Translation of Surah القمر from "Yusuf Ali - English translation" in الإنجليزية. ### الآية 54:1 > اقْتَرَبَتِ السَّاعَةُ وَانْشَقَّ الْقَمَرُ [54:1] Al-Qamar --------- --- ٱقۡتَرَبَتِ ٱلسَّاعَةُ وَٱنشَقَّ ٱلۡقَمَرُ The Hour (of Judgment) is nigh, and the moon is cleft asunder. --- ### الآية 54:2 > وَإِنْ يَرَوْا آيَةً يُعْرِضُوا وَيَقُولُوا سِحْرٌ مُسْتَمِرٌّ [54:2] وَإِن يَرَوۡاْ ءَايَةٗ يُعۡرِضُواْ وَيَقُولُواْ سِحۡرٞ مُّسۡتَمِرّٞ But if they see a Sign, they turn away, and say, "This is (but) transient magic." --- ### الآية 54:3 > وَكَذَّبُوا وَاتَّبَعُوا أَهْوَاءَهُمْ ۚ وَكُلُّ أَمْرٍ مُسْتَقِرٌّ [54:3] وَكَذَّبُواْ وَٱتَّبَعُوٓاْ أَهۡوَآءَهُمۡۚ وَكُلُّ أَمۡرٖ مُّسۡتَقِرّٞ They reject (the warning) and follow their (own) lusts but every matter has its appointed time. --- ### الآية 54:4 > وَلَقَدْ جَاءَهُمْ مِنَ الْأَنْبَاءِ مَا فِيهِ مُزْدَجَرٌ [54:4] وَلَقَدۡ جَآءَهُم مِّنَ ٱلۡأَنۢبَآءِ مَا فِيهِ مُزۡدَجَرٌ There have already come to them Recitals wherein there is (enough) to check (them), --- ### الآية 54:5 > حِكْمَةٌ بَالِغَةٌ ۖ فَمَا تُغْنِ النُّذُرُ [54:5] حِكۡمَةُۢ بَٰلِغَةٞۖ فَمَا تُغۡنِ ٱلنُّذُرُ Mature wisdom;- but (the preaching of) Warners profits them not. --- ### الآية 54:6 > فَتَوَلَّ عَنْهُمْ ۘ يَوْمَ يَدْعُ الدَّاعِ إِلَىٰ شَيْءٍ نُكُرٍ [54:6] فَتَوَلَّ عَنۡهُمۡۘ يَوۡمَ يَدۡعُ ٱلدَّاعِ إِلَىٰ شَيۡءٖ نُّكُرٍ Therefore, (O Prophet,) turn away from them. The Day that the Caller will call (them) to a terrible affair, --- ### الآية 54:7 > خُشَّعًا أَبْصَارُهُمْ يَخْرُجُونَ مِنَ الْأَجْدَاثِ كَأَنَّهُمْ جَرَادٌ مُنْتَشِرٌ [54:7] خُشَّعًا أَبۡصَٰرُهُمۡ يَخۡرُجُونَ مِنَ ٱلۡأَجۡدَاثِ كَأَنَّهُمۡ جَرَادٞ مُّنتَشِرٞ They will come forth,- their eyes humbled - from (their) graves, (torpid) like locusts scattered abroad, --- ### الآية 54:8 > مُهْطِعِينَ إِلَى الدَّاعِ ۖ يَقُولُ الْكَافِرُونَ هَٰذَا يَوْمٌ عَسِرٌ [54:8] مُّهۡطِعِينَ إِلَى ٱلدَّاعِۖ يَقُولُ ٱلۡكَٰفِرُونَ هَٰذَا يَوۡمٌ عَسِرٞ Hastening, with eyes transfixed, towards the Caller!- "Hard is this Day!", the Unbelievers will say. --- ### الآية 54:9 > ۞ كَذَّبَتْ قَبْلَهُمْ قَوْمُ نُوحٍ فَكَذَّبُوا عَبْدَنَا وَقَالُوا مَجْنُونٌ وَازْدُجِرَ [54:9] ۞كَذَّبَتۡ قَبۡلَهُمۡ قَوۡمُ نُوحٖ فَكَذَّبُواْ عَبۡدَنَا وَقَالُواْ مَجۡنُونٞ وَٱزۡدُجِرَ Before them the People of Noah rejected (their messenger): they rejected Our servant, and said, "Here is one possessed!", and he was driven out. --- ### الآية 54:10 > فَدَعَا رَبَّهُ أَنِّي مَغْلُوبٌ فَانْتَصِرْ [54:10] فَدَعَا رَبَّهُۥٓ أَنِّي مَغۡلُوبٞ فَٱنتَصِرۡ Then he called on his Lord: "I am one overcome: do Thou then help (me)!" --- ### الآية 54:11 > فَفَتَحْنَا أَبْوَابَ السَّمَاءِ بِمَاءٍ مُنْهَمِرٍ [54:11] فَفَتَحۡنَآ أَبۡوَٰبَ ٱلسَّمَآءِ بِمَآءٖ مُّنۡهَمِرٖ So We opened the gates of heaven, with water pouring forth. --- ### الآية 54:12 > وَفَجَّرْنَا الْأَرْضَ عُيُونًا فَالْتَقَى الْمَاءُ عَلَىٰ أَمْرٍ قَدْ قُدِرَ [54:12] وَفَجَّرۡنَا ٱلۡأَرۡضَ عُيُونٗا فَٱلۡتَقَى ٱلۡمَآءُ عَلَىٰٓ أَمۡرٖ قَدۡ قُدِرَ And We caused the earth to gush forth with springs, so the waters met (and rose) to the extent decreed. --- ### الآية 54:13 > وَحَمَلْنَاهُ عَلَىٰ ذَاتِ أَلْوَاحٍ وَدُسُرٍ [54:13] وَحَمَلۡنَٰهُ عَلَىٰ ذَاتِ أَلۡوَٰحٖ وَدُسُرٖ But We bore him on an (Ark) made of broad planks and caulked with palm-fibre: --- ### الآية 54:14 > تَجْرِي بِأَعْيُنِنَا جَزَاءً لِمَنْ كَانَ كُفِرَ [54:14] تَجۡرِي بِأَعۡيُنِنَا جَزَآءٗ لِّمَن كَانَ كُفِرَ She floats under our eyes (and care): a recompense to one who had been rejected (with scorn)! --- ### الآية 54:15 > وَلَقَدْ تَرَكْنَاهَا آيَةً فَهَلْ مِنْ مُدَّكِرٍ [54:15] وَلَقَد تَّرَكۡنَٰهَآ ءَايَةٗ فَهَلۡ مِن مُّدَّكِرٖ And We have left this as a Sign (for all time): then is there any that will receive admonition? --- ### الآية 54:16 > فَكَيْفَ كَانَ عَذَابِي وَنُذُرِ [54:16] فَكَيۡفَ كَانَ عَذَابِي وَنُذُرِ But how (terrible) was My Penalty and My Warning? --- ### الآية 54:17 > وَلَقَدْ يَسَّرْنَا الْقُرْآنَ لِلذِّكْرِ فَهَلْ مِنْ مُدَّكِرٍ [54:17] وَلَقَدۡ يَسَّرۡنَا ٱلۡقُرۡءَانَ لِلذِّكۡرِ فَهَلۡ مِن مُّدَّكِرٖ And We have indeed made the Qur'an easy to understand and remember: then is there any that will receive admonition? --- ### الآية 54:18 > كَذَّبَتْ عَادٌ فَكَيْفَ كَانَ عَذَابِي وَنُذُرِ [54:18] كَذَّبَتۡ عَادٞ فَكَيۡفَ كَانَ عَذَابِي وَنُذُرِ The 'Ad (people) (too) rejected (Truth): then how terrible was My Penalty and My Warning? --- ### الآية 54:19 > إِنَّا أَرْسَلْنَا عَلَيْهِمْ رِيحًا صَرْصَرًا فِي يَوْمِ نَحْسٍ مُسْتَمِرٍّ [54:19] إِنَّآ أَرۡسَلۡنَا عَلَيۡهِمۡ رِيحٗا صَرۡصَرٗا فِي يَوۡمِ نَحۡسٖ مُّسۡتَمِرّٖ For We sent against them a furious wind, on a Day of violent Disaster, --- ### الآية 54:20 > تَنْزِعُ النَّاسَ كَأَنَّهُمْ أَعْجَازُ نَخْلٍ مُنْقَعِرٍ [54:20] تَنزِعُ ٱلنَّاسَ كَأَنَّهُمۡ أَعۡجَازُ نَخۡلٖ مُّنقَعِرٖ Plucking out men as if they were roots of palm-trees torn up (from the ground). --- ### الآية 54:21 > فَكَيْفَ كَانَ عَذَابِي وَنُذُرِ [54:21] فَكَيۡفَ كَانَ عَذَابِي وَنُذُرِ Yea, how (terrible) was My Penalty and My Warning! --- ### الآية 54:22 > وَلَقَدْ يَسَّرْنَا الْقُرْآنَ لِلذِّكْرِ فَهَلْ مِنْ مُدَّكِرٍ [54:22] وَلَقَدۡ يَسَّرۡنَا ٱلۡقُرۡءَانَ لِلذِّكۡرِ فَهَلۡ مِن مُّدَّكِرٖ But We have indeed made the Qur'an easy to understand and remember: then is there any that will receive admonition? --- ### الآية 54:23 > كَذَّبَتْ ثَمُودُ بِالنُّذُرِ [54:23] كَذَّبَتۡ ثَمُودُ بِٱلنُّذُرِ The Thamud (also) rejected (their) Warners. --- ### الآية 54:24 > فَقَالُوا أَبَشَرًا مِنَّا وَاحِدًا نَتَّبِعُهُ إِنَّا إِذًا لَفِي ضَلَالٍ وَسُعُرٍ [54:24] فَقَالُوٓاْ أَبَشَرٗا مِّنَّا وَٰحِدٗا نَّتَّبِعُهُۥٓ إِنَّآ إِذٗا لَّفِي ضَلَٰلٖ وَسُعُرٍ For they said: "What! a man! a Solitary one from among ourselves! shall we follow such a one? Truly should we then be straying in mind, and mad! --- ### الآية 54:25 > أَأُلْقِيَ الذِّكْرُ عَلَيْهِ مِنْ بَيْنِنَا بَلْ هُوَ كَذَّابٌ أَشِرٌ [54:25] أَءُلۡقِيَ ٱلذِّكۡرُ عَلَيۡهِ مِنۢ بَيۡنِنَا بَلۡ هُوَ كَذَّابٌ أَشِرٞ "Is it that the Message is sent to him, of all people amongst us? Nay, he is a liar, an insolent one!" --- ### الآية 54:26 > سَيَعْلَمُونَ غَدًا مَنِ الْكَذَّابُ الْأَشِرُ [54:26] سَيَعۡلَمُونَ غَدٗا مَّنِ ٱلۡكَذَّابُ ٱلۡأَشِرُ Ah! they will know on the morrow, which is the liar, the insolent one! --- ### الآية 54:27 > إِنَّا مُرْسِلُو النَّاقَةِ فِتْنَةً لَهُمْ فَارْتَقِبْهُمْ وَاصْطَبِرْ [54:27] إِنَّا مُرۡسِلُواْ ٱلنَّاقَةِ فِتۡنَةٗ لَّهُمۡ فَٱرۡتَقِبۡهُمۡ وَٱصۡطَبِرۡ For We will send the she-camel by way of trial for them. So watch them, (O Salih), and possess thyself in patience! --- ### الآية 54:28 > وَنَبِّئْهُمْ أَنَّ الْمَاءَ قِسْمَةٌ بَيْنَهُمْ ۖ كُلُّ شِرْبٍ مُحْتَضَرٌ [54:28] وَنَبِّئۡهُمۡ أَنَّ ٱلۡمَآءَ قِسۡمَةُۢ بَيۡنَهُمۡۖ كُلُّ شِرۡبٖ مُّحۡتَضَرٞ And tell them that the water is to be divided between them: Each one's right to drink being brought forward (by suitable turns). --- ### الآية 54:29 > فَنَادَوْا صَاحِبَهُمْ فَتَعَاطَىٰ فَعَقَرَ [54:29] فَنَادَوۡاْ صَاحِبَهُمۡ فَتَعَاطَىٰ فَعَقَرَ But they called to their companion, and he took a sword in hand, and hamstrung (her). --- ### الآية 54:30 > فَكَيْفَ كَانَ عَذَابِي وَنُذُرِ [54:30] فَكَيۡفَ كَانَ عَذَابِي وَنُذُرِ Ah! how (terrible) was My Penalty and My Warning! --- ### الآية 54:31 > إِنَّا أَرْسَلْنَا عَلَيْهِمْ صَيْحَةً وَاحِدَةً فَكَانُوا كَهَشِيمِ الْمُحْتَظِرِ [54:31] إِنَّآ أَرۡسَلۡنَا عَلَيۡهِمۡ صَيۡحَةٗ وَٰحِدَةٗ فَكَانُواْ كَهَشِيمِ ٱلۡمُحۡتَظِرِ For We sent against them a single Mighty Blast, and they became like the dry stubble used by one who pens cattle. --- ### الآية 54:32 > وَلَقَدْ يَسَّرْنَا الْقُرْآنَ لِلذِّكْرِ فَهَلْ مِنْ مُدَّكِرٍ [54:32] وَلَقَدۡ يَسَّرۡنَا ٱلۡقُرۡءَانَ لِلذِّكۡرِ فَهَلۡ مِن مُّدَّكِرٖ And We have indeed made the Qur'an easy to understand and remember: then is there any that will receive admonition? --- ### الآية 54:33 > كَذَّبَتْ قَوْمُ لُوطٍ بِالنُّذُرِ [54:33] كَذَّبَتۡ قَوۡمُ لُوطِۭ بِٱلنُّذُرِ The people of Lut rejected (his) warning. --- ### الآية 54:34 > إِنَّا أَرْسَلْنَا عَلَيْهِمْ حَاصِبًا إِلَّا آلَ لُوطٍ ۖ نَجَّيْنَاهُمْ بِسَحَرٍ [54:34] إِنَّآ أَرۡسَلۡنَا عَلَيۡهِمۡ حَاصِبًا إِلَّآ ءَالَ لُوطٖۖ نَّجَّيۡنَٰهُم بِسَحَرٖ We sent against them a violent Tornado with showers of stones, (which destroyed them), except Lut's household: them We delivered by early Dawn,- --- ### الآية 54:35 > نِعْمَةً مِنْ عِنْدِنَا ۚ كَذَٰلِكَ نَجْزِي مَنْ شَكَرَ [54:35] نِّعۡمَةٗ مِّنۡ عِندِنَاۚ كَذَٰلِكَ نَجۡزِي مَن شَكَرَ As a Grace from Us: thus do We reward those who give thanks. --- ### الآية 54:36 > وَلَقَدْ أَنْذَرَهُمْ بَطْشَتَنَا فَتَمَارَوْا بِالنُّذُرِ [54:36] وَلَقَدۡ أَنذَرَهُم بَطۡشَتَنَا فَتَمَارَوۡاْ بِٱلنُّذُرِ And (Lut) did warn them of Our Punishment, but they disputed about the Warning. --- ### الآية 54:37 > وَلَقَدْ رَاوَدُوهُ عَنْ ضَيْفِهِ فَطَمَسْنَا أَعْيُنَهُمْ فَذُوقُوا عَذَابِي وَنُذُرِ [54:37] وَلَقَدۡ رَٰوَدُوهُ عَن ضَيۡفِهِۦ فَطَمَسۡنَآ أَعۡيُنَهُمۡ فَذُوقُواْ عَذَابِي وَنُذُرِ And they even sought to snatch away his guests from him, but We blinded their eyes. (They heard:) "Now taste ye My Wrath and My Warning." --- ### الآية 54:38 > وَلَقَدْ صَبَّحَهُمْ بُكْرَةً عَذَابٌ مُسْتَقِرٌّ [54:38] وَلَقَدۡ صَبَّحَهُم بُكۡرَةً عَذَابٞ مُّسۡتَقِرّٞ Early on the morrow an abiding Punishment seized them: --- ### الآية 54:39 > فَذُوقُوا عَذَابِي وَنُذُرِ [54:39] فَذُوقُواْ عَذَابِي وَنُذُرِ "So taste ye My Wrath and My Warning." --- ### الآية 54:40 > وَلَقَدْ يَسَّرْنَا الْقُرْآنَ لِلذِّكْرِ فَهَلْ مِنْ مُدَّكِرٍ [54:40] وَلَقَدۡ يَسَّرۡنَا ٱلۡقُرۡءَانَ لِلذِّكۡرِ فَهَلۡ مِن مُّدَّكِرٖ And We have indeed made the Qur'an easy to understand and remember: then is there any that will receive admonition? --- ### الآية 54:41 > وَلَقَدْ جَاءَ آلَ فِرْعَوْنَ النُّذُرُ [54:41] وَلَقَدۡ جَآءَ ءَالَ فِرۡعَوۡنَ ٱلنُّذُرُ To the People of Pharaoh, too, aforetime, came Warners (from Allah). --- ### الآية 54:42 > كَذَّبُوا بِآيَاتِنَا كُلِّهَا فَأَخَذْنَاهُمْ أَخْذَ عَزِيزٍ مُقْتَدِرٍ [54:42] كَذَّبُواْ بِـَٔايَٰتِنَا كُلِّهَا فَأَخَذۡنَٰهُمۡ أَخۡذَ عَزِيزٖ مُّقۡتَدِرٍ The (people) rejected all Our Signs; but We seized them with such Penalty (as comes) from One Exalted in Power, able to carry out His Will. --- ### الآية 54:43 > أَكُفَّارُكُمْ خَيْرٌ مِنْ أُولَٰئِكُمْ أَمْ لَكُمْ بَرَاءَةٌ فِي الزُّبُرِ [54:43] أَكُفَّارُكُمۡ خَيۡرٞ مِّنۡ أُوْلَـٰٓئِكُمۡ أَمۡ لَكُم بَرَآءَةٞ فِي ٱلزُّبُرِ Are your Unbelievers, (O Quraish), better than they? Or have ye an immunity in the Sacred Books? --- ### الآية 54:44 > أَمْ يَقُولُونَ نَحْنُ جَمِيعٌ مُنْتَصِرٌ [54:44] أَمۡ يَقُولُونَ نَحۡنُ جَمِيعٞ مُّنتَصِرٞ Or do they say: "We acting together can defend ourselves"? --- ### الآية 54:45 > سَيُهْزَمُ الْجَمْعُ وَيُوَلُّونَ الدُّبُرَ [54:45] سَيُهۡزَمُ ٱلۡجَمۡعُ وَيُوَلُّونَ ٱلدُّبُرَ Soon will their multitude be put to flight, and they will show their backs. --- ### الآية 54:46 > بَلِ السَّاعَةُ مَوْعِدُهُمْ وَالسَّاعَةُ أَدْهَىٰ وَأَمَرُّ [54:46] بَلِ ٱلسَّاعَةُ مَوۡعِدُهُمۡ وَٱلسَّاعَةُ أَدۡهَىٰ وَأَمَرُّ Nay, the Hour (of Judgment) is the time promised them (for their full recompense): And that Hour will be most grievous and most bitter. --- ### الآية 