### الآية 75:1

> لَا أُقْسِمُ بِيَوْمِ الْقِيَامَةِ [75:1]

Al-Qiyamah 
-----------

---

لَآ أُقۡسِمُ بِيَوۡمِ ٱلۡقِيَٰمَةِ


I swear by the Day of Resurrection;

---

### الآية 75:2

> وَلَا أُقْسِمُ بِالنَّفْسِ اللَّوَّامَةِ [75:2]

وَلَآ أُقۡسِمُ بِٱلنَّفۡسِ ٱللَّوَّامَةِ


And I swear by the self-reproaching person (a believer).

### الآية 75:3

> أَيَحْسَبُ الْإِنْسَانُ أَلَّنْ نَجْمَعَ عِظَامَهُ [75:3]

أَيَحۡسَبُ ٱلۡإِنسَٰنُ أَلَّن نَّجۡمَعَ عِظَامَهُۥ


Does man (a disbeliever) think that We shall not assemble his bones?

---

### الآية 75:4

> بَلَىٰ قَادِرِينَ عَلَىٰ أَنْ نُسَوِّيَ بَنَانَهُ [75:4]

بَلَىٰ قَٰدِرِينَ عَلَىٰٓ أَن نُّسَوِّيَ بَنَانَهُۥ


Yes, We are Able to put together in perfect order the tips of his fingers.

### الآية 75:5

> بَلْ يُرِيدُ الْإِنْسَانُ لِيَفْجُرَ أَمَامَهُ [75:5]

بَلۡ يُرِيدُ ٱلۡإِنسَٰنُ لِيَفۡجُرَ أَمَامَهُۥ


Nay! (Man denies Resurrection and Reckoning. So) he desires to continue committing sins.

### الآية 75:6

> يَسْأَلُ أَيَّانَ يَوْمُ الْقِيَامَةِ [75:6]

يَسۡـَٔلُ أَيَّانَ يَوۡمُ ٱلۡقِيَٰمَةِ


He asks: "When will be this Day of Resurrection?"

---

### الآية 75:7

> فَإِذَا بَرِقَ الْبَصَرُ [75:7]

فَإِذَا بَرِقَ ٱلۡبَصَرُ


So, when the sight shall be dazed,

---

### الآية 75:8

> وَخَسَفَ الْقَمَرُ [75:8]

وَخَسَفَ ٱلۡقَمَرُ


And the moon will be eclipsed,

### الآية 75:9

> وَجُمِعَ الشَّمْسُ وَالْقَمَرُ [75:9]

وَجُمِعَ ٱلشَّمۡسُ وَٱلۡقَمَرُ


And the sun and moon will be joined together (by going one into the other or folded up or deprived of their light, etc.)

### الآية 75:10

> يَقُولُ الْإِنْسَانُ يَوْمَئِذٍ أَيْنَ الْمَفَرُّ [75:10]

يَقُولُ ٱلۡإِنسَٰنُ يَوۡمَئِذٍ أَيۡنَ ٱلۡمَفَرُّ


On that Day man will say: "Where (is the refuge) to flee?"

---

### الآية 75:11

> كَلَّا لَا وَزَرَ [75:11]

كَلَّا لَا وَزَرَ


No! There is no refuge!

---

### الآية 75:12

> إِلَىٰ رَبِّكَ يَوْمَئِذٍ الْمُسْتَقَرُّ [75:12]

إِلَىٰ رَبِّكَ يَوۡمَئِذٍ ٱلۡمُسۡتَقَرُّ


Unto your Lord (Alone) will be the place of rest that Day.

### الآية 75:13

> يُنَبَّأُ الْإِنْسَانُ يَوْمَئِذٍ بِمَا قَدَّمَ وَأَخَّرَ [75:13]

يُنَبَّؤُاْ ٱلۡإِنسَٰنُ يَوۡمَئِذِۭ بِمَا قَدَّمَ وَأَخَّرَ


On that Day man will be informed of what he sent forward (of his evil or good deeds), and what he left behind (of his good or evil traditions).

