(43) Have you seen the one who takes as his god his own desire? Then would you be responsible for him?— الترجمة الإنجليزية - صحيح انترناشونال
43. Have you (O Muhammad صلى الله عليه وسلم) seen him who has taken as his ilâh (god) his own vain desire? Would you then be a Wakîl (a disposer of his affairs or a watcher) over him?— الترجمة الإنجليزية
— Dr. Ghali - English translationأَرَءَيۡتَ مَنِ ٱتَّخَذَ إِلَٰهَهُۥ هَوَىٰهُ أَفَأَنتَ تَكُونُ عَلَيۡهِ وَكِيلًاHave you seen him who has taken to himself his prejudice to be his god? Will you then be a constant trustee over him?
— Muhsin Khan - English translationأَرَءَيۡتَ مَنِ ٱتَّخَذَ إِلَٰهَهُۥ هَوَىٰهُ أَفَأَنتَ تَكُونُ عَلَيۡهِ وَكِيلًاHave you (O Muhammad SAW) seen him who has taken as his ilah (god) his own desire? Would you then be a Wakil (a disposer of his affairs or a watcher) over him?
— Pickthall - English translationأَرَءَيۡتَ مَنِ ٱتَّخَذَ إِلَٰهَهُۥ هَوَىٰهُ أَفَأَنتَ تَكُونُ عَلَيۡهِ وَكِيلًاHast thou seen him who chooseth for his god his own lust? Wouldst thou then be guardian over him?
— Yusuf Ali - English translationأَرَءَيۡتَ مَنِ ٱتَّخَذَ إِلَٰهَهُۥ هَوَىٰهُ أَفَأَنتَ تَكُونُ عَلَيۡهِ وَكِيلًاSeest thou such a one as taketh for his god his own passion (or impulse)? Couldst thou be a disposer of affairs for him?
— Sahih International - English translationأَرَءَيۡتَ مَنِ ٱتَّخَذَ إِلَٰهَهُۥ هَوَىٰهُ أَفَأَنتَ تَكُونُ عَلَيۡهِ وَكِيلًاHave you seen the one who takes as his god his own desire? Then would you be responsible for him?
— Abul Ala Maududi(With tafsir) - English translationأَرَءَيۡتَ مَنِ ٱتَّخَذَ إِلَٰهَهُۥ هَوَىٰهُ أَفَأَنتَ تَكُونُ عَلَيۡهِ وَكِيلًا(25:43) Have you ever considered the case of him who has taken his carnal
desire for his god?6 Can you take responsibility for guiding him
to the Right Way?
— Abdul Haleem - English translationأَرَءَيۡتَ مَنِ ٱتَّخَذَ إِلَٰهَهُۥ هَوَىٰهُ أَفَأَنتَ تَكُونُ عَلَيۡهِ وَكِيلًاThink [Prophet] of the man who has taken his own passion as a god: are you to be his guardian?
— Mufti Taqi Usmani - English translationأَرَءَيۡتَ مَنِ ٱتَّخَذَ إِلَٰهَهُۥ هَوَىٰهُ أَفَأَنتَ تَكُونُ عَلَيۡهِ وَكِيلًاTell me about the one who has taken his desire as his god, would you then, become a guardian for him?
— Dr. Mustafa Khattab, The Clear Quran - English translationأَرَءَيۡتَ مَنِ ٱتَّخَذَ إِلَٰهَهُۥ هَوَىٰهُ أَفَأَنتَ تَكُونُ عَلَيۡهِ وَكِيلًاHave you seen ˹O Prophet˺ the one who has taken their own desires as their god? Will you then be a keeper over them?
— Dr. Mustafa Khattab - English translationأَرَءَيۡتَ مَنِ ٱتَّخَذَ إِلَٰهَهُۥ هَوَىٰهُ أَفَأَنتَ تَكُونُ عَلَيۡهِ وَكِيلًاHave you seen ˹O Prophet˺ the one who has taken their own desires as their god? Will you then be a keeper over them?
