(77) Does man not consider that We created him from a [mere] sperm-drop - then at once[1283] he is a clear adversary?— الترجمة الإنجليزية - صحيح انترناشونال
[1283]- i.e., as soon as he becomes self-sufficient.
77. Does not man see that We have created him from Nutfah (mixed male and female sexual discharge - semen drops). Yet behold he (stands forth) as an open opponent.— الترجمة الإنجليزية
— Dr. Ghali - English translationأَوَلَمۡ يَرَ ٱلۡإِنسَٰنُ أَنَّا خَلَقۡنَٰهُ مِن نُّطۡفَةٖ فَإِذَا هُوَ خَصِيمٞ مُّبِينٞAnd has not man seen that We created him of a sperm-drop? Then, only then, is he evidently a constant adversary.

— Yusuf Ali - English translationأَوَلَمۡ يَرَ ٱلۡإِنسَٰنُ أَنَّا خَلَقۡنَٰهُ مِن نُّطۡفَةٖ فَإِذَا هُوَ خَصِيمٞ مُّبِينٞDoth not man see that it is We Who created him from sperm? yet behold! he (stands forth) as an open adversary!

— Abul Ala Maududi(With tafsir) - English translationأَوَلَمۡ يَرَ ٱلۡإِنسَٰنُ أَنَّا خَلَقۡنَٰهُ مِن نُّطۡفَةٖ فَإِذَا هُوَ خَصِيمٞ مُّبِينٞ(36:77) Does4 man not see that We created him of a sperm drop,
and lo! he is flagrantly contentious?5
— Abdul Haleem - English translationأَوَلَمۡ يَرَ ٱلۡإِنسَٰنُ أَنَّا خَلَقۡنَٰهُ مِن نُّطۡفَةٖ فَإِذَا هُوَ خَصِيمٞ مُّبِينٞCan man not see that We created him from a drop of fluid? Yet- lo and behold!- he disputes openly,

Does the human who rejects the resurrection after death not ponder that I created him from semen, then he went through different phases until he was born and developed, turning into an argumentative and quarrelling creation?
