Translation of Surah الطور from "Mufti Taqi Usmani - English translation" in الإنجليزية. ### الآية 52:1 > وَالطُّورِ [52:1] At-Tur ------- --- وَٱلطُّورِ By the mount of Tūr, --- ### الآية 52:2 > وَكِتَابٍ مَسْطُورٍ [52:2] وَكِتَٰبٖ مَّسۡطُورٖ and by a book, written --- ### الآية 52:3 > فِي رَقٍّ مَنْشُورٍ [52:3] فِي رَقّٖ مَّنشُورٖ on an unrolled scroll, --- ### الآية 52:4 > وَالْبَيْتِ الْمَعْمُورِ [52:4] وَٱلۡبَيۡتِ ٱلۡمَعۡمُورِ and by the Populated House (Al-Bait-ul-Ma‘mūr) , --- ### الآية 52:5 > وَالسَّقْفِ الْمَرْفُوعِ [52:5] وَٱلسَّقۡفِ ٱلۡمَرۡفُوعِ and by the roof, raised high, --- ### الآية 52:6 > وَالْبَحْرِ الْمَسْجُورِ [52:6] وَٱلۡبَحۡرِ ٱلۡمَسۡجُورِ and by the sea, flared up (with fire), --- ### الآية 52:7 > إِنَّ عَذَابَ رَبِّكَ لَوَاقِعٌ [52:7] إِنَّ عَذَابَ رَبِّكَ لَوَٰقِعٞ the punishment of your Lord is sure to fall. --- ### الآية 52:8 > مَا لَهُ مِنْ دَافِعٍ [52:8] مَّا لَهُۥ مِن دَافِعٖ There is nothing to push it back, --- ### الآية 52:9 > يَوْمَ تَمُورُ السَّمَاءُ مَوْرًا [52:9] يَوۡمَ تَمُورُ ٱلسَّمَآءُ مَوۡرٗا the Day when the sky will tremble, a horrible trembling, --- ### الآية 52:10 > وَتَسِيرُ الْجِبَالُ سَيْرًا [52:10] وَتَسِيرُ ٱلۡجِبَالُ سَيۡرٗا and the mountains will move about, a terrible movement. --- ### الآية 52:11 > فَوَيْلٌ يَوْمَئِذٍ لِلْمُكَذِّبِينَ [52:11] فَوَيۡلٞ يَوۡمَئِذٖ لِّلۡمُكَذِّبِينَ So, woe to those who reject (the true faith), --- ### الآية 52:12 > الَّذِينَ هُمْ فِي خَوْضٍ يَلْعَبُونَ [52:12] ٱلَّذِينَ هُمۡ فِي خَوۡضٖ يَلۡعَبُونَ who are indulged in vain talk, playing (with truth), --- ### الآية 52:13 > يَوْمَ يُدَعُّونَ إِلَىٰ نَارِ جَهَنَّمَ دَعًّا [52:13] يَوۡمَ يُدَعُّونَ إِلَىٰ نَارِ جَهَنَّمَ دَعًّا the Day they will be pushed to the Fire forcefully, --- ### الآية 52:14 > هَٰذِهِ النَّارُ الَّتِي كُنْتُمْ بِهَا تُكَذِّبُونَ [52:14] هَٰذِهِ ٱلنَّارُ ٱلَّتِي كُنتُم بِهَا تُكَذِّبُونَ (and it will be said to them,) “This is the Fire you used to deny. --- ### الآية 52:15 > أَفَسِحْرٌ هَٰذَا أَمْ أَنْتُمْ لَا تُبْصِرُونَ [52:15] أَفَسِحۡرٌ هَٰذَآ أَمۡ أَنتُمۡ لَا تُبۡصِرُونَ Is it then magic, or do you not see? --- ### الآية 52:16 > اصْلَوْهَا فَاصْبِرُوا أَوْ لَا تَصْبِرُوا سَوَاءٌ عَلَيْكُمْ ۖ إِنَّمَا تُجْزَوْنَ مَا كُنْتُمْ تَعْمَلُونَ [52:16] ٱصۡلَوۡهَا فَٱصۡبِرُوٓاْ أَوۡ لَا تَصۡبِرُواْ سَوَآءٌ عَلَيۡكُمۡۖ إِنَّمَا تُجۡزَوۡنَ مَا كُنتُمۡ تَعۡمَلُونَ Enter it. Now, whether you endure (it) patiently or impatiently, it is all the same for you; you are merely rewarded for what you used to do.” --- ### الآية 52:17 > إِنَّ الْمُتَّقِينَ فِي جَنَّاتٍ وَنَعِيمٍ [52:17] إِنَّ ٱلۡمُتَّقِينَ فِي جَنَّـٰتٖ وَنَعِيمٖ Of course, the God-fearing will be in gardens and bliss, --- ### الآية 52:18 > فَاكِهِينَ بِمَا آتَاهُمْ رَبُّهُمْ وَوَقَاهُمْ رَبُّهُمْ عَذَابَ الْجَحِيمِ [52:18] فَٰكِهِينَ بِمَآ ءَاتَىٰهُمۡ رَبُّهُمۡ وَوَقَىٰهُمۡ رَبُّهُمۡ عَذَابَ ٱلۡجَحِيمِ enjoying what their Lord will have given to them, and their Lord will have saved them from the punishment of Hell. --- ### الآية 52:19 > كُلُوا وَاشْرَبُوا هَنِيئًا بِمَا كُنْتُمْ تَعْمَلُونَ [52:19] كُلُواْ وَٱشۡرَبُواْ هَنِيٓـَٔۢا بِمَا كُنتُمۡ تَعۡمَلُونَ (It will be said to them,) “Eat and drink pleasantly because of what you used to do, --- ### الآية 52:20 > مُتَّكِئِينَ عَلَىٰ سُرُرٍ مَصْفُوفَةٍ ۖ وَزَوَّجْنَاهُمْ بِحُورٍ عِينٍ [52:20] مُتَّكِـِٔينَ عَلَىٰ سُرُرٖ مَّصۡفُوفَةٖۖ وَزَوَّجۡنَٰهُم بِحُورٍ عِينٖ relaxing on lined up couches”. And We will marry them with big-eyed houris. --- ### الآية 52:21 > وَالَّذِينَ آمَنُوا وَاتَّبَعَتْهُمْ ذُرِّيَّتُهُمْ بِإِيمَانٍ أَلْحَقْنَا بِهِمْ ذُرِّيَّتَهُمْ وَمَا أَلَتْنَاهُمْ مِنْ عَمَلِهِمْ مِنْ شَيْءٍ ۚ كُلُّ امْرِئٍ بِمَا كَسَبَ رَهِينٌ [52:21] وَٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُواْ وَٱتَّبَعَتۡهُمۡ ذُرِّيَّتُهُم بِإِيمَٰنٍ أَلۡحَقۡنَا بِهِمۡ ذُرِّيَّتَهُمۡ وَمَآ أَلَتۡنَٰهُم مِّنۡ عَمَلِهِم مِّن شَيۡءٖۚ كُلُّ ٱمۡرِيِٕۭ بِمَا كَسَبَ رَهِينٞ And those who believed and their children followed them in belief, We will join their children with them, and will not curtail (the reward of) any of their deeds at all. Every person will be pledged for what he earned. --- ### الآية 52:22 > وَأَمْدَدْنَاهُمْ بِفَاكِهَةٍ وَلَحْمٍ مِمَّا يَشْتَهُونَ [52:22] وَأَمۡدَدۡنَٰهُم بِفَٰكِهَةٖ وَلَحۡمٖ مِّمَّا يَشۡتَهُونَ And We will go on giving them whatever they desire of fruits and meat. --- ### الآية 52:23 > يَتَنَازَعُونَ فِيهَا كَأْسًا لَا