### الآية 87:1

> سَبِّحِ اسْمَ رَبِّكَ الْأَعْلَى [87:1]

Al-A'la 
--------

---

سَبِّحِ ٱسۡمَ رَبِّكَ ٱلۡأَعۡلَى


Glorify the Name of your Lord, the Most High,

---

### الآية 87:2

> الَّذِي خَلَقَ فَسَوَّىٰ [87:2]

ٱلَّذِي خَلَقَ فَسَوَّىٰ


Who has created (everything), and then proportioned it;

---

### الآية 87:3

> وَالَّذِي قَدَّرَ فَهَدَىٰ [87:3]

وَٱلَّذِي قَدَّرَ فَهَدَىٰ


And Who has measured (preordainments for each and everything even to be blessed or wretched); then guided (i.e. showed mankind the right as well as wrong paths, and guided the animals to pasture);

### الآية 87:4

> وَالَّذِي أَخْرَجَ الْمَرْعَىٰ [87:4]

وَٱلَّذِيٓ أَخۡرَجَ ٱلۡمَرۡعَىٰ


And Who brings out the pasturage,

---

### الآية 87:5

> فَجَعَلَهُ غُثَاءً أَحْوَىٰ [87:5]

فَجَعَلَهُۥ غُثَآءً أَحۡوَىٰ


And then makes it dark stubble.

---

### الآية 87:6

> سَنُقْرِئُكَ فَلَا تَنْسَىٰ [87:6]

سَنُقۡرِئُكَ فَلَا تَنسَىٰٓ


We shall make you to recite (the Quran), so you (O Muhammad (Peace be upon him)) shall not forget (it),

---

### الآية 87:7

> إِلَّا مَا شَاءَ اللَّهُ ۚ إِنَّهُ يَعْلَمُ الْجَهْرَ وَمَا يَخْفَىٰ [87:7]

إِلَّا مَا شَآءَ ٱللَّهُۚ إِنَّهُۥ يَعۡلَمُ ٱلۡجَهۡرَ وَمَا يَخۡفَىٰ


Except what Allah, may will, He knows what is apparent and what is hidden.

### الآية 87:8

> وَنُيَسِّرُكَ لِلْيُسْرَىٰ [87:8]

وَنُيَسِّرُكَ لِلۡيُسۡرَىٰ


And We shall make easy for you (O Muhammad (Peace be upon him)) the easy way (i.e. the doing of righteous deeds).

### الآية 87:9

> فَذَكِّرْ إِنْ نَفَعَتِ الذِّكْرَىٰ [87:9]

فَذَكِّرۡ إِن نَّفَعَتِ ٱلذِّكۡرَىٰ


Therefore remind (men) in case the reminder profits (them).

---

### الآية 87:10

> سَيَذَّكَّرُ مَنْ يَخْشَىٰ [87:10]

سَيَذَّكَّرُ مَن يَخۡشَىٰ


The reminder will be received by him who fears (Allah),

---

### الآية 87:11

> وَيَتَجَنَّبُهَا الْأَشْقَى [87:11]

وَيَتَجَنَّبُهَا ٱلۡأَشۡقَى


But it will be avoided by the wretched,

---

### الآية 87:12

> الَّذِي يَصْلَى النَّارَ الْكُبْرَىٰ [87:12]

ٱلَّذِي يَصۡلَى ٱلنَّارَ ٱلۡكُبۡرَىٰ


Who will enter the great Fire and made to taste its burning,

---

### الآية 87:13

> ثُمَّ لَا يَمُوتُ فِيهَا وَلَا يَحْيَىٰ [87:13]

ثُمَّ لَا يَمُوتُ فِيهَا وَلَا يَحۡيَىٰ


Wherein he will neither die (to be in rest) nor live (a good living).

### الآية 87:14

> قَدْ أَفْلَحَ مَنْ تَزَكَّىٰ [87:14]

قَدۡ أَفۡلَحَ مَن تَزَكَّىٰ


Indeed whosoever purifies himself (by avoiding polytheism and accepting Islamic Monotheism) shall achieve success,

### الآية 87:15

> وَذَكَرَ اسْمَ رَبِّهِ فَصَلَّىٰ [87:15]

وَذَكَرَ ٱسۡمَ رَبِّهِۦ فَصَلَّىٰ


And remembers (glorifies) the Name of his Lord (worships none but Allah), and prays (five compulsory prayers and Nawafil additional prayers).

### الآية 87:16

> بَلْ تُؤْثِرُونَ الْحَيَاةَ الدُّنْيَا [87:16]

بَلۡ تُؤۡثِرُونَ ٱلۡحَيَوٰةَ ٱلدُّنۡيَا


Nay, you prefer the life of this world;

---

### الآية 87:17

> وَالْآخِرَةُ خَيْرٌ وَأَبْقَىٰ [87:17]

وَٱلۡأٓخِرَةُ خَيۡرٞ وَأَبۡقَىٰٓ


Although the Hereafter is better and more lasting.

---

### الآية 87:18

> إِنَّ هَٰذَا لَفِي الصُّحُفِ الْأُولَىٰ [87:18]

إِنَّ هَٰذَا لَفِي ٱلصُّحُفِ ٱلۡأُولَىٰ


Verily! This is in the former Scriptures,

---

### الآية 87:19

> صُحُفِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ وَمُوسَىٰ [87:19]

صُحُفِ إِبۡرَٰهِيمَ وَمُوسَىٰ


The Scriptures of Ibrahim (Abraham) and Musa (Moses).
