> طسم [26:1]

Ash-Shu'ara'

طسٓمٓ


(26:1) Ta'. Sin. Mim. 

---

### الآية 26:2

> تِلْكَ آيَاتُ الْكِتَابِ الْمُبِينِ [26:2]

تِلۡكَ ءَايَٰتُ ٱلۡكِتَٰبِ ٱلۡمُبِينِ


(26:2) These are the verses of the Clear Book.1

### الآية 26:3

> لَعَلَّكَ بَاخِعٌ نَفْسَكَ أَلَّا يَكُونُوا مُؤْمِنِينَ [26:3]

لَعَلَّكَ بَٰخِعٞ نَّفۡسَكَ أَلَّا يَكُونُواْ مُؤۡمِنِينَ


(26:3) (O Muhammad), you will perhaps grieve yourself to death because these 
 people do not believe.2

### الآية 26:4

> إِنْ نَشَأْ نُنَزِّلْ عَلَيْهِمْ مِنَ السَّمَاءِ آيَةً فَظَلَّتْ أَعْنَاقُهُمْ لَهَا خَاضِعِينَ [26:4]

إِن نَّشَأۡ نُنَزِّلۡ عَلَيۡهِم مِّنَ ٱلسَّمَآءِ ءَايَةٗ فَظَلَّتۡ أَعۡنَٰقُهُمۡ لَهَا خَٰضِعِينَ


(26:4) If We will, We can send down a Sign to them from heaven, so their 
 necks will be humbled to it.3

### الآية 26:5

> وَمَا يَأْتِيهِمْ مِنْ ذِكْرٍ مِنَ الرَّحْمَٰنِ مُحْدَثٍ إِلَّا كَانُوا عَنْهُ مُعْرِضِينَ [26:5]

وَمَا يَأۡتِيهِم مِّن ذِكۡرٖ مِّنَ ٱلرَّحۡمَٰنِ مُحۡدَثٍ إِلَّا كَانُواْ عَنۡهُ مُعۡرِضِينَ


(26:5) Never does there come to them an admonition from the Merciful Lord 
 but they turn away from it.

### الآية 26:6

> فَقَدْ كَذَّبُوا فَسَيَأْتِيهِمْ أَنْبَاءُ مَا كَانُوا بِهِ يَسْتَهْزِئُونَ [26:6]

فَقَدۡ كَذَّبُواْ فَسَيَأۡتِيهِمۡ أَنۢبَـٰٓؤُاْ مَا كَانُواْ بِهِۦ يَسۡتَهۡزِءُونَ


(26:6) They will soon come to know the truth of that which they have been 
 scoffing at.4

### الآية 26:7

> أَوَلَمْ يَرَوْا إِلَى الْأَرْضِ كَمْ أَنْبَتْنَا فِيهَا مِنْ كُلِّ زَوْجٍ كَرِيمٍ [26:7]

أَوَلَمۡ يَرَوۡاْ إِلَى ٱلۡأَرۡضِ كَمۡ أَنۢبَتۡنَا فِيهَا مِن كُلِّ زَوۡجٖ كَرِيمٍ


(26:7) Do they not look at the earth, how We caused a variety of fine vegetation 
 to grow from it (in abundance)?

### الآية 26:8

> إِنَّ فِي ذَٰلِكَ لَآيَةً ۖ وَمَا كَانَ أَكْثَرُهُمْ مُؤْمِنِينَ [26:8]

إِنَّ فِي ذَٰلِكَ لَأٓيَةٗۖ وَمَا كَانَ أَكۡثَرُهُم مُّؤۡمِنِينَ


(26:8) Surely there is a Sign in this,5 but most of them would 
 not believe.6

### الآية 26:9

> وَإِنَّ رَبَّكَ لَهُوَ الْعَزِيزُ الرَّحِيمُ [26:9]

وَإِنَّ رَبَّكَ لَهُوَ ٱلۡعَزِيزُ ٱلرَّحِيمُ


(26:9) Verily Your Lord is Infinitely Mighty, Most Compassionate.

### الآية 26:10

> وَإِذْ نَادَىٰ رَبُّكَ مُوسَىٰ أَنِ ائْتِ الْقَوْمَ الظَّالِمِينَ [26:10]

وَإِذۡ نَادَىٰ رَبُّكَ مُوسَىٰٓ أَنِ ٱئۡتِ ٱلۡقَوۡمَ ٱلظَّـٰلِمِينَ


(26:10) (Recount to them about the time) when Your Lord called Moses:7 
 "Go to the wrong-doing people,8

### الآية 26:11

> قَوْمَ فِرْعَوْنَ ۚ أَلَا يَتَّقُونَ [26:11]

قَوۡمَ فِرۡعَوۡنَۚ أَلَا يَتَّقُونَ


(26:11) the people of Pharaoh: do they have no fear?"9

---

### الآية 26:12

> قَالَ رَبِّ إِنِّي أَخَافُ أَنْ يُكَذِّبُونِ [26:12]

قَالَ رَبِّ إِنِّيٓ أَخَافُ أَن يُكَذِّبُونِ


(26:12) He said: "My Lord! I fear that they will brand me a liar.

### الآية 26:13

> وَيَضِيقُ صَدْرِي وَلَا يَنْطَلِقُ لِسَانِي فَأَرْسِلْ إِلَىٰ هَارُونَ [26:13]

وَيَضِيقُ صَدۡرِي وَلَا يَنطَلِقُ لِسَانِي فَأَرۡسِلۡ إِلَىٰ هَٰرُونَ


(26:13) My breast is constricted and my tongue is not fluent, so endow Messengership 
 on Aaron.0

### الآية 26:14

> وَلَهُمْ عَلَيَّ ذَنْبٌ فَأَخَافُ أَنْ يَقْتُلُونِ [26:14]

وَلَهُمۡ عَلَيَّ ذَنۢبٞ فَأَخَافُ أَن يَقۡتُلُونِ


(26:14) As for me, they hold the charge of a crime against me. I fear they 
 will put me to death."1

### الآية 26:15

> قَالَ كَلَّا ۖ فَاذْهَبَا بِآيَاتِنَا ۖ إِنَّا مَعَكُمْ مُسْتَمِعُونَ [26:15]

قَالَ كَلَّاۖ فَٱذۡهَبَا بِـَٔايَٰتِنَآۖ إِنَّا مَعَكُم مُّسۡتَمِعُونَ


(26:15) He said: "Certainly not! So go both of you with Our Signs.2 
 We shall be with you listening to everything.

### الآية 26:16

> فَأْتِيَا فِرْعَوْنَ فَقُولَا إِنَّا رَسُولُ رَبِّ الْعَالَمِينَ [26:16]

فَأۡتِيَا فِرۡعَوۡنَ فَقُولَآ إِنَّا رَسُولُ رَبِّ ٱلۡعَٰلَمِينَ


(26:16) Go, then, to Pharaoh and say to him: 'The Lord of the Universe has 
 sent us

### الآية 26:17

> أَنْ أَرْسِلْ مَعَنَا بَنِي إِسْرَائِيلَ [26:17]

أَنۡ أَرۡسِلۡ مَعَنَا بَنِيٓ إِسۡرَـٰٓءِيلَ


(26:17) that you let the Children of Israel go with us.'"3

### الآية 26:18

> قَالَ أَلَمْ نُرَبِّكَ فِينَا وَلِيدًا وَلَبِثْتَ فِينَا مِنْ عُمُرِكَ سِنِينَ [26:18]

قَالَ أَلَمۡ نُرَبِّكَ فِينَا وَلِيدٗا وَلَبِثۡتَ فِينَا مِنۡ عُمُرِكَ سِنِينَ


(26:18) Pharaoh said: "Did we not bring you up among us when you were a child?4

### الآية 26:19

> وَفَعَلْتَ فَعْلَتَكَ الَّتِي فَعَلْتَ وَأَنْتَ مِنَ الْكَافِرِينَ [26:19]

وَفَعَلۡتَ فَعۡلَتَكَ ٱلَّتِي فَعَلۡتَ وَأَنتَ مِنَ ٱلۡكَٰفِرِينَ


(26:19) You spent many years of your life among us and then you committed 
 that deed of yours.5 You are very ungrateful indeed."

### الآية 26:20

> قَالَ فَعَلْتُهَا إِذًا وَأَنَا مِنَ الضَّالِّينَ [26:20]

قَالَ فَعَلۡتُهَآ إِذٗا وَأَنَا۠ مِنَ ٱلضَّآلِّينَ


(26:20) Moses replied: "I committed that act erringly.6

### الآية 26:21

> فَفَرَرْتُ مِنْكُمْ لَمَّا خِفْتُكُمْ فَوَهَبَ لِي رَبِّي حُكْمًا وَجَعَلَنِي مِنَ الْمُرْسَلِينَ [26:21]

فَفَرَرۡتُ مِنكُمۡ لَمَّا خِفۡتُكُمۡ فَوَهَبَ لِي رَبِّي حُكۡمٗا وَجَعَلَنِي مِنَ ٱلۡمُرۡسَلِينَ


(26:21) Then I fled for fear of you. Then my Lord bestowed wisdom and authority 
 on me7 and made me one of the Messengers.

### الآية 26:22

> وَتِلْكَ نِعْمَةٌ تَمُنُّهَا عَلَيَّ أَنْ عَبَّدْتَ بَنِي إِسْرَائِيلَ [26:22]

وَتِلۡكَ نِعۡمَةٞ تَمُنُّهَا عَلَيَّ أَنۡ عَبَّدتَّ بَنِيٓ إِسۡرَـٰٓءِيلَ


(26:22) Now this is the favour that you tauntingly remind me of: that you 
 enslaved the Children of Israel!"8

### الآية 26:23

> قَالَ فِرْعَوْنُ وَمَا رَبُّ الْعَالَمِينَ [26:23]

قَالَ فِرۡعَوۡنُ وَمَا رَبُّ ٱلۡعَٰلَمِينَ


(26:23) Pharaoh said:9 "And who is this Lord of the Universe?"0

### الآية 26:24

> قَالَ رَبُّ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضِ وَمَا بَيْنَهُمَا ۖ إِنْ كُنْتُمْ مُوقِنِينَ [26:24]

قَالَ رَبُّ ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَٱلۡأَرۡضِ وَمَا بَيۡنَهُمَآۖ إِن كُنتُم مُّوقِنِينَ


(26:24) Moses answered: "The Lord of the heavens and the earth and of all 
 that is between them, if you were only to believe."1

> قَالَ لِمَنْ حَوْلَهُ أَلَا تَسْتَمِعُونَ [26:25]

قَالَ لِمَنۡ حَوۡلَهُۥٓ أَلَا تَسۡتَمِعُونَ


(26:25) Pharaoh said to those around him: "Do you hear (what he says)?"

