### الآية 84:1

> إِذَا السَّمَاءُ انْشَقَّتْ [84:1]

1\. When the sky ruptures because of the angels descending from it.

### الآية 84:2

> وَأَذِنَتْ لِرَبِّهَا وَحُقَّتْ [84:2]

5\. And listens submissively to its Lord, as it rightly should.

### الآية 84:3

> وَإِذَا الْأَرْضُ مُدَّتْ [84:3]

3\. When the earth is stretched by Allah as leather is stretched.

### الآية 84:4

> وَأَلْقَتْ مَا فِيهَا وَتَخَلَّتْ [84:4]

4\. And throws out the treasures and the dead in it and becomes rid of them.

### الآية 84:5

> وَأَذِنَتْ لِرَبِّهَا وَحُقَّتْ [84:5]

5\. And listens submissively to its Lord, as it rightly should.

### الآية 84:6

> يَا أَيُّهَا الْإِنْسَانُ إِنَّكَ كَادِحٌ إِلَىٰ رَبِّكَ كَدْحًا فَمُلَاقِيهِ [84:6]

6\. O man, you are either doing good or evil and you will meet it on the Day of Judgment, so that Allah can give you the recompense for that.

### الآية 84:7

> فَأَمَّا مَنْ أُوتِيَ كِتَابَهُ بِيَمِينِهِ [84:7]

7\. Since Allah mentioned man’s action in brief, he details the condition of those who did action on the day of judgment by saying: As for him who is given his book of deeds in his right hand.

### الآية 84:8

> فَسَوْفَ يُحَاسَبُ حِسَابًا يَسِيرًا [84:8]

8\. He will have an easy reckoning by Allah and his actions will be presented to Him without his being taken to task.

### الآية 84:9

> وَيَنْقَلِبُ إِلَىٰ أَهْلِهِ مَسْرُورًا [84:9]

9\. And he will return to his family delighted.

### الآية 84:10

> وَأَمَّا مَنْ أُوتِيَ كِتَابَهُ وَرَاءَ ظَهْرِهِ [84:10]

10\. As for him who is given his book in his left hand behind his back.

### الآية 84:11

> فَسَوْفَ يَدْعُو ثُبُورًا [84:11]

11\. He will call out for destruction to himself.

### الآية 84:12

> وَيَصْلَىٰ سَعِيرًا [84:12]

12\. And he will enter the fire of Hell to suffer from its heat.

### الآية 84:13

> إِنَّهُ كَانَ فِي أَهْلِهِ مَسْرُورًا [84:13]

13\. In the world he was amongst his family rejoicing with his acts of disbelief and sins.

### الآية 84:14

> إِنَّهُ ظَنَّ أَنْ لَنْ يَحُورَ [84:14]

14\. He thought that he will not come back to life after death.

### الآية 84:15

> بَلَىٰ إِنَّ رَبَّهُ كَانَ بِهِ بَصِيرًا [84:15]

15\. Indeed, Allah will bring him back to life just as He created him the first time. His Lord was watchful of his condition. Nothing of that was hidden from Him and He will give him the recompense for his actions.

### الآية 84:16

> فَلَا أُقْسِمُ بِالشَّفَقِ [84:16]

16\. Allah took an oath by the redness that is in the horizon after the sun sets.

### الآية 84:17

> وَاللَّيْلِ وَمَا وَسَقَ [84:17]

17\. And He took an oath by the night and what is gathered therein.

### الآية 84:18

> وَالْقَمَرِ إِذَا اتَّسَقَ [84:18]

18\. And the moon when it comes together and is complete becoming a full moon.

### الآية 84:19

> لَتَرْكَبُنَّ طَبَقًا عَنْ طَبَقٍ [84:19]

19\. You, O man, will mount one state after another from a drop, then a clot, then a piece of flesh, then life, then death and then resurrection.

### الآية 84:20

> فَمَا لَهُمْ لَا يُؤْمِنُونَ [84:20]

20\. What is the matter with these disbelievers who do not have faith in Allah and the last day?!

### الآية 84:21

> وَإِذَا قُرِئَ عَلَيْهِمُ الْقُرْآنُ لَا يَسْجُدُونَ ۩ [84:21]

21\. When the Qur’ān is recited to them, they do not prostrate to their Lord?!

### الآية 84:22

> بَلِ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا يُكَذِّبُونَ [84:22]

22\. In fact, those who disbelieve reject what their messengers brought to them.

### الآية 84:23

> وَاللَّهُ أَعْلَمُ بِمَا يُوعُونَ [84:23]

23\. Allah knows well what is contained in their hearts. Nothing of their actions is hidden from Him.

### الآية 84:24

> فَبَشِّرْهُمْ بِعَذَابٍ أَلِيمٍ [84:24]

34\. Tell them, O Messenger, about a painful punishment that awaits them.

### الآية 84:25

> إِلَّا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا وَعَمِلُوا الصَّالِحَاتِ لَهُمْ أَجْرٌ غَيْرُ مَمْنُونٍ [84:25]

35\. Except those who have faith in Allah and do good deeds, for them is a reward that will never terminate: Paradise.
