### الآية 82:1

> إِذَا السَّمَاءُ انْفَطَرَتْ [82:1]

(1) When the sky breaks apart

### الآية 82:2

> وَإِذَا الْكَوَاكِبُ انْتَثَرَتْ [82:2]

(2) And when the stars fall, scattering,

### الآية 82:3

> وَإِذَا الْبِحَارُ فُجِّرَتْ [82:3]

(3) And when the seas are erupted

### الآية 82:4

> وَإِذَا الْقُبُورُ بُعْثِرَتْ [82:4]

(4) And when the \[contents of\] graves are scattered \[i.e., exposed\],

### الآية 82:5

> عَلِمَتْ نَفْسٌ مَا قَدَّمَتْ وَأَخَّرَتْ [82:5]

(5) A soul will \[then\] know what it has put forth and kept back.

### الآية 82:6

> يَا أَيُّهَا الْإِنْسَانُ مَا غَرَّكَ بِرَبِّكَ الْكَرِيمِ [82:6]

(6) O mankind, what has deceived you concerning your Lord, the Generous,

### الآية 82:7

> الَّذِي خَلَقَكَ فَسَوَّاكَ فَعَدَلَكَ [82:7]

(7) Who created you, proportioned you, and balanced you?

### الآية 82:8

> فِي أَيِّ صُورَةٍ مَا شَاءَ رَكَّبَكَ [82:8]

(8) In whatever form He willed has He assembled you.

### الآية 82:9

> كَلَّا بَلْ تُكَذِّبُونَ بِالدِّينِ [82:9]

(9) No! But you deny the Recompense.

### الآية 82:10

> وَإِنَّ عَلَيْكُمْ لَحَافِظِينَ [82:10]

(10) And indeed, \[appointed\] over you are keepers,\[1876\] 
\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_
\[1876\]- Angels who preserve the deeds of men in records.

### الآية 82:11

> كِرَامًا كَاتِبِينَ [82:11]

(11) Noble and recording;

### الآية 82:12

> يَعْلَمُونَ مَا تَفْعَلُونَ [82:12]

(12) They know whatever you do.

### الآية 82:13

> إِنَّ الْأَبْرَارَ لَفِي نَعِيمٍ [82:13]

(13) Indeed, the righteous will be in pleasure,

### الآية 82:14

> وَإِنَّ الْفُجَّارَ لَفِي جَحِيمٍ [82:14]

(14) And indeed, the wicked will be in Hellfire.

### الآية 82:15

> يَصْلَوْنَهَا يَوْمَ الدِّينِ [82:15]

(15) They will \[enter to\] burn therein on the Day of Recompense,

### الآية 82:16

> وَمَا هُمْ عَنْهَا بِغَائِبِينَ [82:16]

(16) And never therefrom will they be absent.

### الآية 82:17

> وَمَا أَدْرَاكَ مَا يَوْمُ الدِّينِ [82:17]

(17) And what can make you know what is the Day of Recompense?

### الآية 82:18

> ثُمَّ مَا أَدْرَاكَ مَا يَوْمُ الدِّينِ [82:18]

(18) Then, what can make you know what is the Day of Recompense?

### الآية 82:19

> يَوْمَ لَا تَمْلِكُ نَفْسٌ لِنَفْسٍ شَيْئًا ۖ وَالْأَمْرُ يَوْمَئِذٍ لِلَّهِ [82:19]

(19) It is the Day when a soul will not possess for another soul \[power to do\] a thing; and the command, that Day, is \[entirely\] with Allāh.