### الآية 26:26

> قَالَ رَبُّكُمْ وَرَبُّ آبَائِكُمُ الْأَوَّلِينَ [26:26]

قَالَ رَبُّكُمۡ وَرَبُّ ءَابَآئِكُمُ ٱلۡأَوَّلِينَ


(26:26) Moses said: "(He is) Your Lord and the Lord of your forefathers of 
 yore."2

### الآية 26:27

> قَالَ إِنَّ رَسُولَكُمُ الَّذِي أُرْسِلَ إِلَيْكُمْ لَمَجْنُونٌ [26:27]

قَالَ إِنَّ رَسُولَكُمُ ٱلَّذِيٓ أُرۡسِلَ إِلَيۡكُمۡ لَمَجۡنُونٞ


(26:27) Pharaoh said to the audience: "This Messenger of yours who has been 
 sent to you is simply mad."

### الآية 26:28

> قَالَ رَبُّ الْمَشْرِقِ وَالْمَغْرِبِ وَمَا بَيْنَهُمَا ۖ إِنْ كُنْتُمْ تَعْقِلُونَ [26:28]

قَالَ رَبُّ ٱلۡمَشۡرِقِ وَٱلۡمَغۡرِبِ وَمَا بَيۡنَهُمَآۖ إِن كُنتُمۡ تَعۡقِلُونَ


(26:28) Moses continued: "(He is) the Lord of the east and the west, and 
 all between them. If you only had any understanding!"3

### الآية 26:29

> قَالَ لَئِنِ اتَّخَذْتَ إِلَٰهًا غَيْرِي لَأَجْعَلَنَّكَ مِنَ الْمَسْجُونِينَ [26:29]

قَالَ لَئِنِ ٱتَّخَذۡتَ إِلَٰهًا غَيۡرِي لَأَجۡعَلَنَّكَ مِنَ ٱلۡمَسۡجُونِينَ


(26:29) Pharaoh said: "If you take any god other than me, I will certainly 
 make you one of those (who are rotting) in prison."4

### الآية 26:30

> قَالَ أَوَلَوْ جِئْتُكَ بِشَيْءٍ مُبِينٍ [26:30]

قَالَ أَوَلَوۡ جِئۡتُكَ بِشَيۡءٖ مُّبِينٖ


(26:30) Moses said: "Even if I were to bring a Clear Sign to you?"5

### الآية 26:31

> قَالَ فَأْتِ بِهِ إِنْ كُنْتَ مِنَ الصَّادِقِينَ [26:31]

قَالَ فَأۡتِ بِهِۦٓ إِن كُنتَ مِنَ ٱلصَّـٰدِقِينَ


(26:31) Pharaoh said: "Then bring it if you are truthful at all."6

### الآية 26:32

> فَأَلْقَىٰ عَصَاهُ فَإِذَا هِيَ ثُعْبَانٌ مُبِينٌ [26:32]

فَأَلۡقَىٰ عَصَاهُ فَإِذَا هِيَ ثُعۡبَانٞ مُّبِينٞ


(26:32) (No sooner had he said this than) Moses threw down his rod and behold, 
 it was a veritable serpent,7

### الآية 26:33

> وَنَزَعَ يَدَهُ فَإِذَا هِيَ بَيْضَاءُ لِلنَّاظِرِينَ [26:33]

وَنَزَعَ يَدَهُۥ فَإِذَا هِيَ بَيۡضَآءُ لِلنَّـٰظِرِينَ


(26:33) and he drew his hand (out of his armpit) and lo! it had become a 
 shining object to the beholders.8

### الآية 26:34

> قَالَ لِلْمَلَإِ حَوْلَهُ إِنَّ هَٰذَا لَسَاحِرٌ عَلِيمٌ [26:34]

قَالَ لِلۡمَلَإِ حَوۡلَهُۥٓ إِنَّ هَٰذَا لَسَٰحِرٌ عَلِيمٞ


(26:34) Pharaoh said to the nobles around him: "Surely this man is a skilled 
 magician

### الآية 26:35

> يُرِيدُ أَنْ يُخْرِجَكُمْ مِنْ أَرْضِكُمْ بِسِحْرِهِ فَمَاذَا تَأْمُرُونَ [26:35]

يُرِيدُ أَن يُخۡرِجَكُم مِّنۡ أَرۡضِكُم بِسِحۡرِهِۦ فَمَاذَا تَأۡمُرُونَ


(26:35) who wants to drive you out of your land by his magic.9 
 Tell us, what do you advise us?"0

### الآية 26:36

> قَالُوا أَرْجِهْ وَأَخَاهُ وَابْعَثْ فِي الْمَدَائِنِ حَاشِرِينَ [26:36]

قَالُوٓاْ أَرۡجِهۡ وَأَخَاهُ وَٱبۡعَثۡ فِي ٱلۡمَدَآئِنِ حَٰشِرِينَ


(26:36) They said: "Detain him and his brother for a while and send forth 
 heralds to the cities 

---

### الآية 26:37

> يَأْتُوكَ بِكُلِّ سَحَّارٍ عَلِيمٍ [26:37]

يَأۡتُوكَ بِكُلِّ سَحَّارٍ عَلِيمٖ


(26:37) to mobilise all skilled magicians."

### الآية 26:38

> فَجُمِعَ السَّحَرَةُ لِمِيقَاتِ يَوْمٍ مَعْلُومٍ [26:38]

فَجُمِعَ ٱلسَّحَرَةُ لِمِيقَٰتِ يَوۡمٖ مَّعۡلُومٖ


(26:38) So the magicians were brought together on a particular day at a set 
 time1

### الآية 26:39

> وَقِيلَ لِلنَّاسِ هَلْ أَنْتُمْ مُجْتَمِعُونَ [26:39]

وَقِيلَ لِلنَّاسِ هَلۡ أَنتُم مُّجۡتَمِعُونَ


(26:39) and the people were told: "Will you join the assembly?2

### الآية 26:40

> لَعَلَّنَا نَتَّبِعُ السَّحَرَةَ إِنْ كَانُوا هُمُ الْغَالِبِينَ [26:40]

لَعَلَّنَا نَتَّبِعُ ٱلسَّحَرَةَ إِن كَانُواْ هُمُ ٱلۡغَٰلِبِينَ


(26:40) We may perhaps follow the religion of the magicians if they triumph."3

### الآية 26:41

> فَلَمَّا جَاءَ السَّحَرَةُ قَالُوا لِفِرْعَوْنَ أَئِنَّ لَنَا لَأَجْرًا إِنْ كُنَّا نَحْنُ الْغَالِبِينَ [26:41]

فَلَمَّا جَآءَ ٱلسَّحَرَةُ قَالُواْ لِفِرۡعَوۡنَ أَئِنَّ لَنَا لَأَجۡرًا إِن كُنَّا نَحۡنُ ٱلۡغَٰلِبِينَ


(26:41) When the magicians came forth (for the encounter) they said to Pharaoh: 
 "Is there a reward for us if we triumph?"4

### الآية 26:42

> قَالَ نَعَمْ وَإِنَّكُمْ إِذًا لَمِنَ الْمُقَرَّبِينَ [26:42]

قَالَ نَعَمۡ وَإِنَّكُمۡ إِذٗا لَّمِنَ ٱلۡمُقَرَّبِينَ


(26:42) He said: "Yes, you will then become those near-stationed to me."5

### الآية 26:43

> قَالَ لَهُمْ مُوسَىٰ أَلْقُوا مَا أَنْتُمْ مُلْقُونَ [26:43]

قَالَ لَهُم مُّوسَىٰٓ أَلۡقُواْ مَآ أَنتُم مُّلۡقُونَ


(26:43) Moses said to them: "Throw down whatever you wish to throw."

### الآية 26:44

> فَأَلْقَوْا حِبَالَهُمْ وَعِصِيَّهُمْ وَقَالُوا بِعِزَّةِ فِرْعَوْنَ إِنَّا لَنَحْنُ الْغَالِبُونَ [26:44]

فَأَلۡقَوۡاْ حِبَالَهُمۡ وَعِصِيَّهُمۡ وَقَالُواْ بِعِزَّةِ فِرۡعَوۡنَ إِنَّا لَنَحۡنُ ٱلۡغَٰلِبُونَ


(26:44) Thereupon they threw down their ropes and their rods, and said: "By 
 the glory of Pharaoh, we shall prevail."6

### الآية 26:45

> فَأَلْقَىٰ مُوسَىٰ عَصَاهُ فَإِذَا هِيَ تَلْقَفُ مَا يَأْفِكُونَ [26:45]

فَأَلۡقَىٰ مُوسَىٰ عَصَاهُ فَإِذَا هِيَ تَلۡقَفُ مَا يَأۡفِكُونَ


(26:45) Thereafter, Moses threw down his rod and behold, it went about swallowing 
 up all the false devices they had contrived.

### الآية 26:46

> فَأُلْقِيَ السَّحَرَةُ سَاجِدِينَ [26:46]

فَأُلۡقِيَ ٱلسَّحَرَةُ سَٰجِدِينَ


(26:46) Thereupon the magicians fell down in prostration, 

---

### الآية 26:47

> قَالُوا آمَنَّا بِرَبِّ الْعَالَمِينَ [26:47]

قَالُوٓاْ ءَامَنَّا بِرَبِّ ٱلۡعَٰلَمِينَ


(26:47) saying: "We (now) believe in the Lord of the Universe,

### الآية 26:48

> رَبِّ مُوسَىٰ وَهَارُونَ [26:48]

رَبِّ مُوسَىٰ وَهَٰرُونَ


(26:48) the Lord of Moses and Aaron."7

### الآية 26:49

> قَالَ آمَنْتُمْ لَهُ قَبْلَ أَنْ آذَنَ لَكُمْ ۖ إِنَّهُ لَكَبِيرُكُمُ الَّذِي عَلَّمَكُمُ السِّحْرَ فَلَسَوْفَ تَعْلَمُونَ ۚ لَأُقَطِّعَنَّ أَيْدِيَكُمْ وَأَرْجُلَكُمْ مِنْ خِلَافٍ وَلَأُصَلِّبَنَّكُمْ أَجْمَعِينَ [26:49]

قَالَ ءَامَنتُمۡ لَهُۥ قَبۡلَ أَنۡ ءَاذَنَ لَكُمۡۖ إِنَّهُۥ لَكَبِيرُكُمُ ٱلَّذِي عَلَّمَكُمُ ٱلسِّحۡرَ فَلَسَوۡفَ تَعۡلَمُونَۚ لَأُقَطِّعَنَّ أَيۡدِيَكُمۡ وَأَرۡجُلَكُم مِّنۡ خِلَٰفٖ وَلَأُصَلِّبَنَّكُمۡ أَجۡمَعِينَ


