(21) Or have We given them a book before it [i.e., the Qur’ān] to which they are adhering?— الترجمة الإنجليزية - صحيح انترناشونال
21. Or have We given them any Book before this (the Qur’ân) to which they are holding fast?— الترجمة الإنجليزية
— Dr. Ghali - English translationأَمۡ ءَاتَيۡنَٰهُمۡ كِتَٰبٗا مِّن قَبۡلِهِۦ فَهُم بِهِۦ مُسۡتَمۡسِكُونَOr even have We brought them a Book even before it, (The Qur'an) so that they are upholding it fast.?
— Muhsin Khan - English translationأَمۡ ءَاتَيۡنَٰهُمۡ كِتَٰبٗا مِّن قَبۡلِهِۦ فَهُم بِهِۦ مُسۡتَمۡسِكُونَOr have We given them any Book before this (the Quran), to which they are holding fast?
— Pickthall - English translationأَمۡ ءَاتَيۡنَٰهُمۡ كِتَٰبٗا مِّن قَبۡلِهِۦ فَهُم بِهِۦ مُسۡتَمۡسِكُونَOr have We given them any scripture before (this Qur'an) so that they are holding fast thereto?
— Yusuf Ali - English translationأَمۡ ءَاتَيۡنَٰهُمۡ كِتَٰبٗا مِّن قَبۡلِهِۦ فَهُم بِهِۦ مُسۡتَمۡسِكُونَWhat! have We given them a Book before this, to which they are holding fast?
— Sahih International - English translationأَمۡ ءَاتَيۡنَٰهُمۡ كِتَٰبٗا مِّن قَبۡلِهِۦ فَهُم بِهِۦ مُسۡتَمۡسِكُونَOr have We given them a book before the Qur'an to which they are adhering?
— Abul Ala Maududi(With tafsir) - English translationأَمۡ ءَاتَيۡنَٰهُمۡ كِتَٰبٗا مِّن قَبۡلِهِۦ فَهُم بِهِۦ مُسۡتَمۡسِكُونَ(43:21) Or did We bestow upon them a Book before on whose authority they
are holding on (to angel-worship)?1
— Abdul Haleem - English translationأَمۡ ءَاتَيۡنَٰهُمۡ كِتَٰبٗا مِّن قَبۡلِهِۦ فَهُم بِهِۦ مُسۡتَمۡسِكُونَor have We perhaps given them a book before this one, to which they hold fast?
— Mufti Taqi Usmani - English translationأَمۡ ءَاتَيۡنَٰهُمۡ كِتَٰبٗا مِّن قَبۡلِهِۦ فَهُم بِهِۦ مُسۡتَمۡسِكُونَOr have We given to them a book before this, and they are adhering to it?
