 52. Then after that We forgave you so that you might be grateful.

ثُمَّ عَفَوۡنَا عَنكُم مِّنۢ بَعۡدِ ذَٰلِكَ لَعَلَّكُمۡ تَشۡكُرُونَ

Thereafter We were clement towards you even after that, that possibly you would thank (Us).
