### الآية 111:1

> تَبَّتْ يَدَا أَبِي لَهَبٍ وَتَبَّ [111:1]

Al-Masad

تَبَّتۡ يَدَآ أَبِي لَهَبٖ وَتَبَّ


(111:1) Destroyed were the hands of Abu Lahab, and he lay utterly doomed.1

### الآية 111:2

> مَا أَغْنَىٰ عَنْهُ مَالُهُ وَمَا كَسَبَ [111:2]

مَآ أَغۡنَىٰ عَنۡهُ مَالُهُۥ وَمَا كَسَبَ


(111:2) His wealth did not avail him, nor his acquisitions.2

### الآية 111:3

> سَيَصْلَىٰ نَارًا ذَاتَ لَهَبٍ [111:3]

سَيَصۡلَىٰ نَارٗا ذَاتَ لَهَبٖ


(111:3) Surely, he will be cast into a Flaming Fire

### الآية 111:4

> وَامْرَأَتُهُ حَمَّالَةَ الْحَطَبِ [111:4]

وَٱمۡرَأَتُهُۥ حَمَّالَةَ ٱلۡحَطَبِ


(111:4) along with his wife,3 that carrier of slanderous tales;4

### الآية 111:5

> فِي جِيدِهَا حَبْلٌ مِنْ مَسَدٍ [111:5]

فِي جِيدِهَا حَبۡلٞ مِّن مَّسَدِۭ


(111:5) upon her neck shall be a rope of palm-fibre.5