### الآية 75:14

> بَلِ الْإِنْسَانُ عَلَىٰ نَفْسِهِ بَصِيرَةٌ [75:14]

بَلِ ٱلۡإِنسَٰنُ عَلَىٰ نَفۡسِهِۦ بَصِيرَةٞ


Nay! Man will be a witness against himself [as his body parts (skin, hands, legs, etc.) will speak about his deeds].

---

### الآية 75:15

> وَلَوْ أَلْقَىٰ مَعَاذِيرَهُ [75:15]

وَلَوۡ أَلۡقَىٰ مَعَاذِيرَهُۥ


Though he may put forth his excuses (to cover his evil deeds).

---

### الآية 75:16

> لَا تُحَرِّكْ بِهِ لِسَانَكَ لِتَعْجَلَ بِهِ [75:16]

لَا تُحَرِّكۡ بِهِۦ لِسَانَكَ لِتَعۡجَلَ بِهِۦٓ


Move not your tongue concerning (the Quran, O Muhammad SAW) to make haste therewith.

### الآية 75:17

> إِنَّ عَلَيْنَا جَمْعَهُ وَقُرْآنَهُ [75:17]

إِنَّ عَلَيۡنَا جَمۡعَهُۥ وَقُرۡءَانَهُۥ


It is for Us to collect it and to give you (O Muhammad SAW) the ability to recite it (the Quran),

### الآية 75:18

> فَإِذَا قَرَأْنَاهُ فَاتَّبِعْ قُرْآنَهُ [75:18]

فَإِذَا قَرَأۡنَٰهُ فَٱتَّبِعۡ قُرۡءَانَهُۥ


And when We have recited it to you [O Muhammad SAW through Jibrael (Gabriel)], then follow you its (the Quran's) recital.

### الآية 75:19

> ثُمَّ إِنَّ عَلَيْنَا بَيَانَهُ [75:19]

ثُمَّ إِنَّ عَلَيۡنَا بَيَانَهُۥ


Then it is for Us (Allah) to make it clear to you,

---

### الآية 75:20

> كَلَّا بَلْ تُحِبُّونَ الْعَاجِلَةَ [75:20]

كَلَّا بَلۡ تُحِبُّونَ ٱلۡعَاجِلَةَ


Not [as you think, that you (mankind) will not be resurrected and recompensed for your deeds], but (you men) love the present life of this world,

### الآية 75:21

> وَتَذَرُونَ الْآخِرَةَ [75:21]

وَتَذَرُونَ ٱلۡأٓخِرَةَ


And leave (neglect) the Hereafter.

---

### الآية 75:22

> وُجُوهٌ يَوْمَئِذٍ نَاضِرَةٌ [75:22]

وُجُوهٞ يَوۡمَئِذٖ نَّاضِرَةٌ


Some faces that Day shall be Nadirah (shining and radiant).

---

### الآية 75:23

> إِلَىٰ رَبِّهَا نَاظِرَةٌ [75:23]

إِلَىٰ رَبِّهَا نَاظِرَةٞ


Looking at their Lord (Allah);

---

### الآية 75:24

> وَوُجُوهٌ يَوْمَئِذٍ بَاسِرَةٌ [75:24]

وَوُجُوهٞ يَوۡمَئِذِۭ بَاسِرَةٞ


And some faces, that Day, will be Basirah (dark, gloomy, frowning, and sad),

### الآية 75:25

> تَظُنُّ أَنْ يُفْعَلَ بِهَا فَاقِرَةٌ [75:25]

تَظُنُّ أَن يُفۡعَلَ بِهَا فَاقِرَةٞ


Thinking that some calamity was about to fall on them;

---

### الآية 75:26

> كَلَّا إِذَا بَلَغَتِ التَّرَاقِيَ [75:26]

كَلَّآ إِذَا بَلَغَتِ ٱلتَّرَاقِيَ


Nay, when (the soul) reaches to the collar bone (i.e. up to the throat in its exit),

### الآية 75:27

> وَقِيلَ مَنْ ۜ رَاقٍ [75:27]

وَقِيلَ مَنۡۜ رَاقٖ


And it will be said: "Who can cure him and save him from death?"

