[947]- Female slaves or captives under their ownership.
6. Except from their wives or (the slaves) that their right hands possess, - for then, they are free from blame;— الترجمة الإنجليزية
— Dr. Ghali - English translationإِلَّا عَلَىٰٓ أَزۡوَٰجِهِمۡ أَوۡ مَا مَلَكَتۡ أَيۡمَٰنُهُمۡ فَإِنَّهُمۡ غَيۡرُ مَلُومِينَExcept from their spouses and what their right hands possess, then surely they are not blameworthy. (literally: other than being blameworthy)
— Muhsin Khan - English translationإِلَّا عَلَىٰٓ أَزۡوَٰجِهِمۡ أَوۡ مَا مَلَكَتۡ أَيۡمَٰنُهُمۡ فَإِنَّهُمۡ غَيۡرُ مَلُومِينَExcept from their wives or (the captives and slaves) that their right hands possess, for then, they are free from blame;
— Pickthall - English translationإِلَّا عَلَىٰٓ أَزۡوَٰجِهِمۡ أَوۡ مَا مَلَكَتۡ أَيۡمَٰنُهُمۡ فَإِنَّهُمۡ غَيۡرُ مَلُومِينَSave from their wives or the (slaves) that their right hands possess, for then they are not blameworthy,
— Yusuf Ali - English translationإِلَّا عَلَىٰٓ أَزۡوَٰجِهِمۡ أَوۡ مَا مَلَكَتۡ أَيۡمَٰنُهُمۡ فَإِنَّهُمۡ غَيۡرُ مَلُومِينَExcept with those joined to them in the marriage bond, or (the captives) whom their right hands possess,- for (in their case) they are free from blame,
— Sahih International - English translationإِلَّا عَلَىٰٓ أَزۡوَٰجِهِمۡ أَوۡ مَا مَلَكَتۡ أَيۡمَٰنُهُمۡ فَإِنَّهُمۡ غَيۡرُ مَلُومِينَExcept from their wives or those their right hands possess, for indeed, they will not be blamed -
— Abul Ala Maududi(With tafsir) - English translationإِلَّا عَلَىٰٓ أَزۡوَٰجِهِمۡ أَوۡ مَا مَلَكَتۡ أَيۡمَٰنُهُمۡ فَإِنَّهُمۡ غَيۡرُ مَلُومِينَ(23:6) save from their wives, or those whom their right hands possess; for
with regard to them they are free from blame "
