وَتَرَكۡنَا عَلَيۡهِمَا فِي ٱلۡأٓخِرِينَ
And We have left for them both among the later (generations),
سَلَٰمٌ عَلَىٰ مُوسَىٰ وَهَٰرُونَ
"Peace be upon Musa and Harun."
إِنَّا كَذَٰلِكَ نَجۡزِي ٱلۡمُحۡسِنِينَ
Surely thus We recompense the fair-doers.
إِنَّهُمَا مِنۡ عِبَادِنَا ٱلۡمُؤۡمِنِينَ
Surely they are both of Our believing bondmen.
وَإِنَّ إِلۡيَاسَ لَمِنَ ٱلۡمُرۡسَلِينَ
And surely Ilyas (Alias=Elijah) is indeed one of the Emissaries;
إِذۡ قَالَ لِقَوۡمِهِۦٓ أَلَا تَتَّقُونَ
As he said to his people, "Will you not be pious (towards Allah)?
أَتَدۡعُونَ بَعۡلٗا وَتَذَرُونَ أَحۡسَنَ ٱلۡخَٰلِقِينَ
Do you invoke Bacl, and leave out The Fairest of creators,
ٱللَّهَ رَبَّكُمۡ وَرَبَّ ءَابَآئِكُمُ ٱلۡأَوَّلِينَ
Allah, your Lord, and The Lord of your earliest fathers?"
فَكَذَّبُوهُ فَإِنَّهُمۡ لَمُحۡضَرُونَ
Yet they cried him lies; then surely they will indeed be presented forward?"