---

### الآية 75:28

> وَظَنَّ أَنَّهُ الْفِرَاقُ [75:28]

وَظَنَّ أَنَّهُ ٱلۡفِرَاقُ


And he (the dying person) will conclude that it was (the time) of departing (death);

---

### الآية 75:29

> وَالْتَفَّتِ السَّاقُ بِالسَّاقِ [75:29]

وَٱلۡتَفَّتِ ٱلسَّاقُ بِٱلسَّاقِ


And leg will be joined with another leg (shrouded)

---

### الآية 75:30

> إِلَىٰ رَبِّكَ يَوْمَئِذٍ الْمَسَاقُ [75:30]

إِلَىٰ رَبِّكَ يَوۡمَئِذٍ ٱلۡمَسَاقُ


The drive will be, on that Day, to your Lord (Allah)!

### الآية 75:31

> فَلَا صَدَّقَ وَلَا صَلَّىٰ [75:31]

فَلَا صَدَّقَ وَلَا صَلَّىٰ


So he (the disbeliever) neither believed (in this Quran, in the Message of Muhammad SAW) nor prayed!

---

### الآية 75:32

> وَلَٰكِنْ كَذَّبَ وَتَوَلَّىٰ [75:32]

وَلَٰكِن كَذَّبَ وَتَوَلَّىٰ


But on the contrary, he belied (this Quran and the Message of Muhammad SAW) and turned away!

---

### الآية 75:33

> ثُمَّ ذَهَبَ إِلَىٰ أَهْلِهِ يَتَمَطَّىٰ [75:33]

ثُمَّ ذَهَبَ إِلَىٰٓ أَهۡلِهِۦ يَتَمَطَّىٰٓ


Then he walked in full pride to his family admiring himself!

### الآية 75:34

> أَوْلَىٰ لَكَ فَأَوْلَىٰ [75:34]

أَوۡلَىٰ لَكَ فَأَوۡلَىٰ


Woe to you [O man (disbeliever)]! And then (again) woe to you!

---

### الآية 75:35

> ثُمَّ أَوْلَىٰ لَكَ فَأَوْلَىٰ [75:35]

ثُمَّ أَوۡلَىٰ لَكَ فَأَوۡلَىٰٓ


Again, woe to you [O man (disbeliever)]! And then (again) woe to you!

---

### الآية 75:36

> أَيَحْسَبُ الْإِنْسَانُ أَنْ يُتْرَكَ سُدًى [75:36]

أَيَحۡسَبُ ٱلۡإِنسَٰنُ أَن يُتۡرَكَ سُدًى


Does man think that he will be left Suda [neglected without being punished or rewarded for the obligatory duties enjoined by his Lord (Allah) on him]?

### الآية 75:37

> أَلَمْ يَكُ نُطْفَةً مِنْ مَنِيٍّ يُمْنَىٰ [75:37]

أَلَمۡ يَكُ نُطۡفَةٗ مِّن مَّنِيّٖ يُمۡنَىٰ


Was he not a Nutfah (mixed male and female discharge of semen) poured forth?

---

### الآية 75:38

> ثُمَّ كَانَ عَلَقَةً فَخَلَقَ فَسَوَّىٰ [75:38]

ثُمَّ كَانَ عَلَقَةٗ فَخَلَقَ فَسَوَّىٰ


Then he became an 'Alaqa (a clot); then (Allah) shaped and fashioned (him) in due proportion.

### الآية 75:39

> فَجَعَلَ مِنْهُ الزَّوْجَيْنِ الذَّكَرَ وَالْأُنْثَىٰ [75:39]

فَجَعَلَ مِنۡهُ ٱلزَّوۡجَيۡنِ ٱلذَّكَرَ وَٱلۡأُنثَىٰٓ


And made him in two sexes, male and female.

### الآية 75:40

> أَلَيْسَ ذَٰلِكَ بِقَادِرٍ عَلَىٰ أَنْ يُحْيِيَ الْمَوْتَىٰ [75:40]

أَلَيۡسَ ذَٰلِكَ بِقَٰدِرٍ عَلَىٰٓ أَن يُحۡـِۧيَ ٱلۡمَوۡتَىٰ


Is not He (Allah Who does that), Able to give life to the dead? (Yes! He is Able to do all things).
