### الآية 82:1

> إِذَا السَّمَاءُ انْفَطَرَتْ [82:1]

1\. When the sky will split apart because of the angels descending from it.

### الآية 82:2

> وَإِذَا الْكَوَاكِبُ انْتَثَرَتْ [82:2]

2\. When the stars fall one after the other and are scattered.

### الآية 82:3

> وَإِذَا الْبِحَارُ فُجِّرَتْ [82:3]

3\. When the seas are opened into one another and they merge.

### الآية 82:4

> وَإِذَا الْقُبُورُ بُعْثِرَتْ [82:4]

4\. When the soil of graves is turned over to resurrect the dead in them.

### الآية 82:5

> عَلِمَتْ نَفْسٌ مَا قَدَّمَتْ وَأَخَّرَتْ [82:5]

5\. At that time, every soul will know the actions it sent forward and those it left behind and did not do.

### الآية 82:6

> يَا أَيُّهَا الْإِنْسَانُ مَا غَرَّكَ بِرَبِّكَ الْكَرِيمِ [82:6]

6\. O man who has rejected his Lord! What has made you go against the instruction of your Lord when He gave you respite and did not punish you quickly, as a favour from Him?!

### الآية 82:7

> الَّذِي خَلَقَكَ فَسَوَّاكَ فَعَدَلَكَ [82:7]

7\. The One Who gave you existence after you were non-existent, and Who proportioned and balanced your limbs.

### الآية 82:8

> فِي أَيِّ صُورَةٍ مَا شَاءَ رَكَّبَكَ [82:8]

8\. In whatever form He wished to create you, He created you. He favoured you as He did not create you in the form of a donkey, monkey, dog or other form.

### الآية 82:9

> كَلَّا بَلْ تُكَذِّبُونَ بِالدِّينِ [82:9]

9\. O you who are deceived, the matter is not as you thought! In fact, you deny the day of recompense and do not work for it.

### الآية 82:10

> وَإِنَّ عَلَيْكُمْ لَحَافِظِينَ [82:10]

10\. Over you are angels who record your deeds.

### الآية 82:11

> كِرَامًا كَاتِبِينَ [82:11]

11\. Noble in Allah’s sight, scribes who write down your deeds.

### الآية 82:12

> يَعْلَمُونَ مَا تَفْعَلُونَ [82:12]

12\. They know of every action you do and they write it down.

### الآية 82:13

> إِنَّ الْأَبْرَارَ لَفِي نَعِيمٍ [82:13]

13\. Those who do abundant acts of good and obedience will be in everlasting bliss on the day of judgment.

### الآية 82:14

> وَإِنَّ الْفُجَّارَ لَفِي جَحِيمٍ [82:14]

14\. Those who committed iniquity will be in a fire that will be burned over them.

### الآية 82:15

> يَصْلَوْنَهَا يَوْمَ الدِّينِ [82:15]

15\. They will enter it on the day of recompense and suffer from its heat.

### الآية 82:16

> وَمَا هُمْ عَنْهَا بِغَائِبِينَ [82:16]

16\. They will never be absent from it. Instead they will remain in it forever.

### الآية 82:17

> وَمَا أَدْرَاكَ مَا يَوْمُ الدِّينِ [82:17]

17\. O Messenger! What will tell you what the day of justice is?

### الآية 82:18

> ثُمَّ مَا أَدْرَاكَ مَا يَوْمُ الدِّينِ [82:18]

18\. Again, what will tell you what the day of justice is?

### الآية 82:19

> يَوْمَ لَا تَمْلِكُ نَفْسٌ لِنَفْسٍ شَيْئًا ۖ وَالْأَمْرُ يَوْمَئِذٍ لِلَّهِ [82:19]

19\. A day when no one will be able to benefit anyone. The entire matter on that day will belong to Allah alone, to deal as He wishes, and not to anyone besides Him.