(26:49) Pharaoh said: "You accepted the word of Moses even before I granted 
 you the leave to do so. Surely he is your chief who has taught you magic.8 
 Soon shall you come to know. I shall cut off your hands and feet on opposite 
 sides and shall crucify all of you."9

### الآية 26:50

> قَالُوا لَا ضَيْرَ ۖ إِنَّا إِلَىٰ رَبِّنَا مُنْقَلِبُونَ [26:50]

قَالُواْ لَا ضَيۡرَۖ إِنَّآ إِلَىٰ رَبِّنَا مُنقَلِبُونَ


(26:50) They said: "We do not care, for we are bound to return to our Lord,

### الآية 26:51

> إِنَّا نَطْمَعُ أَنْ يَغْفِرَ لَنَا رَبُّنَا خَطَايَانَا أَنْ كُنَّا أَوَّلَ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ [26:51]

إِنَّا نَطۡمَعُ أَن يَغۡفِرَ لَنَا رَبُّنَا خَطَٰيَٰنَآ أَن كُنَّآ أَوَّلَ ٱلۡمُؤۡمِنِينَ


(26:51) and we surely expect that Our Lord will forgive us our sins for we 
 are the first ones to believe."0

### الآية 26:52

> ۞ وَأَوْحَيْنَا إِلَىٰ مُوسَىٰ أَنْ أَسْرِ بِعِبَادِي إِنَّكُمْ مُتَّبَعُونَ [26:52]

۞وَأَوۡحَيۡنَآ إِلَىٰ مُوسَىٰٓ أَنۡ أَسۡرِ بِعِبَادِيٓ إِنَّكُم مُّتَّبَعُونَ


(26:52) We revealed to Moses:1 "Set forth with My servants by 
 night for you will be pursued."2

### الآية 26:53

> فَأَرْسَلَ فِرْعَوْنُ فِي الْمَدَائِنِ حَاشِرِينَ [26:53]

فَأَرۡسَلَ فِرۡعَوۡنُ فِي ٱلۡمَدَآئِنِ حَٰشِرِينَ


(26:53) Then Pharaoh sent heralds to the cities (to mobilise troops)

### الآية 26:54

> إِنَّ هَٰؤُلَاءِ لَشِرْذِمَةٌ قَلِيلُونَ [26:54]

إِنَّ هَـٰٓؤُلَآءِ لَشِرۡذِمَةٞ قَلِيلُونَ


(26:54) saying: "These (Israelites) are only a small band of people 

---

### الآية 26:55

> وَإِنَّهُمْ لَنَا لَغَائِظُونَ [26:55]

وَإِنَّهُمۡ لَنَا لَغَآئِظُونَ


(26:55) who have certainly provoked our wrath. 

---

### الآية 26:56

> وَإِنَّا لَجَمِيعٌ حَاذِرُونَ [26:56]

وَإِنَّا لَجَمِيعٌ حَٰذِرُونَ


(26:56) But we are a numerous host, ever on guard."3

---

### الآية 26:57

> فَأَخْرَجْنَاهُمْ مِنْ جَنَّاتٍ وَعُيُونٍ [26:57]

فَأَخۡرَجۡنَٰهُم مِّن جَنَّـٰتٖ وَعُيُونٖ


(26:57) Thus did We drive them out of their gardens and springs 

---

### الآية 26:58

> وَكُنُوزٍ وَمَقَامٍ كَرِيمٍ [26:58]

وَكُنُوزٖ وَمَقَامٖ كَرِيمٖ


(26:58) and their treasures and excellent dwellings.4

---

### الآية 26:59

> كَذَٰلِكَ وَأَوْرَثْنَاهَا بَنِي إِسْرَائِيلَ [26:59]

كَذَٰلِكَۖ وَأَوۡرَثۡنَٰهَا بَنِيٓ إِسۡرَـٰٓءِيلَ


(26:59) This happened with them; (but on the other hand), We enabled the 
 Children of Israel to inherit those bounties.5

---

### الآية 26:60

> فَأَتْبَعُوهُمْ مُشْرِقِينَ [26:60]

فَأَتۡبَعُوهُم مُّشۡرِقِينَ


(26:60) At sunrise they set off in pursuit of them 

---

### الآية 26:61

> فَلَمَّا تَرَاءَى الْجَمْعَانِ قَالَ أَصْحَابُ مُوسَىٰ إِنَّا لَمُدْرَكُونَ [26:61]

فَلَمَّا تَرَـٰٓءَا ٱلۡجَمۡعَانِ قَالَ أَصۡحَٰبُ مُوسَىٰٓ إِنَّا لَمُدۡرَكُونَ


(26:61) and when the groups came face to face, the companions of Moses cried 
 out: "We are overtaken!"

### الآية 26:62

> قَالَ كَلَّا ۖ إِنَّ مَعِيَ رَبِّي سَيَهْدِينِ [26:62]

قَالَ كَلَّآۖ إِنَّ مَعِيَ رَبِّي سَيَهۡدِينِ


(26:62) Moses said: "Certainly not. My Lord is with me; He will direct me."6

### الآية 26:63

> فَأَوْحَيْنَا إِلَىٰ مُوسَىٰ أَنِ اضْرِبْ بِعَصَاكَ الْبَحْرَ ۖ فَانْفَلَقَ فَكَانَ كُلُّ فِرْقٍ كَالطَّوْدِ الْعَظِيمِ [26:63]

فَأَوۡحَيۡنَآ إِلَىٰ مُوسَىٰٓ أَنِ ٱضۡرِب بِّعَصَاكَ ٱلۡبَحۡرَۖ فَٱنفَلَقَ فَكَانَ كُلُّ فِرۡقٖ كَٱلطَّوۡدِ ٱلۡعَظِيمِ


(26:63) Then We revealed to Moses, (commanding him): "Strike the sea with 
 your rod." Thereupon the sea split up, and then each became like the mass of 
 a huge mount.7

---

### الآية 26:64

> وَأَزْلَفْنَا ثَمَّ الْآخَرِينَ [26:64]

وَأَزۡلَفۡنَا ثَمَّ ٱلۡأٓخَرِينَ


(26:64) We also brought the other party close to the same spot, 

---

### الآية 26:65

> وَأَنْجَيْنَا مُوسَىٰ وَمَنْ مَعَهُ أَجْمَعِينَ [26:65]

وَأَنجَيۡنَا مُوسَىٰ وَمَن مَّعَهُۥٓ أَجۡمَعِينَ


(26:65) and We delivered Moses and his companions, all of them, 

---

### الآية 26:66

> ثُمَّ أَغْرَقْنَا الْآخَرِينَ [26:66]

ثُمَّ أَغۡرَقۡنَا ٱلۡأٓخَرِينَ


(26:66) then We drowned the others.8

---

### الآية 26:67

> إِنَّ فِي ذَٰلِكَ لَآيَةً ۖ وَمَا كَانَ أَكْثَرُهُمْ مُؤْمِنِينَ [26:67]

إِنَّ فِي ذَٰلِكَ لَأٓيَةٗۖ وَمَا كَانَ أَكۡثَرُهُم مُّؤۡمِنِينَ


(26:67) Surely there is a Sign in this,9 but most of them would 
 not believe. 

---

### الآية 26:68

> وَإِنَّ رَبَّكَ لَهُوَ الْعَزِيزُ الرَّحِيمُ [26:68]

وَإِنَّ رَبَّكَ لَهُوَ ٱلۡعَزِيزُ ٱلرَّحِيمُ


(26:68) Verily your Lord is Immensely Mighty, Ever Compassionate.

### الآية 26:69

> وَاتْلُ عَلَيْهِمْ نَبَأَ إِبْرَاهِيمَ [26:69]

وَٱتۡلُ عَلَيۡهِمۡ نَبَأَ إِبۡرَٰهِيمَ


(26:69) And recount to them the story of Abraham:0

---

### الآية 26:70

> إِذْ قَالَ لِأَبِيهِ وَقَوْمِهِ مَا تَعْبُدُونَ [26:70]

إِذۡ قَالَ لِأَبِيهِ وَقَوۡمِهِۦ مَا تَعۡبُدُونَ


(26:70) when he asked his father and his people: "What do you worship?"1

---

### الآية 26:71

> قَالُوا نَعْبُدُ أَصْنَامًا فَنَظَلُّ لَهَا عَاكِفِينَ [26:71]

قَالُواْ نَعۡبُدُ أَصۡنَامٗا فَنَظَلُّ لَهَا عَٰكِفِينَ


(26:71) They answered: "There are some idols that we worship and are devoted 
 to them with constancy."2

### الآية 26:72

> قَالَ هَلْ يَسْمَعُونَكُمْ إِذْ تَدْعُونَ [26:72]

قَالَ هَلۡ يَسۡمَعُونَكُمۡ إِذۡ تَدۡعُونَ


(26:72) He asked: "Do they hear you when you call them 

---

### الآية 26:73

> أَوْ يَنْفَعُونَكُمْ أَوْ يَضُرُّونَ [26:73]

أَوۡ يَنفَعُونَكُمۡ أَوۡ يَضُرُّونَ


(26:73) or do they cause you any benefit or harm?" 

