(14) They [i.e., the hypocrites] will call to them [i.e., the believers], "Were we not with you?" They will say, "Yes, but you afflicted yourselves[1631] and awaited [misfortune for us] and doubted, and wishful thinking deluded you until there came the command of Allāh. 14. (The hypocrites) will call the believers: "Were we not with you?" The believers will reply: "Yes! But you led yourselves into temptations, you looked forward for our destruction; you doubted (in Faith) and you were deceived by false desires, till the Command of Allâh came to pass. And the chief deceiver (Satan) deceived you in respect of Allâh."— الترجمة الإنجليزية

remained in doubt3 and false expectations deluded you until Allah's
command came to pass,4 and the Deluder5 deluded you
concerning Allah.

14. The hypocrites will call out to the believers, saying: “Were we not with you upon Islam and obedience?” The Muslims will reply: “No, you were with us, but you deceived your souls with hypocrisy and doomed them, and you anticipated that the believers are defeated so you can then announce your disbelief. You also doubted in the help of Allah coming for the believers and in the resurrection after death.
