals of reciting. May Allah reward you.

In the Name of Allah, The All-Merciful, The Ever-Merciful.

Praise be to Allah; Prayers and Peace of Allah be upon the Messenger, his household and his companions.

Do your best to learn how to recite correctly. Meanwhile, there is no harm in making minor mistakes in this transitory period until you learn, especially if you benefit, contemplate and concentrate more while reading. Lady Aisha (May Allah be pleased with her) narrated, "One who is proficient in the Qur'an is associated with the noble, upright, recording angels; and he who falters in it, and finds it difficult for him, will have a double reward." [Muslim].

May Allah grant you more keenness and guidance. And Allah The Greatest knows best.
