(54) So he bluffed his people, and they obeyed him. Indeed, they were [themselves] a people defiantly disobedient [of Allāh].— الترجمة الإنجليزية - صحيح انترناشونال
54. Thus he [Fir‘aun (Pharaoh)] befooled (and misled) his people, and they obeyed him. Verily, they were ever a people who were Fâsiqûn (rebellious, disobedient to Allâh).— الترجمة الإنجليزية
— Dr. Ghali - English translationفَٱسۡتَخَفَّ قَوۡمَهُۥ فَأَطَاعُوهُۚ إِنَّهُمۡ كَانُواْ قَوۡمٗا فَٰسِقِينَThen he induced levity (i.e., missed his people) on his people, so they obeyed him; surely they were an immoral people.