لَغْوٌ فِيهَا وَلَا تَأْثِيمٌ [52:23] يَتَنَٰزَعُونَ فِيهَا كَأۡسٗا لَّا لَغۡوٞ فِيهَا وَلَا تَأۡثِيمٞ They will snatch from one another (in a friendly manner) a glass (of wine) carrying neither absurd talk, nor something leading to sin. --- ### الآية 52:24 > ۞ وَيَطُوفُ عَلَيْهِمْ غِلْمَانٌ لَهُمْ كَأَنَّهُمْ لُؤْلُؤٌ مَكْنُونٌ [52:24] ۞وَيَطُوفُ عَلَيۡهِمۡ غِلۡمَانٞ لَّهُمۡ كَأَنَّهُمۡ لُؤۡلُؤٞ مَّكۡنُونٞ And their own serving boys will rotate around them, (who will be as neat and clean) as if they were hidden pearls. --- ### الآية 52:25 > وَأَقْبَلَ بَعْضُهُمْ عَلَىٰ بَعْضٍ يَتَسَاءَلُونَ [52:25] وَأَقۡبَلَ بَعۡضُهُمۡ عَلَىٰ بَعۡضٖ يَتَسَآءَلُونَ And they will advance to one another, asking (about each other’s welfare). --- ### الآية 52:26 > قَالُوا إِنَّا كُنَّا قَبْلُ فِي أَهْلِنَا مُشْفِقِينَ [52:26] قَالُوٓاْ إِنَّا كُنَّا قَبۡلُ فِيٓ أَهۡلِنَا مُشۡفِقِينَ They will say, “Indeed we were afraid (of Allah’s punishment) when we were amidst our family, --- ### الآية 52:27 > فَمَنَّ اللَّهُ عَلَيْنَا وَوَقَانَا عَذَابَ السَّمُومِ [52:27] فَمَنَّ ٱللَّهُ عَلَيۡنَا وَوَقَىٰنَا عَذَابَ ٱلسَّمُومِ but Allah did favour to us and saved us from the torment of Fire’s scorching breath. --- ### الآية 52:28 > إِنَّا كُنَّا مِنْ قَبْلُ نَدْعُوهُ ۖ إِنَّهُ هُوَ الْبَرُّ الرَّحِيمُ [52:28] إِنَّا كُنَّا مِن قَبۡلُ نَدۡعُوهُۖ إِنَّهُۥ هُوَ ٱلۡبَرُّ ٱلرَّحِيمُ We used to pray to Him before. He is surely the Most-Kind, the Very-Merciful. --- ### الآية 52:29 > فَذَكِّرْ فَمَا أَنْتَ بِنِعْمَتِ رَبِّكَ بِكَاهِنٍ وَلَا مَجْنُونٍ [52:29] فَذَكِّرۡ فَمَآ أَنتَ بِنِعۡمَتِ رَبِّكَ بِكَاهِنٖ وَلَا مَجۡنُونٍ So keep reminding (them), because by the grace of your Lord, you are neither a soothsayer, nor a mad man. --- ### الآية 52:30 > أَمْ يَقُولُونَ شَاعِرٌ نَتَرَبَّصُ بِهِ رَيْبَ الْمَنُونِ [52:30] أَمۡ يَقُولُونَ شَاعِرٞ نَّتَرَبَّصُ بِهِۦ رَيۡبَ ٱلۡمَنُونِ Do they rather say, “He is a poet for whom we are awaiting the accident of death?” --- ### الآية 52:31 > قُلْ تَرَبَّصُوا فَإِنِّي مَعَكُمْ مِنَ الْمُتَرَبِّصِينَ [52:31] قُلۡ تَرَبَّصُواْ فَإِنِّي مَعَكُم مِّنَ ٱلۡمُتَرَبِّصِينَ Say, “Wait! I am waiting with you, too.” --- ### الآية 52:32 > أَمْ تَأْمُرُهُمْ أَحْلَامُهُمْ بِهَٰذَا ۚ أَمْ هُمْ قَوْمٌ طَاغُونَ [52:32] أَمۡ تَأۡمُرُهُمۡ أَحۡلَٰمُهُم بِهَٰذَآۚ أَمۡ هُمۡ قَوۡمٞ طَاغُونَ Is it their intellects that direct them to (say) this, or are they a rebellious people? --- ### الآية 52:33 > أَمْ يَقُولُونَ تَقَوَّلَهُ ۚ بَلْ لَا يُؤْمِنُونَ [52:33] أَمۡ يَقُولُونَ تَقَوَّلَهُۥۚ بَل لَّا يُؤۡمِنُونَ Do they rather say, “He has forged it (the Qur’ān.)”? No, but they do not believe. --- ### الآية 52:34 > فَلْيَأْتُوا بِحَدِيثٍ مِثْلِهِ إِنْ كَانُوا صَادِقِينَ [52:34] فَلۡيَأۡتُواْ بِحَدِيثٖ مِّثۡلِهِۦٓ إِن كَانُواْ صَٰدِقِينَ So, let them bring a discourse like this, if they are truthful. --- ### الآية 52:35 > أَمْ خُلِقُوا مِنْ غَيْرِ شَيْءٍ أَمْ هُمُ الْخَالِقُونَ [52:35] أَمۡ خُلِقُواْ مِنۡ غَيۡرِ شَيۡءٍ أَمۡ هُمُ ٱلۡخَٰلِقُونَ Is it that they are created by none, or are they themselves the creators? --- ### الآية 52:36 > أَمْ خَلَقُوا السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضَ ۚ بَلْ لَا يُوقِنُونَ [52:36] أَمۡ خَلَقُواْ ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَٱلۡأَرۡضَۚ بَل لَّا يُوقِنُونَ Or have they created the heavens and the earth? No, but they are sure of nothing. --- ### الآية 52:37 > أَمْ عِنْدَهُمْ خَزَائِنُ رَبِّكَ أَمْ هُمُ الْمُصَيْطِرُونَ [52:37] أَمۡ عِندَهُمۡ خَزَآئِنُ رَبِّكَ أَمۡ هُمُ ٱلۡمُصَۜيۡطِرُونَ Or do they have the treasures of your Lord, or have they acquired control (over them)? --- ### الآية 52:38 > أَمْ لَهُمْ سُلَّمٌ يَسْتَمِعُونَ فِيهِ ۖ فَلْيَأْتِ مُسْتَمِعُهُمْ بِسُلْطَانٍ مُبِينٍ [52:38] أَمۡ لَهُمۡ سُلَّمٞ يَسۡتَمِعُونَ فِيهِۖ فَلۡيَأۡتِ مُسۡتَمِعُهُم بِسُلۡطَٰنٖ مُّبِينٍ Or have they a stairway (to the heavens) by means of which they listen (to the divine decrees)? If so, their listener must bring a clear proof. --- ### الآية 52:39 > أَمْ لَهُ الْبَنَاتُ وَلَكُمُ الْبَنُونَ [52:39] أَمۡ لَهُ ٱلۡبَنَٰتُ وَلَكُمُ ٱلۡبَنُونَ Is it that He has daughters and you have sons? --- ### الآية 52:40 > أَمْ تَسْأَلُهُمْ أَجْرًا فَهُمْ مِنْ مَغْرَمٍ مُثْقَلُونَ [52:40] أَمۡ تَسۡـَٔلُهُمۡ أَجۡرٗا فَهُم مِّن مَّغۡرَمٖ مُّثۡقَلُونَ Or is it that you (O prophet) ask them for a fee, and therefore they are burdened with a liability? --- ### الآية 52:41 > أَمْ عِنْدَهُمُ الْغَيْبُ فَهُمْ يَكْتُبُونَ [52:41] أَمۡ عِندَهُمُ ٱلۡغَيۡبُ فَهُمۡ يَكۡتُبُونَ Or have they the knowledge of the Unseen, and they are recording it? --- ### الآية 52:42 > أَمْ يُرِيدُونَ كَيْدًا ۖ فَالَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا هُمُ الْمَكِيدُونَ [52:42] أَمۡ يُرِيدُونَ كَيۡدٗاۖ فَٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُواْ هُمُ ٱلۡمَكِيدُونَ Or do they intend to plan to do harm (to the prophet)? Then the disbelievers themselves shall be harmed by the plan. --- ### الآية 52:43 > أَمْ لَهُمْ إِلَٰهٌ غَيْرُ اللَّهِ ۚ سُبْحَانَ اللَّهِ عَمَّا يُشْرِكُونَ [52:43] أَمۡ لَهُمۡ إِلَٰهٌ غَيۡرُ ٱللَّهِۚ سُبۡحَٰنَ ٱللَّهِ عَمَّا يُشۡرِكُونَ Or do they have a god other than Allah? Pure is Allah from what they associate with Him. --- ### الآية 52:44 > وَإِنْ يَرَوْا كِسْفًا مِنَ السَّمَاءِ سَاقِطًا يَقُولُوا سَحَابٌ مَرْكُومٌ [52:44] وَإِن يَرَوۡاْ كِسۡفٗا مِّنَ ٱلسَّمَآءِ سَاقِطٗا يَقُولُواْ سَحَابٞ مَّرۡكُومٞ Even if they see a piece falling down from the sky, they would say, “It is a cumulated cloud.” --- ### الآية 52:45 > فَذَرْهُمْ حَتَّىٰ يُلَاقُوا يَوْمَهُمُ الَّذِي فِيهِ يُصْعَقُونَ [52:45] فَذَرۡهُمۡ حَتَّىٰ يُلَٰقُواْ يَوۡمَهُمُ ٱلَّذِي فِيهِ يُصۡعَقُونَ So, leave them alone until they face their Day, in which they will be turned unconscious, --- ### الآية 52:46 > يَوْمَ لَا يُغْنِي عَنْهُمْ كَيْدُهُمْ شَيْئًا وَلَا هُمْ يُنْصَرُونَ [52:46] يَوۡمَ لَا يُغۡنِي عَنۡهُمۡ كَيۡدُهُمۡ شَيۡـٔٗا وَلَا هُمۡ يُنصَرُونَ the Day their planning will not benefit them in the least, nor will they be helped. --- ### الآية 52:47 > وَإِنَّ لِلَّذِينَ ظَلَمُوا عَذَابًا دُونَ ذَٰلِكَ وَلَٰكِنَّ أَكْثَرَهُمْ لَا يَعْلَمُونَ [52:47] وَإِنَّ لِلَّذِينَ ظَلَمُواْ عَذَابٗا دُونَ ذَٰلِكَ وَلَٰكِنَّ أَكۡثَرَهُمۡ لَا يَعۡلَمُونَ And for those who did wrong there is another punishment before that, but most of them do not know. --- ### الآية 52:48 > وَاصْبِرْ لِحُكْمِ رَبِّكَ فَإِنَّكَ بِأَعْيُنِنَا ۖ وَسَبِّحْ بِحَمْدِ رَبِّكَ حِينَ تَقُومُ [52:48] وَٱصۡبِرۡ لِحُكۡمِ رَبِّكَ فَإِنَّكَ بِأَعۡيُنِنَاۖ وَسَبِّحۡ بِحَمۡدِ رَبِّكَ حِينَ تَقُومُ And (O Prophet) be patient about the decision of your Lord, because you are in front of Our Eyes.
