[1615]- At what had happened or remain in a state of shock. Another meaning is "in regret".
65. Were it Our Will, We could crumble it to dry pieces, and you would be regretful (or left in wonderment) [Tafsir Ibn Kathîr].— الترجمة الإنجليزية
— Dr. Ghali - English translationلَوۡ نَشَآءُ لَجَعَلۡنَٰهُ حُطَٰمٗا فَظَلۡتُمۡ تَفَكَّهُونَIf We had (so) decided We would indeed have made it crushed to pieces; then you would linger on (bitterly) exclaiming,
— Muhsin Khan - English translationلَوۡ نَشَآءُ لَجَعَلۡنَٰهُ حُطَٰمٗا فَظَلۡتُمۡ تَفَكَّهُونَWere it Our Will, We could crumble it to dry pieces, and you would be regretful (or left in wonderment).
— Pickthall - English translationلَوۡ نَشَآءُ لَجَعَلۡنَٰهُ حُطَٰمٗا فَظَلۡتُمۡ تَفَكَّهُونَIf We willed, We verily could make it chaff, then would ye cease not to exclaim:
— Yusuf Ali - English translationلَوۡ نَشَآءُ لَجَعَلۡنَٰهُ حُطَٰمٗا فَظَلۡتُمۡ تَفَكَّهُونَWere it Our Will, We could crumble it to dry powder, and ye would be left in wonderment,

— Abul Ala Maududi(With tafsir) - English translationلَوۡ نَشَآءُ لَجَعَلۡنَٰهُ حُطَٰمٗا فَظَلۡتُمۡ تَفَكَّهُونَ(56:65) If We so wished, We could have reduced your harvest to rubble, and
you would have been left wonder-struck to exclaim:
