### الآية 97:1

> إِنَّا أَنْزَلْنَاهُ فِي لَيْلَةِ الْقَدْرِ [97:1]

1. Verily, We have sent it (this Qur’ân) down in the night of Al-Qadr (Decree).\[1\]
\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_
(V.97:1) "Therein (that night) is decreed every matter of ordainments." \[The Qur’ân, (Verse 44:4)\]\*\*
\*\* i.e., the matters of deaths, births, provisions, calamities for the whole (coming) year as decreed by Allâh.

### الآية 97:2

> وَمَا أَدْرَاكَ مَا لَيْلَةُ الْقَدْرِ [97:2]

2. And what will make you know what the night of Al-Qadr (Decree) is?

### الآية 97:3

> لَيْلَةُ الْقَدْرِ خَيْرٌ مِنْ أَلْفِ شَهْرٍ [97:3]

3. The night of Al-Qadr (Decree) is better than a thousand months (i.e. worshipping Allâh in that night is better than worshipping Him a thousand months, i.e. 83 years and 4 months).

### الآية 97:4

> تَنَزَّلُ الْمَلَائِكَةُ وَالرُّوحُ فِيهَا بِإِذْنِ رَبِّهِمْ مِنْ كُلِّ أَمْرٍ [97:4]

4. Therein descend the angels and the Rûh \[Jibrîl (Gabrîl)\] by Allâh’s Permission with all Decrees,

### الآية 97:5

> سَلَامٌ هِيَ حَتَّىٰ مَطْلَعِ الْفَجْرِ [97:5]

5. (All that night), there is Peace (and Goodness from Allâh to His believing slaves) until the appearance of dawn.\[2\]

(V.97:5) Narrated ‘Âishah رضي الله عنها: Allâh’s Messenger صلى الله عليه وسلم said, "Search for the Night of Qadr in the odd nights of the last ten nights of Ramadan." (Sahih Al-Bukhari, Vol. 3, Hadith No.234).
