### الآية 94:1

> أَلَمْ نَشْرَحْ لَكَ صَدْرَكَ [94:1]

(1) Did We not expand for you, \[O Muḥammad\], your breast?\[1944\] 
\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_
\[1944\]- i.e., enlighten, assure and gladden your heart with guidance.

### الآية 94:2

> وَوَضَعْنَا عَنْكَ وِزْرَكَ [94:2]

(2) And We removed from you your burden\[1945\] 
\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_
\[1945\]- By forgiving any errors which you may have committed previously or might commit consequently. "Burden" can also refer to the anxiety experienced by the Prophet (ﷺ) at the beginning of his mission.

### الآية 94:3

> الَّذِي أَنْقَضَ ظَهْرَكَ [94:3]

(3) Which had weighed upon your back

### الآية 94:4

> وَرَفَعْنَا لَكَ ذِكْرَكَ [94:4]

(4) And raised high for you your repute.

### الآية 94:5

> فَإِنَّ مَعَ الْعُسْرِ يُسْرًا [94:5]

(5) For indeed, with hardship \[will be\] ease \[i.e., relief\].

### الآية 94:6

> إِنَّ مَعَ الْعُسْرِ يُسْرًا [94:6]

(6) Indeed, with hardship \[will be\] ease.

### الآية 94:7

> فَإِذَا فَرَغْتَ فَانْصَبْ [94:7]

(7) So when you have finished \[your duties\], then stand up \[for worship\].

### الآية 94:8

> وَإِلَىٰ رَبِّكَ فَارْغَبْ [94:8]

(8) And to your Lord direct \[your\] longing.
