### الآية 71:1

> إِنَّا أَرْسَلْنَا نُوحًا إِلَىٰ قَوْمِهِ أَنْ أَنْذِرْ قَوْمَكَ مِنْ قَبْلِ أَنْ يَأْتِيَهُمْ عَذَابٌ أَلِيمٌ [71:1]

Nooh

إِنَّآ أَرۡسَلۡنَا نُوحًا إِلَىٰ قَوۡمِهِۦٓ أَنۡ أَنذِرۡ قَوۡمَكَ مِن قَبۡلِ أَن يَأۡتِيَهُمۡ عَذَابٌ أَلِيمٞ


Surely We sent Nuh to his people (saying), "Warn your people even before there comes up to them a painful torment."

### الآية 71:2

> قَالَ يَا قَوْمِ إِنِّي لَكُمْ نَذِيرٌ مُبِينٌ [71:2]

قَالَ يَٰقَوۡمِ إِنِّي لَكُمۡ نَذِيرٞ مُّبِينٌ


He said, "O my people, surely I am to you an evident warner,

### الآية 71:3

> أَنِ اعْبُدُوا اللَّهَ وَاتَّقُوهُ وَأَطِيعُونِ [71:3]

أَنِ ٱعۡبُدُواْ ٱللَّهَ وَٱتَّقُوهُ وَأَطِيعُونِ


(Saying) Worship Allah, and be pious to Him, and obey me.

### الآية 71:4

> يَغْفِرْ لَكُمْ مِنْ ذُنُوبِكُمْ وَيُؤَخِّرْكُمْ إِلَىٰ أَجَلٍ مُسَمًّى ۚ إِنَّ أَجَلَ اللَّهِ إِذَا جَاءَ لَا يُؤَخَّرُ ۖ لَوْ كُنْتُمْ تَعْلَمُونَ [71:4]

يَغۡفِرۡ لَكُم مِّن ذُنُوبِكُمۡ وَيُؤَخِّرۡكُمۡ إِلَىٰٓ أَجَلٖ مُّسَمًّىۚ إِنَّ أَجَلَ ٱللَّهِ إِذَا جَآءَ لَا يُؤَخَّرُۚ لَوۡ كُنتُمۡ تَعۡلَمُونَ


He will forgive you (some) of your guilty deeds and defer you to a stated term; surely the term of Allah, when it comes, cannot be deferred, if you (only) know."

### الآية 71:5

> قَالَ رَبِّ إِنِّي دَعَوْتُ قَوْمِي لَيْلًا وَنَهَارًا [71:5]

قَالَ رَبِّ إِنِّي دَعَوۡتُ قَوۡمِي لَيۡلٗا وَنَهَارٗا


He said, "Lord! Surely I have called my people by night and by daytime,

### الآية 71:6

> فَلَمْ يَزِدْهُمْ دُعَائِي إِلَّا فِرَارًا [71:6]

فَلَمۡ يَزِدۡهُمۡ دُعَآءِيٓ إِلَّا فِرَارٗا


Yet my calling increased them (in nothing) except in flight.

### الآية 71:7

> وَإِنِّي كُلَّمَا دَعَوْتُهُمْ لِتَغْفِرَ لَهُمْ جَعَلُوا أَصَابِعَهُمْ فِي آذَانِهِمْ وَاسْتَغْشَوْا ثِيَابَهُمْ وَأَصَرُّوا وَاسْتَكْبَرُوا اسْتِكْبَارًا [71:7]

وَإِنِّي كُلَّمَا دَعَوۡتُهُمۡ لِتَغۡفِرَ لَهُمۡ جَعَلُوٓاْ أَصَٰبِعَهُمۡ فِيٓ ءَاذَانِهِمۡ وَٱسۡتَغۡشَوۡاْ ثِيَابَهُمۡ وَأَصَرُّواْ وَٱسۡتَكۡبَرُواْ ٱسۡتِكۡبَارٗا


And surely whenever I call them that You may forgive them, they set (Literally: made "up") their fingers in their ears, and enveloped themselves with their clothes, and persisted, and waxed proud (with insolent) arrogance (Literally: in "arrogant" pride).

### الآية 71:8

> ثُمَّ إِنِّي دَعَوْتُهُمْ جِهَارًا [71:8]

ثُمَّ إِنِّي دَعَوۡتُهُمۡ جِهَارٗا


Thereafter, surely I called them aloud,

---

### الآية 71:9

> ثُمَّ إِنِّي أَعْلَنْتُ لَهُمْ وَأَسْرَرْتُ لَهُمْ إِسْرَارًا [71:9]

ثُمَّ إِنِّيٓ أَعۡلَنتُ لَهُمۡ وَأَسۡرَرۡتُ لَهُمۡ إِسۡرَارٗا


Thereafter, surely I called them publicly, and I secretly (spoke) to them in private (Literally: in secret "conversation").

