[1040]- i.e., faith and worship. An alternative meaning is "What would my Lord do with you..."
[1041]- It will remain with them, causing punishment to be required and imperative upon them.
77. Say (O Muhammad صلى الله عليه وسلم to the disbelievers): "My Lord pays attention to you only because of your invocation to Him. But now you have indeed denied (Him). So the torment will be yours for ever (inseparable, permanent punishment)."— الترجمة الإنجليزية

77. Say - O Messenger, to the disbelievers who persist in their disbelief: My Lord will never care about you because of some benefit that He gets from your obedience. If it were not because He calls you for your benefit He would not have cared about you.
