### الآية 104:1

> وَيْلٌ لِكُلِّ هُمَزَةٍ لُمَزَةٍ [104:1]

Al-Humazah 
-----------

وَيۡلٞ لِّكُلِّ هُمَزَةٖ لُّمَزَةٍ


(104:1) Woe to every fault-finding backbiter;1

---

### الآية 104:2

> الَّذِي جَمَعَ مَالًا وَعَدَّدَهُ [104:2]

ٱلَّذِي جَمَعَ مَالٗا وَعَدَّدَهُۥ


(104:2) who amasses wealth and counts it over and again.2

### الآية 104:3

> يَحْسَبُ أَنَّ مَالَهُ أَخْلَدَهُ [104:3]

يَحۡسَبُ أَنَّ مَالَهُۥٓ أَخۡلَدَهُۥ


(104:3) He thinks that his wealth will immortalise him forever.3

### الآية 104:4

> كَلَّا ۖ لَيُنْبَذَنَّ فِي الْحُطَمَةِ [104:4]

كَلَّاۖ لَيُنۢبَذَنَّ فِي ٱلۡحُطَمَةِ


(104:4) Nay, he shall be thrown4 into the Crusher.5

### الآية 104:5

> وَمَا أَدْرَاكَ مَا الْحُطَمَةُ [104:5]

وَمَآ أَدۡرَىٰكَ مَا ٱلۡحُطَمَةُ


(104:5) And what do you know what the Crusher is?

### الآية 104:6

> نَارُ اللَّهِ الْمُوقَدَةُ [104:6]

نَارُ ٱللَّهِ ٱلۡمُوقَدَةُ


(104:6) It is the Fire6 kindled by Allah,

### الآية 104:7

> الَّتِي تَطَّلِعُ عَلَى الْأَفْئِدَةِ [104:7]

ٱلَّتِي تَطَّلِعُ عَلَى ٱلۡأَفۡـِٔدَةِ


(104:7) the Fire that shall rise to the hearts (of criminals).7

> إِنَّهَا عَلَيْهِمْ مُؤْصَدَةٌ [104:8]

إِنَّهَا عَلَيۡهِم مُّؤۡصَدَةٞ


(104:8) Verily it will close in upon them,8

### الآية 104:9

> فِي عَمَدٍ مُمَدَّدَةٍ [104:9]

فِي عَمَدٖ مُّمَدَّدَةِۭ


(104:9) in outstretched columns.9
