(77) And they will call, "O Mālik,[1449] let your Lord put an end to us!" He will say, "Indeed, you will remain."— الترجمة الإنجليزية - صحيح انترناشونال
[1449]- Addressing the keeper of Hell.
77. And they will cry: "O Malik (Keeper of Hell)! Let your Lord make an end of us." He will say: "Verily, you shall abide forever."— الترجمة الإنجليزية
— Dr. Ghali - English translationوَنَادَوۡاْ يَٰمَٰلِكُ لِيَقۡضِ عَلَيۡنَا رَبُّكَۖ قَالَ إِنَّكُم مَّـٰكِثُونَAnd they will call out, "O Malik, (keeper of Hell) let your Lord decree upon us!" He will say, "Surely you are staying."
— Muhsin Khan - English translationوَنَادَوۡاْ يَٰمَٰلِكُ لِيَقۡضِ عَلَيۡنَا رَبُّكَۖ قَالَ إِنَّكُم مَّـٰكِثُونَAnd they will cry: "O Malik (Keeper of Hell)! Let your Lord make an end of us." He will say: "Verily you shall abide forever."
— Pickthall - English translationوَنَادَوۡاْ يَٰمَٰلِكُ لِيَقۡضِ عَلَيۡنَا رَبُّكَۖ قَالَ إِنَّكُم مَّـٰكِثُونَAnd they cry: O master! Let thy Lord make an end of us. He saith: Lo! here ye must remain.
— Yusuf Ali - English translationوَنَادَوۡاْ يَٰمَٰلِكُ لِيَقۡضِ عَلَيۡنَا رَبُّكَۖ قَالَ إِنَّكُم مَّـٰكِثُونَThey will cry: "O Malik! would that thy Lord put an end to us!" He will say, "Nay, but ye shall abide!"
— Sahih International - English translationوَنَادَوۡاْ يَٰمَٰلِكُ لِيَقۡضِ عَلَيۡنَا رَبُّكَۖ قَالَ إِنَّكُم مَّـٰكِثُونَAnd they will call, "O Malik, let your Lord put an end to us!" He will say, "Indeed, you will remain."
— Abul Ala Maududi(With tafsir) - English translationوَنَادَوۡاْ يَٰمَٰلِكُ لِيَقۡضِ عَلَيۡنَا رَبُّكَۖ قَالَ إِنَّكُم مَّـٰكِثُونَ(43:77) They shall call out: “O Malik,1 let your Lord put an
end to us.” He will reply: “You must stay on in it.
— Abdul Haleem - English translationوَنَادَوۡاْ يَٰمَٰلِكُ لِيَقۡضِ عَلَيۡنَا رَبُّكَۖ قَالَ إِنَّكُم مَّـٰكِثُونَThey will cry, ‘Malik, if only your Lord would finish us off,’ but he will answer, ‘No! You are here to stay.’
— Mufti Taqi Usmani - English translationوَنَادَوۡاْ يَٰمَٰلِكُ لِيَقۡضِ عَلَيۡنَا رَبُّكَۖ قَالَ إِنَّكُم مَّـٰكِثُونَAnd they will call (Mālik, the keeper of the Hell,) “O Mālik, let your Lord do away with us.” He will say, “You have to stay on.”
— Dr. Mustafa Khattab, The Clear Quran - English translationوَنَادَوۡاْ يَٰمَٰلِكُ لِيَقۡضِ عَلَيۡنَا رَبُّكَۖ قَالَ إِنَّكُم مَّـٰكِثُونَThey will cry, “O Mâlik! Let your Lord finish us off.” He will answer, “You are definitely here to stay.”
— Dr. Mustafa Khattab - English translationوَنَادَوۡاْ يَٰمَٰلِكُ لِيَقۡضِ عَلَيۡنَا رَبُّكَۖ قَالَ إِنَّكُم مَّـٰكِثُونَThey will cry, “O Mâlik!1 Let your Lord finish us off.” He will answer, “You are definitely here to stay.”

77. They will call out to Mālik, the gatekeeper of the hellfire, saying: “O Mālik! Our Lord should make us die so that we are relieved of this punishment!” Mālik will answer them saying, “You are to remain forever in the punishment.