### الآية 71:10

> فَقُلْتُ اسْتَغْفِرُوا رَبَّكُمْ إِنَّهُ كَانَ غَفَّارًا [71:10]

فَقُلۡتُ ٱسۡتَغۡفِرُواْ رَبَّكُمۡ إِنَّهُۥ كَانَ غَفَّارٗا


So I have said, ‘Ask forgiveness of your Lord; surely He has been (The) Superb Forgiver;

### الآية 71:11

> يُرْسِلِ السَّمَاءَ عَلَيْكُمْ مِدْرَارًا [71:11]

يُرۡسِلِ ٱلسَّمَآءَ عَلَيۡكُم مِّدۡرَارٗا


He will send down on you (rain) from the heaven showering plentifully,

### الآية 71:12

> وَيُمْدِدْكُمْ بِأَمْوَالٍ وَبَنِينَ وَيَجْعَلْ لَكُمْ جَنَّاتٍ وَيَجْعَلْ لَكُمْ أَنْهَارًا [71:12]

وَيُمۡدِدۡكُم بِأَمۡوَٰلٖ وَبَنِينَ وَيَجۡعَل لَّكُمۡ جَنَّـٰتٖ وَيَجۡعَل لَّكُمۡ أَنۡهَٰرٗا


And He will supply you with riches and sons, (Or: seeds) and will set up (Literally: make) for you gardens, and will set up for you rivers.

### الآية 71:13

> مَا لَكُمْ لَا تَرْجُونَ لِلَّهِ وَقَارًا [71:13]

مَّا لَكُمۡ لَا تَرۡجُونَ لِلَّهِ وَقَارٗا


For what (reason) you do not hope to get reward from Allah for having reverence towards Him,

---

### الآية 71:14

> وَقَدْ خَلَقَكُمْ أَطْوَارًا [71:14]

وَقَدۡ خَلَقَكُمۡ أَطۡوَارًا


And He already created you by stages?

### الآية 71:15

> أَلَمْ تَرَوْا كَيْفَ خَلَقَ اللَّهُ سَبْعَ سَمَاوَاتٍ طِبَاقًا [71:15]

أَلَمۡ تَرَوۡاْ كَيۡفَ خَلَقَ ٱللَّهُ سَبۡعَ سَمَٰوَٰتٖ طِبَاقٗا


Have you not seen how Allah created seven heavens as strata, (i.e., in layers).

### الآية 71:16

> وَجَعَلَ الْقَمَرَ فِيهِنَّ نُورًا وَجَعَلَ الشَّمْسَ سِرَاجًا [71:16]

وَجَعَلَ ٱلۡقَمَرَ فِيهِنَّ نُورٗا وَجَعَلَ ٱلشَّمۡسَ سِرَاجٗا


And He has made the moon therein for a light, and He has made the sun for a luminary?

### الآية 71:17

> وَاللَّهُ أَنْبَتَكُمْ مِنَ الْأَرْضِ نَبَاتًا [71:17]

وَٱللَّهُ أَنۢبَتَكُم مِّنَ ٱلۡأَرۡضِ نَبَاتٗا


And Allah has caused you to grow as a growth from the earth.

### الآية 71:18

> ثُمَّ يُعِيدُكُمْ فِيهَا وَيُخْرِجُكُمْ إِخْرَاجًا [71:18]

ثُمَّ يُعِيدُكُمۡ فِيهَا وَيُخۡرِجُكُمۡ إِخۡرَاجٗا


Thereafter He will bring you back into it, and He will bring you out (again) a (new) forthcoming (Literally: a bringing out).

### الآية 71:19

> وَاللَّهُ جَعَلَ لَكُمُ الْأَرْضَ بِسَاطًا [71:19]

وَٱللَّهُ جَعَلَ لَكُمُ ٱلۡأَرۡضَ بِسَاطٗا


And Allah has the earth for you as an outspread (rug),

### الآية 71:20

> لِتَسْلُكُوا مِنْهَا سُبُلًا فِجَاجًا [71:20]

لِّتَسۡلُكُواْ مِنۡهَا سُبُلٗا فِجَاجٗا


That you may travel along thereof (spacious) ways, ravines. "'

### الآية 71:21

> قَالَ نُوحٌ رَبِّ إِنَّهُمْ عَصَوْنِي وَاتَّبَعُوا مَنْ لَمْ يَزِدْهُ مَالُهُ وَوَلَدُهُ إِلَّا خَسَارًا [71:21]

