(89) So turn aside from them and say, "Peace."[1456] But they are going to know.
[1456]- Meaning safety or security, i.e., "I will not harm you." This was before permission was granted for armed struggle.

 89. So turn away from them (O Muhammad صلى الله عليه و سلم), and say: Salâm (peace)! But they will come to know.[3]
(V.43:89) The provision of this Verse was abrogated by the revelation of the Verse of fighting them (V.9.5).
