(52) Or am I [not] better than this one [i.e., Moses] who is insignificant and hardly makes himself clear?[1442]— الترجمة الإنجليزية - صحيح انترناشونال
[1442]- That was true previous to his appointment as a prophet, at which time Allāh corrected his speech impediment.
52. "Am I not better than this one [Mûsâ (Moses)] who is despicable and can scarcely express himself clearly?— الترجمة الإنجليزية
— Dr. Ghali - English translationأَمۡ أَنَا۠ خَيۡرٞ مِّنۡ هَٰذَا ٱلَّذِي هُوَ مَهِينٞ وَلَا يَكَادُ يُبِينُOr even am I (not) more charitable (i.e., better) than this (fellow), who is contemptile and almost cannot make (his meaning) evident?
— Muhsin Khan - English translationأَمۡ أَنَا۠ خَيۡرٞ مِّنۡ هَٰذَا ٱلَّذِي هُوَ مَهِينٞ وَلَا يَكَادُ يُبِينُ"Am I not better than this one [Musa (Moses)], who is Mahin [has no honour nor any respect, and is weak and despicable] and can scarcely express himself clearly?
— Pickthall - English translationأَمۡ أَنَا۠ خَيۡرٞ مِّنۡ هَٰذَا ٱلَّذِي هُوَ مَهِينٞ وَلَا يَكَادُ يُبِينُI am surely better than this fellow, who is despicable and can hardly make (his meaning) plain!