---

### الآية 26:74

> قَالُوا بَلْ وَجَدْنَا آبَاءَنَا كَذَٰلِكَ يَفْعَلُونَ [26:74]

قَالُواْ بَلۡ وَجَدۡنَآ ءَابَآءَنَا كَذَٰلِكَ يَفۡعَلُونَ


(26:74) They answered: "No; but we found our forefathers doing so."3

---

### الآية 26:75

> قَالَ أَفَرَأَيْتُمْ مَا كُنْتُمْ تَعْبُدُونَ [26:75]

قَالَ أَفَرَءَيۡتُم مَّا كُنتُمۡ تَعۡبُدُونَ


(26:75) Thereupon, Abraham said: "Have you seen (with your eyes) those whom 
 you have been worshipping, 

---

### الآية 26:76

> أَنْتُمْ وَآبَاؤُكُمُ الْأَقْدَمُونَ [26:76]

أَنتُمۡ وَءَابَآؤُكُمُ ٱلۡأَقۡدَمُونَ


(26:76) you and your forefathers of yore?4

---

### الآية 26:77

> فَإِنَّهُمْ عَدُوٌّ لِي إِلَّا رَبَّ الْعَالَمِينَ [26:77]

فَإِنَّهُمۡ عَدُوّٞ لِّيٓ إِلَّا رَبَّ ٱلۡعَٰلَمِينَ


(26:77) They are all enemies to me;5 all, except the Lord of 
 the Universe6

---

### الآية 26:78

> الَّذِي خَلَقَنِي فَهُوَ يَهْدِينِ [26:78]

ٱلَّذِي خَلَقَنِي فَهُوَ يَهۡدِينِ


(26:78) Who created me7 and Who guides me; 

---

### الآية 26:79

> وَالَّذِي هُوَ يُطْعِمُنِي وَيَسْقِينِ [26:79]

وَٱلَّذِي هُوَ يُطۡعِمُنِي وَيَسۡقِينِ


(26:79) Who gives me food and drink, 

---

### الآية 26:80

> وَإِذَا مَرِضْتُ فَهُوَ يَشْفِينِ [26:80]

وَإِذَا مَرِضۡتُ فَهُوَ يَشۡفِينِ


(26:80) and Who, when I am ill, heals me;8

---

### الآية 26:81

> وَالَّذِي يُمِيتُنِي ثُمَّ يُحْيِينِ [26:81]

وَٱلَّذِي يُمِيتُنِي ثُمَّ يُحۡيِينِ


(26:81) Who will cause me to die and then will again restore me to life;


---

### الآية 26:82

> وَالَّذِي أَطْمَعُ أَنْ يَغْفِرَ لِي خَطِيئَتِي يَوْمَ الدِّينِ [26:82]

وَٱلَّذِيٓ أَطۡمَعُ أَن يَغۡفِرَ لِي خَطِيٓـَٔتِي يَوۡمَ ٱلدِّينِ


(26:82) Who, I hope, will forgive me my sins on the Day of Judgement."9

### الآية 26:83

> رَبِّ هَبْ لِي حُكْمًا وَأَلْحِقْنِي بِالصَّالِحِينَ [26:83]

رَبِّ هَبۡ لِي حُكۡمٗا وَأَلۡحِقۡنِي بِٱلصَّـٰلِحِينَ


(26:83) (And then Abraham prayed): "My Lord, endow me with knowledge and 
 wisdom0 and join me with the righteous,1

---

### الآية 26:84

> وَاجْعَلْ لِي لِسَانَ صِدْقٍ فِي الْآخِرِينَ [26:84]

وَٱجۡعَل لِّي لِسَانَ صِدۡقٖ فِي ٱلۡأٓخِرِينَ


(26:84) and grant me an honourable reputation among posterity,2

---

### الآية 26:85

> وَاجْعَلْنِي مِنْ وَرَثَةِ جَنَّةِ النَّعِيمِ [26:85]

وَٱجۡعَلۡنِي مِن وَرَثَةِ جَنَّةِ ٱلنَّعِيمِ


(26:85) and make me of those who will inherit the Garden of Bliss, 

---

### الآية 26:86

> وَاغْفِرْ لِأَبِي إِنَّهُ كَانَ مِنَ الضَّالِّينَ [26:86]

وَٱغۡفِرۡ لِأَبِيٓ إِنَّهُۥ كَانَ مِنَ ٱلضَّآلِّينَ


(26:86) and forgive my father for he is among those who strayed,3

### الآية 26:87

> وَلَا تُخْزِنِي يَوْمَ يُبْعَثُونَ [26:87]

وَلَا تُخۡزِنِي يَوۡمَ يُبۡعَثُونَ


(26:87) and disgrace me not on the Day when people will be raised to life,4

---

### الآية 26:88

> يَوْمَ لَا يَنْفَعُ مَالٌ وَلَا بَنُونَ [26:88]

يَوۡمَ لَا يَنفَعُ مَالٞ وَلَا بَنُونَ


(26:88) the Day when nothing will avail, neither wealth nor offspring,

### الآية 26:89

> إِلَّا مَنْ أَتَى اللَّهَ بِقَلْبٍ سَلِيمٍ [26:89]

إِلَّا مَنۡ أَتَى ٱللَّهَ بِقَلۡبٖ سَلِيمٖ


(26:89) but only he that brings to Allah a sound heart will (attain to success)."5

---

### الآية 26:90

> وَأُزْلِفَتِ الْجَنَّةُ لِلْمُتَّقِينَ [26:90]

وَأُزۡلِفَتِ ٱلۡجَنَّةُ لِلۡمُتَّقِينَ


(26:90) (On that Day)6the Garden will be brought near to the 
 God-fearing, 

---

### الآية 26:91

> وَبُرِّزَتِ الْجَحِيمُ لِلْغَاوِينَ [26:91]

وَبُرِّزَتِ ٱلۡجَحِيمُ لِلۡغَاوِينَ


(26:91) and the Fire will be uncovered for those who strayed,7

---

### الآية 26:92

> وَقِيلَ لَهُمْ أَيْنَ مَا كُنْتُمْ تَعْبُدُونَ [26:92]

وَقِيلَ لَهُمۡ أَيۡنَ مَا كُنتُمۡ تَعۡبُدُونَ


(26:92) and they will be asked: "Where are the gods that you worshipped


---

### الآية 26:93

> مِنْ دُونِ اللَّهِ هَلْ يَنْصُرُونَكُمْ أَوْ يَنْتَصِرُونَ [26:93]

مِن دُونِ ٱللَّهِ هَلۡ يَنصُرُونَكُمۡ أَوۡ يَنتَصِرُونَ


(26:93) beside Allah? Can they be of any help to you, or even be of any help 
 to themselves?" 

---

### الآية 26:94

> فَكُبْكِبُوا فِيهَا هُمْ وَالْغَاوُونَ [26:94]

فَكُبۡكِبُواْ فِيهَا هُمۡ وَٱلۡغَاوُۥنَ


(26:94) Then the idols and those who strayed will be hurled into the Fire 
 headlong, one upon another,8

---

### الآية 26:95

> وَجُنُودُ إِبْلِيسَ أَجْمَعُونَ [26:95]

وَجُنُودُ إِبۡلِيسَ أَجۡمَعُونَ


(26:95) and so too the hosts of Iblis, all of them. 

---

### الآية 26:96

> قَالُوا وَهُمْ فِيهَا يَخْتَصِمُونَ [26:96]

قَالُواْ وَهُمۡ فِيهَا يَخۡتَصِمُونَ


(26:96) There they will quarrel with one another and the erring ones will 
 say (to their deities): 

---

### الآية 26:97

> تَاللَّهِ إِنْ كُنَّا لَفِي ضَلَالٍ مُبِينٍ [26:97]

تَٱللَّهِ إِن كُنَّا لَفِي ضَلَٰلٖ مُّبِينٍ


(26:97) "By Allah, we were surely in clear error 

---

### الآية 26:98

> إِذْ نُسَوِّيكُمْ بِرَبِّ الْعَالَمِينَ [26:98]

إِذۡ نُسَوِّيكُم بِرَبِّ ٱلۡعَٰلَمِينَ


(26:98) when we assigned to you a position equal to that of the Lord of the 
 Universe. 

---

### الآية 26:99

> وَمَا أَضَلَّنَا إِلَّا الْمُجْرِمُونَ [26:99]

وَمَآ أَضَلَّنَآ إِلَّا ٱلۡمُجۡرِمُونَ


(26:99) It is none but those steeped in guilt who led us into this error,9

---

### الآية 26:100

> فَمَا لَنَا مِنْ شَافِعِينَ [26:100]

فَمَا لَنَا مِن شَٰفِعِينَ


(26:100) and now we have none to intercede on our behalf,0

---

### الآية 26:101

> وَلَا صَدِيقٍ حَمِيمٍ [26:101]

وَلَا صَدِيقٍ حَمِيمٖ


(26:101) nor do we have a truly sincere friend.1

---

### الآية 26:102

> فَلَوْ أَنَّ لَنَا كَرَّةً فَنَكُونَ مِنَ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ [26:102]

فَلَوۡ أَنَّ لَنَا كَرَّةٗ فَنَكُونَ مِنَ ٱلۡمُؤۡمِنِينَ


(26:102) If only we could return we would be among the believers."2

---

### الآية 26:103

> إِنَّ فِي ذَٰلِكَ لَآيَةً ۖ وَمَا كَانَ أَكْثَرُهُمْ مُؤْمِنِينَ [26:103]

إِنَّ فِي ذَٰلِكَ لَأٓيَةٗۖ وَمَا كَانَ أَكۡثَرُهُم مُّؤۡمِنِينَ


(26:103) Surely there is a Sign in this,3 but most of them would 
 not believe.

### الآية 26:104

> وَإِنَّ رَبَّكَ لَهُوَ الْعَزِيزُ الرَّحِيمُ [26:104]

وَإِنَّ رَبَّكَ لَهُوَ ٱلۡعَزِيزُ ٱلرَّحِيمُ


(26:104) Verily Your Lord is Immensely Mighty, Ever Compassionate. 

---

### الآية 26:105

> كَذَّبَتْ قَوْمُ نُوحٍ الْمُرْسَلِينَ [26:105]

كَذَّبَتۡ قَوۡمُ نُوحٍ ٱلۡمُرۡسَلِينَ


(26:105) The people of Noah4 gave the lie to the Messengers.5

---

### الآية 26:106

> إِذْ قَالَ لَهُمْ أَخُوهُمْ نُوحٌ أَلَا تَتَّقُونَ [26:106]

إِذۡ قَالَ لَهُمۡ أَخُوهُمۡ نُوحٌ أَلَا تَتَّقُونَ


(26:106) Recall when their brother Noah said to them: "Do you have no fear?6

---

### الآية 26:107

> إِنِّي لَكُمْ رَسُولٌ أَمِينٌ [26:107]

إِنِّي لَكُمۡ رَسُولٌ أَمِينٞ


(26:107) I am a trustworthy Messenger to you;7

---

### الآية 26:108

> فَاتَّقُوا اللَّهَ وَأَطِيعُونِ [26:108]

فَٱتَّقُواْ ٱللَّهَ وَأَطِيعُونِ


(26:108) so fear Allah and obey me.8

---

### الآية 26:109

> وَمَا أَسْأَلُكُمْ عَلَيْهِ مِنْ أَجْرٍ ۖ إِنْ أَجْرِيَ إِلَّا عَلَىٰ رَبِّ الْعَالَمِينَ [26:109]

وَمَآ أَسۡـَٔلُكُمۡ عَلَيۡهِ مِنۡ أَجۡرٍۖ إِنۡ أَجۡرِيَ إِلَّا عَلَىٰ رَبِّ ٱلۡعَٰلَمِينَ


(26:109) I seek of you no reward for this: my reward is with none except 
 the Lord of the Universe.9

---

### الآية 26:110

> فَاتَّقُوا اللَّهَ وَأَطِيعُونِ [26:110]

فَٱتَّقُواْ ٱللَّهَ وَأَطِيعُونِ


(26:110) So fear Allah and obey me."0

---

### الآية 26:111

> ۞ قَالُوا أَنُؤْمِنُ لَكَ وَاتَّبَعَكَ الْأَرْذَلُونَ [26:111]

۞قَالُوٓاْ أَنُؤۡمِنُ لَكَ وَٱتَّبَعَكَ ٱلۡأَرۡذَلُونَ


(26:111) They answered: "Shall we accept you even though it is the meanest 
 of people who follow you?"1

---

### الآية 26:112

> قَالَ وَمَا عِلْمِي بِمَا كَانُوا يَعْمَلُونَ [26:112]

قَالَ وَمَا عِلۡمِي بِمَا كَانُواْ يَعۡمَلُونَ


(26:112) Noah said: "What knowledge do I have about their deeds? 

---

### الآية 26:113

> إِنْ حِسَابُهُمْ إِلَّا عَلَىٰ رَبِّي ۖ لَوْ تَشْعُرُونَ [26:113]

إِنۡ حِسَابُهُمۡ إِلَّا عَلَىٰ رَبِّيۖ لَوۡ تَشۡعُرُونَ


(26:113) It is only for my Lord to take account of them. Would that you made 
 use of your understanding!2

---

### الآية 26:114

> وَمَا أَنَا بِطَارِدِ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ [26:114]

وَمَآ أَنَا۠ بِطَارِدِ ٱلۡمُؤۡمِنِينَ


(26:114) It is not for me to repel those who choose to believe. 

---

### الآية 26:115

> إِنْ أَنَا إِلَّا نَذِيرٌ مُبِينٌ [26:115]

إِنۡ أَنَا۠ إِلَّا نَذِيرٞ مُّبِينٞ


(26:115) I am none but a plain warner."3

---

### الآية 26:116

> قَالُوا لَئِنْ لَمْ تَنْتَهِ يَا نُوحُ لَتَكُونَنَّ مِنَ الْمَرْجُومِينَ [26:116]

قَالُواْ لَئِن لَّمۡ تَنتَهِ يَٰنُوحُ لَتَكُونَنَّ مِنَ ٱلۡمَرۡجُومِينَ


(26:116) They said: "O Noah! If you do not desist, you will certainly become 
 one of the accursed."4

---

### الآية 26:117

> قَالَ رَبِّ إِنَّ قَوْمِي كَذَّبُونِ [26:117]

قَالَ رَبِّ إِنَّ قَوۡمِي كَذَّبُونِ


(26:117) He said: "My Lord! My people have branded me a liar.5

---

### الآية 26:118

> فَافْتَحْ بَيْنِي وَبَيْنَهُمْ فَتْحًا وَنَجِّنِي وَمَنْ مَعِيَ مِنَ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ [26:118]

فَٱفۡتَحۡ بَيۡنِي وَبَيۡنَهُمۡ فَتۡحٗا وَنَجِّنِي وَمَن مَّعِيَ مِنَ ٱلۡمُؤۡمِنِينَ


(26:118) So pass a clear judgement between me and them and rescue me and 
 the believers with me."6

### الآية 26:119

> فَأَنْجَيْنَاهُ وَمَنْ مَعَهُ فِي الْفُلْكِ الْمَشْحُونِ [26:119]

فَأَنجَيۡنَٰهُ وَمَن مَّعَهُۥ فِي ٱلۡفُلۡكِ ٱلۡمَشۡحُونِ


(26:119) Thereafter We rescued him and those who were with him in the laden 
 Ark7

---

### الآية 26:120

> ثُمَّ أَغْرَقْنَا بَعْدُ الْبَاقِينَ [26:120]

ثُمَّ أَغۡرَقۡنَا بَعۡدُ ٱلۡبَاقِينَ


(26:120) and drowned the rest. 

---

### الآية 26:121

> إِنَّ فِي ذَٰلِكَ لَآيَةً ۖ وَمَا كَانَ أَكْثَرُهُمْ مُؤْمِنِينَ [26:121]

إِنَّ فِي ذَٰلِكَ لَأٓيَةٗۖ وَمَا كَانَ أَكۡثَرُهُم مُّؤۡمِنِينَ


(26:121) Surely there is a Sign in this, but most of them would not believe.


---

### الآية 26:122

> وَإِنَّ رَبَّكَ لَهُوَ الْعَزِيزُ الرَّحِيمُ [26:122]

وَإِنَّ رَبَّكَ لَهُوَ ٱلۡعَزِيزُ ٱلرَّحِيمُ


(26:122) Verily Your Lord is Immensely Mighty, Ever Compassionate. 

---

### الآية 26:123

> كَذَّبَتْ عَادٌ الْمُرْسَلِينَ [26:123]

كَذَّبَتۡ عَادٌ ٱلۡمُرۡسَلِينَ


(26:123) The Ad gave the lie to the Messengers.8

---

### الآية 26:124

> إِذْ قَالَ لَهُمْ أَخُوهُمْ هُودٌ أَلَا تَتَّقُونَ [26:124]

إِذۡ قَالَ لَهُمۡ أَخُوهُمۡ هُودٌ أَلَا تَتَّقُونَ


(26:124) Recall, when their brother Hud said to them:9 "Have 
 you no fear? 

---

### الآية 26:125

> إِنِّي لَكُمْ رَسُولٌ أَمِينٌ [26:125]

إِنِّي لَكُمۡ رَسُولٌ أَمِينٞ


(26:125) I am a trustworthy Messenger to you. 

---

### الآية 26:126

> فَاتَّقُوا اللَّهَ وَأَطِيعُونِ [26:126]

فَٱتَّقُواْ ٱللَّهَ وَأَطِيعُونِ


(26:126) So fear Allah and obey me. 

---

### الآية 26:127

> وَمَا أَسْأَلُكُمْ عَلَيْهِ مِنْ أَجْرٍ ۖ إِنْ أَجْرِيَ إِلَّا عَلَىٰ رَبِّ الْعَالَمِينَ [26:127]

وَمَآ أَسۡـَٔلُكُمۡ عَلَيۡهِ مِنۡ أَجۡرٍۖ إِنۡ أَجۡرِيَ إِلَّا عَلَىٰ رَبِّ ٱلۡعَٰلَمِينَ


(26:127) I seek of you no reward for this; my reward is with none but the 
 Lord of the Universe. 

---

### الآية 26:128

> أَتَبْنُونَ بِكُلِّ رِيعٍ آيَةً تَعْبَثُونَ [26:128]

أَتَبۡنُونَ بِكُلِّ رِيعٍ ءَايَةٗ تَعۡبَثُونَ


(26:128) What, you build a monument on every hill merely for fun0

---

### الآية 26:129

> وَتَتَّخِذُونَ مَصَانِعَ لَعَلَّكُمْ تَخْلُدُونَ [26:129]

وَتَتَّخِذُونَ مَصَانِعَ لَعَلَّكُمۡ تَخۡلُدُونَ


(26:129) and erect huge palaces as though you will live for ever,1

---

### الآية 26:130

> وَإِذَا بَطَشْتُمْ بَطَشْتُمْ جَبَّارِينَ [26:130]

وَإِذَا بَطَشۡتُم بَطَشۡتُمۡ جَبَّارِينَ


(26:130) and when you strike you strike like tyrants?2

---

### الآية 26:131

> فَاتَّقُوا اللَّهَ وَأَطِيعُونِ [26:131]

فَٱتَّقُواْ ٱللَّهَ وَأَطِيعُونِ


(26:131) So fear Allah and obey me. 

---

### الآية 26:132

> وَاتَّقُوا الَّذِي أَمَدَّكُمْ بِمَا تَعْلَمُونَ [26:132]

وَٱتَّقُواْ ٱلَّذِيٓ أَمَدَّكُم بِمَا تَعۡلَمُونَ


(26:132) Have fear of Him Who has provided you with all the (good) things 
 you know; 

---

### الآية 26:133

> أَمَدَّكُمْ بِأَنْعَامٍ وَبَنِينَ [26:133]

أَمَدَّكُم بِأَنۡعَٰمٖ وَبَنِينَ


(26:133) Who has provided you with flocks and children 

---

### الآية 26:134

> وَجَنَّاتٍ وَعُيُونٍ [26:134]

وَجَنَّـٰتٖ وَعُيُونٍ


(26:134) and with gardens and springs. 

---

### الآية 26:135

> إِنِّي أَخَافُ عَلَيْكُمْ عَذَابَ يَوْمٍ عَظِيمٍ [26:135]

إِنِّيٓ أَخَافُ عَلَيۡكُمۡ عَذَابَ يَوۡمٍ عَظِيمٖ


(26:135) I fear for you the chastisement of an Awesome Day." 

---

### الآية 26:136

> قَالُوا سَوَاءٌ عَلَيْنَا أَوَعَظْتَ أَمْ لَمْ تَكُنْ مِنَ الْوَاعِظِينَ [26:136]

قَالُواْ سَوَآءٌ عَلَيۡنَآ أَوَعَظۡتَ أَمۡ لَمۡ تَكُن مِّنَ ٱلۡوَٰعِظِينَ


(26:136) They replied: "It is all the same for us whether you admonish us 
 or not. 

---

### الآية 26:137

> إِنْ هَٰذَا إِلَّا خُلُقُ الْأَوَّلِينَ [26:137]

إِنۡ هَٰذَآ إِلَّا خُلُقُ ٱلۡأَوَّلِينَ


(26:137) This has been happening all along.3

---

### الآية 26:138

> وَمَا نَحْنُ بِمُعَذَّبِينَ [26:138]

وَمَا نَحۡنُ بِمُعَذَّبِينَ


(26:138) We will not be subjected to any chastisement." 

---

### الآية 26:139

> فَكَذَّبُوهُ فَأَهْلَكْنَاهُمْ ۗ إِنَّ فِي ذَٰلِكَ لَآيَةً ۖ وَمَا كَانَ أَكْثَرُهُمْ مُؤْمِنِينَ [26:139]

فَكَذَّبُوهُ فَأَهۡلَكۡنَٰهُمۡۚ إِنَّ فِي ذَٰلِكَ لَأٓيَةٗۖ وَمَا كَانَ أَكۡثَرُهُم مُّؤۡمِنِينَ


(26:139) Eventually they gave the lie to him and We destroyed them.4 
 Surely there is a Sign in this, but most of them would not believe. 

---

### الآية 26:140

> وَإِنَّ رَبَّكَ لَهُوَ الْعَزِيزُ الرَّحِيمُ [26:140]

وَإِنَّ رَبَّكَ لَهُوَ ٱلۡعَزِيزُ ٱلرَّحِيمُ


(26:140) Verily your Lord is Immensely Mighty, Most Compassionate. 

