197. Is it not a sign to them that the learned scholars (like ‘Abdullâh bin Salâm رضي الله عنه who embraced Islâm)[1] of the Children of Israel knew it (as true)?— الترجمة الإنجليزية

— Dr. Ghali - English translationأَوَلَمۡ يَكُن لَّهُمۡ ءَايَةً أَن يَعۡلَمَهُۥ عُلَمَـٰٓؤُاْ بَنِيٓ إِسۡرَـٰٓءِيلَAnd was it not a sign for them, that it is known to the men of knowledge of the Seeds (Or: sons) of ? Israel)
— Muhsin Khan - English translationأَوَلَمۡ يَكُن لَّهُمۡ ءَايَةً أَن يَعۡلَمَهُۥ عُلَمَـٰٓؤُاْ بَنِيٓ إِسۡرَـٰٓءِيلَIs it not a sign to them that the learned scholars (like 'Abdullah bin Salam who embraced Islam) of the Children of Israel knew it (as true)?

— Yusuf Ali - English translationأَوَلَمۡ يَكُن لَّهُمۡ ءَايَةً أَن يَعۡلَمَهُۥ عُلَمَـٰٓؤُاْ بَنِيٓ إِسۡرَـٰٓءِيلَIs it not a Sign to them that the Learned of the Children of Israel knew it (as true)?
— Sahih International - English translationأَوَلَمۡ يَكُن لَّهُمۡ ءَايَةً أَن يَعۡلَمَهُۥ عُلَمَـٰٓؤُاْ بَنِيٓ إِسۡرَـٰٓءِيلَAnd has it not been a sign to them that it is recognized by the scholars of the Children of Israel?
— Abul Ala Maududi(With tafsir) - English translationأَوَلَمۡ يَكُن لَّهُمۡ ءَايَةً أَن يَعۡلَمَهُۥ عُلَمَـٰٓؤُاْ بَنِيٓ إِسۡرَـٰٓءِيلَ(26:197) Is it not a Sign to them � (to wit, the Makkans) � that the learned
men of the Children of Israel know that?3