قَالَ نُوحٞ رَّبِّ إِنَّهُمۡ عَصَوۡنِي وَٱتَّبَعُواْ مَن لَّمۡ يَزِدۡهُ مَالُهُۥ وَوَلَدُهُۥٓ إِلَّا خَسَارٗا


Nuh said, "Lord! Surely they have disobeyed me, and closely followed him whose wealth and children have not increased them in anything except (greater) loss,

### الآية 71:22

> وَمَكَرُوا مَكْرًا كُبَّارًا [71:22]

وَمَكَرُواْ مَكۡرٗا كُبَّارٗا


And they have schemed a heinous scheming;

### الآية 71:23

> وَقَالُوا لَا تَذَرُنَّ آلِهَتَكُمْ وَلَا تَذَرُنَّ وَدًّا وَلَا سُوَاعًا وَلَا يَغُوثَ وَيَعُوقَ وَنَسْرًا [71:23]

وَقَالُواْ لَا تَذَرُنَّ ءَالِهَتَكُمۡ وَلَا تَذَرُنَّ وَدّٗا وَلَا سُوَاعٗا وَلَا يَغُوثَ وَيَعُوقَ وَنَسۡرٗا


And they have said, ‘Definitely do not leave (behind) your gods, and do not definitely leave behind Wadd, nor Suwac, nor Yaghûth, and Yacûq, and Nasr (These are names of pagan gods.

### الآية 71:24

> وَقَدْ أَضَلُّوا كَثِيرًا ۖ وَلَا تَزِدِ الظَّالِمِينَ إِلَّا ضَلَالًا [71:24]

وَقَدۡ أَضَلُّواْ كَثِيرٗاۖ وَلَا تَزِدِ ٱلظَّـٰلِمِينَ إِلَّا ضَلَٰلٗا


And they have already led many into error. And increase You Allah), the unjust ones in nothing except error!"

### الآية 71:25

> مِمَّا خَطِيئَاتِهِمْ أُغْرِقُوا فَأُدْخِلُوا نَارًا فَلَمْ يَجِدُوا لَهُمْ مِنْ دُونِ اللَّهِ أَنْصَارًا [71:25]

مِّمَّا خَطِيٓـَٰٔتِهِمۡ أُغۡرِقُواْ فَأُدۡخِلُواْ نَارٗا فَلَمۡ يَجِدُواْ لَهُم مِّن دُونِ ٱللَّهِ أَنصَارٗا


For whatever offenses (they committed), they were drowned, and then were made to enter a Fire; so they did not find, apart from Allah, any ready vindicators.

### الآية 71:26

> وَقَالَ نُوحٌ رَبِّ لَا تَذَرْ عَلَى الْأَرْضِ مِنَ الْكَافِرِينَ دَيَّارًا [71:26]

وَقَالَ نُوحٞ رَّبِّ لَا تَذَرۡ عَلَى ٱلۡأَرۡضِ مِنَ ٱلۡكَٰفِرِينَ دَيَّارًا


And Nuh said, "Lord! Do not leave (out) upon the earth of the disbelievers any residence-dweller!

### الآية 71:27

> إِنَّكَ إِنْ تَذَرْهُمْ يُضِلُّوا عِبَادَكَ وَلَا يَلِدُوا إِلَّا فَاجِرًا كَفَّارًا [71:27]

إِنَّكَ إِن تَذَرۡهُمۡ يُضِلُّواْ عِبَادَكَ وَلَا يَلِدُوٓاْ إِلَّا فَاجِرٗا كَفَّارٗا


Surely in case You leave them behind, they will lead Your bondmen into error, and will beget none except the most- disbelieving impious.

### الآية 71:28

> رَبِّ اغْفِرْ لِي وَلِوَالِدَيَّ وَلِمَنْ دَخَلَ بَيْتِيَ مُؤْمِنًا وَلِلْمُؤْمِنِينَ وَالْمُؤْمِنَاتِ وَلَا تَزِدِ الظَّالِمِينَ إِلَّا تَبَارًا [71:28]

رَّبِّ ٱغۡفِرۡ لِي وَلِوَٰلِدَيَّ وَلِمَن دَخَلَ بَيۡتِيَ مُؤۡمِنٗا وَلِلۡمُؤۡمِنِينَ وَٱلۡمُؤۡمِنَٰتِۖ وَلَا تَزِدِ ٱلظَّـٰلِمِينَ إِلَّا تَبَارَۢا


Lord, Forgive me and my parents and whoever enters my home as believer, and male believers and female believers; and do not increase the unjust ones except in annihilation!"