---

### الآية 26:141

> كَذَّبَتْ ثَمُودُ الْمُرْسَلِينَ [26:141]

كَذَّبَتۡ ثَمُودُ ٱلۡمُرۡسَلِينَ


(26:141) The Thamud gave the lie to the Messengers.5

---

### الآية 26:142

> إِذْ قَالَ لَهُمْ أَخُوهُمْ صَالِحٌ أَلَا تَتَّقُونَ [26:142]

إِذۡ قَالَ لَهُمۡ أَخُوهُمۡ صَٰلِحٌ أَلَا تَتَّقُونَ


(26:142) Recall when their brother Salih said to them: "Have you no fear?"


---

### الآية 26:143

> إِنِّي لَكُمْ رَسُولٌ أَمِينٌ [26:143]

إِنِّي لَكُمۡ رَسُولٌ أَمِينٞ


(26:143) "I am a trustworthy Messenger to you.6

---

### الآية 26:144

> فَاتَّقُوا اللَّهَ وَأَطِيعُونِ [26:144]

فَٱتَّقُواْ ٱللَّهَ وَأَطِيعُونِ


(26:144) So fear Allah and obey me. 

---

### الآية 26:145

> وَمَا أَسْأَلُكُمْ عَلَيْهِ مِنْ أَجْرٍ ۖ إِنْ أَجْرِيَ إِلَّا عَلَىٰ رَبِّ الْعَالَمِينَ [26:145]

وَمَآ أَسۡـَٔلُكُمۡ عَلَيۡهِ مِنۡ أَجۡرٍۖ إِنۡ أَجۡرِيَ إِلَّا عَلَىٰ رَبِّ ٱلۡعَٰلَمِينَ


(26:145) I ask of you no reward. My reward is with none but the Lord of the 
 Universe. 

---

### الآية 26:146

> أَتُتْرَكُونَ فِي مَا هَاهُنَا آمِنِينَ [26:146]

أَتُتۡرَكُونَ فِي مَا هَٰهُنَآ ءَامِنِينَ


(26:146) Do you believe that you will be left here to live securely in the 
 present state7

---

### الآية 26:147

> فِي جَنَّاتٍ وَعُيُونٍ [26:147]

فِي جَنَّـٰتٖ وَعُيُونٖ


(26:147) amidst gardens and springs 

---

### الآية 26:148

> وَزُرُوعٍ وَنَخْلٍ طَلْعُهَا هَضِيمٌ [26:148]

وَزُرُوعٖ وَنَخۡلٖ طَلۡعُهَا هَضِيمٞ


(26:148) and cornfields and date-palms laden with juicy fruits?8

---

### الآية 26:149

> وَتَنْحِتُونَ مِنَ الْجِبَالِ بُيُوتًا فَارِهِينَ [26:149]

وَتَنۡحِتُونَ مِنَ ٱلۡجِبَالِ بُيُوتٗا فَٰرِهِينَ


(26:149) You hew dwellings in mountains and exult in that.9

---

### الآية 26:150

> فَاتَّقُوا اللَّهَ وَأَطِيعُونِ [26:150]

فَٱتَّقُواْ ٱللَّهَ وَأَطِيعُونِ


(26:150) Fear Allah and obey me 

---

### الآية 26:151

> وَلَا تُطِيعُوا أَمْرَ الْمُسْرِفِينَ [26:151]

وَلَا تُطِيعُوٓاْ أَمۡرَ ٱلۡمُسۡرِفِينَ


(26:151) and do not follow the biddings of those that go to excesses 

---

### الآية 26:152

> الَّذِينَ يُفْسِدُونَ فِي الْأَرْضِ وَلَا يُصْلِحُونَ [26:152]

ٱلَّذِينَ يُفۡسِدُونَ فِي ٱلۡأَرۡضِ وَلَا يُصۡلِحُونَ


(26:152) and spread mischief in the land rather than set things right."0

---

### الآية 26:153

> قَالُوا إِنَّمَا أَنْتَ مِنَ الْمُسَحَّرِينَ [26:153]

قَالُوٓاْ إِنَّمَآ أَنتَ مِنَ ٱلۡمُسَحَّرِينَ


(26:153) They replied: "You are nothing but one of those who are bewitched;1

---

### الآية 26:154

> مَا أَنْتَ إِلَّا بَشَرٌ مِثْلُنَا فَأْتِ بِآيَةٍ إِنْ كُنْتَ مِنَ الصَّادِقِينَ [26:154]

مَآ أَنتَ إِلَّا بَشَرٞ مِّثۡلُنَا فَأۡتِ بِـَٔايَةٍ إِن كُنتَ مِنَ ٱلصَّـٰدِقِينَ


(26:154) you are no different from a mortal like us. So produce a sign if 
 you are truthful."2

---

### الآية 26:155

> قَالَ هَٰذِهِ نَاقَةٌ لَهَا شِرْبٌ وَلَكُمْ شِرْبُ يَوْمٍ مَعْلُومٍ [26:155]

قَالَ هَٰذِهِۦ نَاقَةٞ لَّهَا شِرۡبٞ وَلَكُمۡ شِرۡبُ يَوۡمٖ مَّعۡلُومٖ


(26:155) Salih said: "This is a she-camel.3 There is a day set 
 for her to drink and there is a day set for you to drink.4

---

### الآية 26:156

> وَلَا تَمَسُّوهَا بِسُوءٍ فَيَأْخُذَكُمْ عَذَابُ يَوْمٍ عَظِيمٍ [26:156]

وَلَا تَمَسُّوهَا بِسُوٓءٖ فَيَأۡخُذَكُمۡ عَذَابُ يَوۡمٍ عَظِيمٖ


(26:156) Do not molest her lest the chastisement of an Awesome Day should 
 seize you." 

---

### الآية 26:157

> فَعَقَرُوهَا فَأَصْبَحُوا نَادِمِينَ [26:157]

فَعَقَرُوهَا فَأَصۡبَحُواْ نَٰدِمِينَ


(26:157) But they hamstrung her5 and then regretted it. 

---

### الآية 26:158

> فَأَخَذَهُمُ الْعَذَابُ ۗ إِنَّ فِي ذَٰلِكَ لَآيَةً ۖ وَمَا كَانَ أَكْثَرُهُمْ مُؤْمِنِينَ [26:158]

فَأَخَذَهُمُ ٱلۡعَذَابُۚ إِنَّ فِي ذَٰلِكَ لَأٓيَةٗۖ وَمَا كَانَ أَكۡثَرُهُم مُّؤۡمِنِينَ


(26:158) So the chastisement seized them.6 Surely there is a 
 Sign in this, but most of them would not believe.

### الآية 26:159

> وَإِنَّ رَبَّكَ لَهُوَ الْعَزِيزُ الرَّحِيمُ [26:159]

وَإِنَّ رَبَّكَ لَهُوَ ٱلۡعَزِيزُ ٱلرَّحِيمُ


(26:159) Verily Your Lord is Immensely Mighty, Most Compassionate. 

---

### الآية 26:160

> كَذَّبَتْ قَوْمُ لُوطٍ الْمُرْسَلِينَ [26:160]

كَذَّبَتۡ قَوۡمُ لُوطٍ ٱلۡمُرۡسَلِينَ


(26:160) The people of Lot rejected the Messengers,7 branding 
 them liars. 

---

### الآية 26:161

> إِذْ قَالَ لَهُمْ أَخُوهُمْ لُوطٌ أَلَا تَتَّقُونَ [26:161]

إِذۡ قَالَ لَهُمۡ أَخُوهُمۡ لُوطٌ أَلَا تَتَّقُونَ


(26:161) Recall, when their brother Lot said to them: "Have you no fear?


---

### الآية 26:162

> إِنِّي لَكُمْ رَسُولٌ أَمِينٌ [26:162]

إِنِّي لَكُمۡ رَسُولٌ أَمِينٞ


(26:162) I am a trustworthy Messenger to you. 

---

### الآية 26:163

> فَاتَّقُوا اللَّهَ وَأَطِيعُونِ [26:163]

فَٱتَّقُواْ ٱللَّهَ وَأَطِيعُونِ


(26:163) So fear Allah and obey me. 

---

### الآية 26:164

> وَمَا أَسْأَلُكُمْ عَلَيْهِ مِنْ أَجْرٍ ۖ إِنْ أَجْرِيَ إِلَّا عَلَىٰ رَبِّ الْعَالَمِينَ [26:164]

وَمَآ أَسۡـَٔلُكُمۡ عَلَيۡهِ مِنۡ أَجۡرٍۖ إِنۡ أَجۡرِيَ إِلَّا عَلَىٰ رَبِّ ٱلۡعَٰلَمِينَ


(26:164) I seek of you no reward. My reward is with none but the Lord of 
 the Universe. 

---

### الآية 26:165

> أَتَأْتُونَ الذُّكْرَانَ مِنَ الْعَالَمِينَ [26:165]

أَتَأۡتُونَ ٱلذُّكۡرَانَ مِنَ ٱلۡعَٰلَمِينَ


(26:165) What, of all creation will you go to (fornicate with) the males,8

---

### الآية 26:166

> وَتَذَرُونَ مَا خَلَقَ لَكُمْ رَبُّكُمْ مِنْ أَزْوَاجِكُمْ ۚ بَلْ أَنْتُمْ قَوْمٌ عَادُونَ [26:166]

وَتَذَرُونَ مَا خَلَقَ لَكُمۡ رَبُّكُم مِّنۡ أَزۡوَٰجِكُمۚ بَلۡ أَنتُمۡ قَوۡمٌ عَادُونَ


(26:166) leaving aside those whom Allah has created for you as your mates.9 
 Nay, you are a people that has transgressed all limits."0

---

### الآية 26:167

> قَالُوا لَئِنْ لَمْ تَنْتَهِ يَا لُوطُ لَتَكُونَنَّ مِنَ الْمُخْرَجِينَ [26:167]

قَالُواْ لَئِن لَّمۡ تَنتَهِ يَٰلُوطُ لَتَكُونَنَّ مِنَ ٱلۡمُخۡرَجِينَ


(26:167) They said: "O Lot! If you do not desist, you will be one of those 
 expelled (from our towns)."1

---

### الآية 26:168

> قَالَ إِنِّي لِعَمَلِكُمْ مِنَ الْقَالِينَ [26:168]

قَالَ إِنِّي لِعَمَلِكُم مِّنَ ٱلۡقَالِينَ


(26:168) He said: "I am one of those who abhor your practice. 