54:47 > إِنَّ الْمُجْرِمِينَ فِي ضَلَالٍ وَسُعُرٍ [54:47] إِنَّ ٱلۡمُجۡرِمِينَ فِي ضَلَٰلٖ وَسُعُرٖ Truly those in sin are the ones straying in mind, and mad. --- ### الآية 54:48 > يَوْمَ يُسْحَبُونَ فِي النَّارِ عَلَىٰ وُجُوهِهِمْ ذُوقُوا مَسَّ سَقَرَ [54:48] يَوۡمَ يُسۡحَبُونَ فِي ٱلنَّارِ عَلَىٰ وُجُوهِهِمۡ ذُوقُواْ مَسَّ سَقَرَ The Day they will be dragged through the Fire on their faces, (they will hear:) "Taste ye the touch of Hell!" --- ### الآية 54:49 > إِنَّا كُلَّ شَيْءٍ خَلَقْنَاهُ بِقَدَرٍ [54:49] إِنَّا كُلَّ شَيۡءٍ خَلَقۡنَٰهُ بِقَدَرٖ Verily, all things have We created in proportion and measure. --- ### الآية 54:50 > وَمَا أَمْرُنَا إِلَّا وَاحِدَةٌ كَلَمْحٍ بِالْبَصَرِ [54:50] وَمَآ أَمۡرُنَآ إِلَّا وَٰحِدَةٞ كَلَمۡحِۭ بِٱلۡبَصَرِ And Our Command is but a single (Act),- like the twinkling of an eye. --- ### الآية 54:51 > وَلَقَدْ أَهْلَكْنَا أَشْيَاعَكُمْ فَهَلْ مِنْ مُدَّكِرٍ [54:51] وَلَقَدۡ أَهۡلَكۡنَآ أَشۡيَاعَكُمۡ فَهَلۡ مِن مُّدَّكِرٖ And (oft) in the past, have We destroyed gangs like unto you: then is there any that will receive admonition? --- ### الآية 54:52 > وَكُلُّ شَيْءٍ فَعَلُوهُ فِي الزُّبُرِ [54:52] وَكُلُّ شَيۡءٖ فَعَلُوهُ فِي ٱلزُّبُرِ All that they do is noted in (their) Books (of Deeds): --- ### الآية 54:53 > وَكُلُّ صَغِيرٍ وَكَبِيرٍ مُسْتَطَرٌ [54:53] وَكُلُّ صَغِيرٖ وَكَبِيرٖ مُّسۡتَطَرٌ Every matter, small and great, is on record. --- ### الآية 54:54 > إِنَّ الْمُتَّقِينَ فِي جَنَّاتٍ وَنَهَرٍ [54:54] إِنَّ ٱلۡمُتَّقِينَ فِي جَنَّـٰتٖ وَنَهَرٖ As to the Righteous, they will be in the midst of Gardens and Rivers, --- ### الآية 54:55 > فِي مَقْعَدِ صِدْقٍ عِنْدَ مَلِيكٍ مُقْتَدِرٍ [54:55] فِي مَقۡعَدِ صِدۡقٍ عِندَ مَلِيكٖ مُّقۡتَدِرِۭ In an Assembly of Truth, in the Presence of a Sovereign Omnipotent. --- ## روابط ذات صلة - [النص القرآني للسورة](https://quranpedia.net/surah/1/54.md) - [كل تفاسير سورة القمر ](https://quranpedia.net/surah-tafsir/54.md) - [ترجمات سورة القمر ](https://quranpedia.net/translations/54.md) - [صفحة الكتاب: Yusuf Ali - English translation](https://quranpedia.net/book/13605.md) --- زُر [Quranpedia.net](https://quranpedia.net/surah/1/54/book/13605) — موسوعة القرآن الكريم: التفاسير، الترجمات، التلاوات، والمواضيع.