---

### الآية 26:169

> رَبِّ نَجِّنِي وَأَهْلِي مِمَّا يَعْمَلُونَ [26:169]

رَبِّ نَجِّنِي وَأَهۡلِي مِمَّا يَعۡمَلُونَ


(26:169) My Lord, deliver me and my family from their wicked deeds."2

---

### الآية 26:170

> فَنَجَّيْنَاهُ وَأَهْلَهُ أَجْمَعِينَ [26:170]

فَنَجَّيۡنَٰهُ وَأَهۡلَهُۥٓ أَجۡمَعِينَ


(26:170) Then We delivered him and all his family 

---

### الآية 26:171

> إِلَّا عَجُوزًا فِي الْغَابِرِينَ [26:171]

إِلَّا عَجُوزٗا فِي ٱلۡغَٰبِرِينَ


(26:171) except an old woman who was among those that stayed behind.3

---

### الآية 26:172

> ثُمَّ دَمَّرْنَا الْآخَرِينَ [26:172]

ثُمَّ دَمَّرۡنَا ٱلۡأٓخَرِينَ


(26:172) Thereafter, We utterly destroyed the rest, 

---

### الآية 26:173

> وَأَمْطَرْنَا عَلَيْهِمْ مَطَرًا ۖ فَسَاءَ مَطَرُ الْمُنْذَرِينَ [26:173]

وَأَمۡطَرۡنَا عَلَيۡهِم مَّطَرٗاۖ فَسَآءَ مَطَرُ ٱلۡمُنذَرِينَ


(26:173) and We sent upon them a rain, an evil rain that fell on those who 
 had been warned.4

---

### الآية 26:174

> إِنَّ فِي ذَٰلِكَ لَآيَةً ۖ وَمَا كَانَ أَكْثَرُهُمْ مُؤْمِنِينَ [26:174]

إِنَّ فِي ذَٰلِكَ لَأٓيَةٗۖ وَمَا كَانَ أَكۡثَرُهُم مُّؤۡمِنِينَ


(26:174) Surely there is a Sign in this, but most of them would not believe.

### الآية 26:175

> وَإِنَّ رَبَّكَ لَهُوَ الْعَزِيزُ الرَّحِيمُ [26:175]

وَإِنَّ رَبَّكَ لَهُوَ ٱلۡعَزِيزُ ٱلرَّحِيمُ


(26:175) Verily Your Lord is Immensely Mighty, Most Compassionate. 

---

### الآية 26:176

> كَذَّبَ أَصْحَابُ الْأَيْكَةِ الْمُرْسَلِينَ [26:176]

كَذَّبَ أَصۡحَٰبُ لۡـَٔيۡكَةِ ٱلۡمُرۡسَلِينَ


(26:176) The people of Aykah also gave the lie to the Messengers.5

---

### الآية 26:177

> إِذْ قَالَ لَهُمْ شُعَيْبٌ أَلَا تَتَّقُونَ [26:177]

إِذۡ قَالَ لَهُمۡ شُعَيۡبٌ أَلَا تَتَّقُونَ


(26:177) Recall, when Shuayb said to them: "Have you no fear? 

---

### الآية 26:178

> إِنِّي لَكُمْ رَسُولٌ أَمِينٌ [26:178]

إِنِّي لَكُمۡ رَسُولٌ أَمِينٞ


(26:178) I am a trustworthy Messenger to you. 

---

### الآية 26:179

> فَاتَّقُوا اللَّهَ وَأَطِيعُونِ [26:179]

فَٱتَّقُواْ ٱللَّهَ وَأَطِيعُونِ


(26:179) So fear Allah and obey me. 

---

### الآية 26:180

> وَمَا أَسْأَلُكُمْ عَلَيْهِ مِنْ أَجْرٍ ۖ إِنْ أَجْرِيَ إِلَّا عَلَىٰ رَبِّ الْعَالَمِينَ [26:180]

وَمَآ أَسۡـَٔلُكُمۡ عَلَيۡهِ مِنۡ أَجۡرٍۖ إِنۡ أَجۡرِيَ إِلَّا عَلَىٰ رَبِّ ٱلۡعَٰلَمِينَ


(26:180) I ask of you no reward for this. My reward is with none but the 
 Lord of the Universe. 

---

### الآية 26:181

> ۞ أَوْفُوا الْكَيْلَ وَلَا تَكُونُوا مِنَ الْمُخْسِرِينَ [26:181]

۞أَوۡفُواْ ٱلۡكَيۡلَ وَلَا تَكُونُواْ مِنَ ٱلۡمُخۡسِرِينَ


(26:181) Fill up the measure and do not diminish the goods of people, 

---

### الآية 26:182

> وَزِنُوا بِالْقِسْطَاسِ الْمُسْتَقِيمِ [26:182]

وَزِنُواْ بِٱلۡقِسۡطَاسِ ٱلۡمُسۡتَقِيمِ


(26:182) weigh with an even balance 

---

### الآية 26:183

> وَلَا تَبْخَسُوا النَّاسَ أَشْيَاءَهُمْ وَلَا تَعْثَوْا فِي الْأَرْضِ مُفْسِدِينَ [26:183]

وَلَا تَبۡخَسُواْ ٱلنَّاسَ أَشۡيَآءَهُمۡ وَلَا تَعۡثَوۡاْ فِي ٱلۡأَرۡضِ مُفۡسِدِينَ


(26:183) and do not deliver short, and do not go about creating mischief 
 in the land, 

---

### الآية 26:184

> وَاتَّقُوا الَّذِي خَلَقَكُمْ وَالْجِبِلَّةَ الْأَوَّلِينَ [26:184]

وَٱتَّقُواْ ٱلَّذِي خَلَقَكُمۡ وَٱلۡجِبِلَّةَ ٱلۡأَوَّلِينَ


(26:184) and have fear of Him Who created you and the earlier generations."

### الآية 26:185

> قَالُوا إِنَّمَا أَنْتَ مِنَ الْمُسَحَّرِينَ [26:185]

قَالُوٓاْ إِنَّمَآ أَنتَ مِنَ ٱلۡمُسَحَّرِينَ


(26:185) They said: "You are no more than one of those who have been bewitched,


---

### الآية 26:186

> وَمَا أَنْتَ إِلَّا بَشَرٌ مِثْلُنَا وَإِنْ نَظُنُّكَ لَمِنَ الْكَاذِبِينَ [26:186]

وَمَآ أَنتَ إِلَّا بَشَرٞ مِّثۡلُنَا وَإِن نَّظُنُّكَ لَمِنَ ٱلۡكَٰذِبِينَ


(26:186) you are only a mortal like us. Indeed we believe that you are an 
 utter liar. 

---

### الآية 26:187

> فَأَسْقِطْ عَلَيْنَا كِسَفًا مِنَ السَّمَاءِ إِنْ كُنْتَ مِنَ الصَّادِقِينَ [26:187]

فَأَسۡقِطۡ عَلَيۡنَا كِسَفٗا مِّنَ ٱلسَّمَآءِ إِن كُنتَ مِنَ ٱلصَّـٰدِقِينَ


(26:187) So cause a piece of the sky to fall upon us if you are truthful."

### الآية 26:188

> قَالَ رَبِّي أَعْلَمُ بِمَا تَعْمَلُونَ [26:188]

قَالَ رَبِّيٓ أَعۡلَمُ بِمَا تَعۡمَلُونَ


(26:188) Shuayb said: "My Lord knows well all what you do."6

---

### الآية 26:189

> فَكَذَّبُوهُ فَأَخَذَهُمْ عَذَابُ يَوْمِ الظُّلَّةِ ۚ إِنَّهُ كَانَ عَذَابَ يَوْمٍ عَظِيمٍ [26:189]

فَكَذَّبُوهُ فَأَخَذَهُمۡ عَذَابُ يَوۡمِ ٱلظُّلَّةِۚ إِنَّهُۥ كَانَ عَذَابَ يَوۡمٍ عَظِيمٍ


(26:189) Then they branded him a liar, whereupon the chastisement of the 
 Day of Canopy overtook them.7 It was the chastisement of a very 
 awesome day. 

---

### الآية 26:190

> إِنَّ فِي ذَٰلِكَ لَآيَةً ۖ وَمَا كَانَ أَكْثَرُهُمْ مُؤْمِنِينَ [26:190]

إِنَّ فِي ذَٰلِكَ لَأٓيَةٗۖ وَمَا كَانَ أَكۡثَرُهُم مُّؤۡمِنِينَ


(26:190) Surely there is a Sign in this, but most of them would not believe.


---

### الآية 26:191

> وَإِنَّ رَبَّكَ لَهُوَ الْعَزِيزُ الرَّحِيمُ [26:191]

وَإِنَّ رَبَّكَ لَهُوَ ٱلۡعَزِيزُ ٱلرَّحِيمُ


(26:191) Verily Your Lord is Immensely Mighty, Most Compassionate. 

---

### الآية 26:192

> وَإِنَّهُ لَتَنْزِيلُ رَبِّ الْعَالَمِينَ [26:192]

وَإِنَّهُۥ لَتَنزِيلُ رَبِّ ٱلۡعَٰلَمِينَ


(26:192) Indeed this8 is a revelation from the Lord of the Universe;9

---

### الآية 26:193

> نَزَلَ بِهِ الرُّوحُ الْأَمِينُ [26:193]

نَزَلَ بِهِ ٱلرُّوحُ ٱلۡأَمِينُ


(26:193) which the truthful spirit0 has carried down 

---

### الآية 26:194

> عَلَىٰ قَلْبِكَ لِتَكُونَ مِنَ الْمُنْذِرِينَ [26:194]

عَلَىٰ قَلۡبِكَ لِتَكُونَ مِنَ ٱلۡمُنذِرِينَ


(26:194) to your heart that you might become one of those who warn (others 
 on behalf of Allah), 

---

### الآية 26:195

> بِلِسَانٍ عَرَبِيٍّ مُبِينٍ [26:195]

بِلِسَانٍ عَرَبِيّٖ مُّبِينٖ


(26:195) (a revelation) in clear Arabic language,1

### الآية 26:196

> وَإِنَّهُ لَفِي زُبُرِ الْأَوَّلِينَ [26:196]

وَإِنَّهُۥ لَفِي زُبُرِ ٱلۡأَوَّلِينَ


(26:196) (a revelation embodied) in the scriptures of the ancients.2

### الآية 26:197

> أَوَلَمْ يَكُنْ لَهُمْ آيَةً أَنْ يَعْلَمَهُ عُلَمَاءُ بَنِي إِسْرَائِيلَ [26:197]

أَوَلَمۡ يَكُن لَّهُمۡ ءَايَةً أَن يَعۡلَمَهُۥ عُلَمَـٰٓؤُاْ بَنِيٓ إِسۡرَـٰٓءِيلَ


(26:197) Is it not a Sign to them � (to wit, the Makkans) � that the learned 
 men of the Children of Israel know that?3

### الآية 26:198

> وَلَوْ نَزَّلْنَاهُ عَلَىٰ بَعْضِ الْأَعْجَمِينَ [26:198]

وَلَوۡ نَزَّلۡنَٰهُ عَلَىٰ بَعۡضِ ٱلۡأَعۡجَمِينَ


(26:198) (But such is their adamance) that had We revealed it to one of the 
 non-Arabs and even if he had recited(this clear Arabic discourse) to them

### الآية 26:199

> فَقَرَأَهُ عَلَيْهِمْ مَا كَانُوا بِهِ مُؤْمِنِينَ [26:199]

فَقَرَأَهُۥ عَلَيۡهِم مَّا كَانُواْ بِهِۦ مُؤۡمِنِينَ


(26:199) they would still not have believed in it.4

### الآية 26:200

> كَذَٰلِكَ سَلَكْنَاهُ فِي قُلُوبِ الْمُجْرِمِينَ [26:200]

كَذَٰلِكَ سَلَكۡنَٰهُ فِي قُلُوبِ ٱلۡمُجۡرِمِينَ


(26:200) Thus have We caused this (Admonition) to penetrate the hearts of 
 the culprits (like a hot rod).5

### الآية 26:201

> لَا يُؤْمِنُونَ بِهِ حَتَّىٰ يَرَوُا الْعَذَابَ الْأَلِيمَ [26:201]

لَا يُؤۡمِنُونَ بِهِۦ حَتَّىٰ يَرَوُاْ ٱلۡعَذَابَ ٱلۡأَلِيمَ


(26:201) They will not believe in it until they clearly see the grievous 
 chastisement.6

### الآية 26:202

> فَيَأْتِيَهُمْ بَغْتَةً وَهُمْ لَا يَشْعُرُونَ [26:202]

فَيَأۡتِيَهُم بَغۡتَةٗ وَهُمۡ لَا يَشۡعُرُونَ


(26:202) But when it comes upon them suddenly, taking them unawares,

### الآية 26:203

> فَيَقُولُوا هَلْ نَحْنُ مُنْظَرُونَ [26:203]

فَيَقُولُواْ هَلۡ نَحۡنُ مُنظَرُونَ


(26:203) they say: "Can we be granted some respite?"7

---

### الآية 26:204

> أَفَبِعَذَابِنَا يَسْتَعْجِلُونَ [26:204]

أَفَبِعَذَابِنَا يَسۡتَعۡجِلُونَ


(26:204) Do they really want Our chastisement to be expedited?

### الآية 26:205

> أَفَرَأَيْتَ إِنْ مَتَّعْنَاهُمْ سِنِينَ [26:205]

أَفَرَءَيۡتَ إِن مَّتَّعۡنَٰهُمۡ سِنِينَ


(26:205) Did you consider that if We were to let them enjoy life for many 
 years

### الآية 26:206

> ثُمَّ جَاءَهُمْ مَا كَانُوا يُوعَدُونَ [26:206]

ثُمَّ جَآءَهُم مَّا كَانُواْ يُوعَدُونَ


(26:206) and then the chastisement of which they were being warned were to 
 come upon them,

### الآية 26:207

> مَا أَغْنَىٰ عَنْهُمْ مَا كَانُوا يُمَتَّعُونَ [26:207]

مَآ أَغۡنَىٰ عَنۡهُم مَّا كَانُواْ يُمَتَّعُونَ


(26:207) of what avail will be the provisions of life which they have been 
 granted to enjoy?8

### الآية 26:208

> وَمَا أَهْلَكْنَا مِنْ قَرْيَةٍ إِلَّا لَهَا مُنْذِرُونَ [26:208]

وَمَآ أَهۡلَكۡنَا مِن قَرۡيَةٍ إِلَّا لَهَا مُنذِرُونَ


(26:208) We never destroyed any habitation but that it had warners

### الآية 26:209

> ذِكْرَىٰ وَمَا كُنَّا ظَالِمِينَ [26:209]

ذِكۡرَىٰ وَمَا كُنَّا ظَٰلِمِينَ


(26:209) to admonish them. We have never been unjust.9

---

### الآية 26:210

> وَمَا تَنَزَّلَتْ بِهِ الشَّيَاطِينُ [26:210]

وَمَا تَنَزَّلَتۡ بِهِ ٱلشَّيَٰطِينُ


(26:210) The satans0 did not bring down this (Clear Book),


---

### الآية 26:211

> وَمَا يَنْبَغِي لَهُمْ وَمَا يَسْتَطِيعُونَ [26:211]

وَمَا يَنۢبَغِي لَهُمۡ وَمَا يَسۡتَطِيعُونَ


(26:211) nor does it behove them,1 nor does it lie in their 
 power.2

### الآية 26:212

> إِنَّهُمْ عَنِ السَّمْعِ لَمَعْزُولُونَ [26:212]

إِنَّهُمۡ عَنِ ٱلسَّمۡعِ لَمَعۡزُولُونَ


(26:212) Indeed they are debarred from even hearing it.3

### الآية 26:213

> فَلَا تَدْعُ مَعَ اللَّهِ إِلَٰهًا آخَرَ فَتَكُونَ مِنَ الْمُعَذَّبِينَ [26:213]

فَلَا تَدۡعُ مَعَ ٱللَّهِ إِلَٰهًا ءَاخَرَ فَتَكُونَ مِنَ ٱلۡمُعَذَّبِينَ


(26:213) So do not call any other god beside Allah lest you become of those 
 who will be punished,4

### الآية 26:214

> وَأَنْذِرْ عَشِيرَتَكَ الْأَقْرَبِينَ [26:214]

وَأَنذِرۡ عَشِيرَتَكَ ٱلۡأَقۡرَبِينَ


(26:214) and warn your nearest kinsmen;5

---

### الآية 26:215

> وَاخْفِضْ جَنَاحَكَ لِمَنِ اتَّبَعَكَ مِنَ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ [26:215]

وَٱخۡفِضۡ جَنَاحَكَ لِمَنِ ٱتَّبَعَكَ مِنَ ٱلۡمُؤۡمِنِينَ


(26:215) and be meek to the believers who follow you.

### الآية 26:216

> فَإِنْ عَصَوْكَ فَقُلْ إِنِّي بَرِيءٌ مِمَّا تَعْمَلُونَ [26:216]

فَإِنۡ عَصَوۡكَ فَقُلۡ إِنِّي بَرِيٓءٞ مِّمَّا تَعۡمَلُونَ


(26:216) Then if they disobey you say to them: "I am quit of what you do."6

### الآية 26:217

> وَتَوَكَّلْ عَلَى الْعَزِيزِ الرَّحِيمِ [26:217]

وَتَوَكَّلۡ عَلَى ٱلۡعَزِيزِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ


(26:217) And put your trust in Him Who is Immensely Mighty, Most Compassionate,7

### الآية 26:218

> الَّذِي يَرَاكَ حِينَ تَقُومُ [26:218]

ٱلَّذِي يَرَىٰكَ حِينَ تَقُومُ


(26:218) Who observes you when you rise (to pray)8

---

### الآية 26:219

> وَتَقَلُّبَكَ فِي السَّاجِدِينَ [26:219]

وَتَقَلُّبَكَ فِي ٱلسَّـٰجِدِينَ


(26:219) and observes your movements among those who prostrate themselves.9

---

### الآية 26:220

> إِنَّهُ هُوَ السَّمِيعُ الْعَلِيمُ [26:220]

إِنَّهُۥ هُوَ ٱلسَّمِيعُ ٱلۡعَلِيمُ


(26:220) He is All-Hearing, All-Knowing. 

---

### الآية 26:221

> هَلْ أُنَبِّئُكُمْ عَلَىٰ مَنْ تَنَزَّلُ الشَّيَاطِينُ [26:221]

هَلۡ أُنَبِّئُكُمۡ عَلَىٰ مَن تَنَزَّلُ ٱلشَّيَٰطِينُ


(26:221) O people, shall I tell you on whom it is that satans descend?

### الآية 26:222

> تَنَزَّلُ عَلَىٰ كُلِّ أَفَّاكٍ أَثِيمٍ [26:222]

تَنَزَّلُ عَلَىٰ كُلِّ أَفَّاكٍ أَثِيمٖ


(26:222) They descend on every forgerer steeped in sin,0

### الآية 26:223

> يُلْقُونَ السَّمْعَ وَأَكْثَرُهُمْ كَاذِبُونَ [26:223]

يُلۡقُونَ ٱلسَّمۡعَ وَأَكۡثَرُهُمۡ كَٰذِبُونَ


(26:223) on those who whisper hearsay in the ears of people; and most of 
 them are liars.1

### الآية 26:224

> وَالشُّعَرَاءُ يَتَّبِعُهُمُ الْغَاوُونَ [26:224]

وَٱلشُّعَرَآءُ يَتَّبِعُهُمُ ٱلۡغَاوُۥنَ


(26:224) As for poets, only the wayward follow them.2

### الآية 26:225

> أَلَمْ تَرَ أَنَّهُمْ فِي كُلِّ وَادٍ يَهِيمُونَ [26:225]

أَلَمۡ تَرَ أَنَّهُمۡ فِي كُلِّ وَادٖ يَهِيمُونَ


(26:225) Do you not see that they wander about in every valley3

### الآية 26:226

> وَأَنَّهُمْ يَقُولُونَ مَا لَا يَفْعَلُونَ [26:226]

وَأَنَّهُمۡ يَقُولُونَ مَا لَا يَفۡعَلُونَ


(26:226) and say things which they do not act upon,4

### الآية 26:227

> إِلَّا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا وَعَمِلُوا الصَّالِحَاتِ وَذَكَرُوا اللَّهَ كَثِيرًا وَانْتَصَرُوا مِنْ بَعْدِ مَا ظُلِمُوا ۗ وَسَيَعْلَمُ الَّذِينَ ظَلَمُوا أَيَّ مُنْقَلَبٍ يَنْقَلِبُونَ [26:227]

إِلَّا ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُواْ وَعَمِلُواْ ٱلصَّـٰلِحَٰتِ وَذَكَرُواْ ٱللَّهَ كَثِيرٗا وَٱنتَصَرُواْ مِنۢ بَعۡدِ مَا ظُلِمُواْۗ وَسَيَعۡلَمُ ٱلَّذِينَ ظَلَمُوٓاْ أَيَّ مُنقَلَبٖ يَنقَلِبُونَ


(26:227) except those who believed and acted righteously and remembered Allah 
 much, and when they themselves were subjected to wrong, they exacted retribution 
 no more than to the extent of the wrong?5 Soon will the wrong-doers 
 know the end that they shall reach.6
