(24) But he[812] called her from below her, "Do not grieve; your Lord has provided beneath you a stream.
[812]- There is a difference of opinion among scholars as to whether "he" refers to the baby or to the angel.

 24. Then [the babe ‘Îsâ (Jesus) or Jibrîl (Gabriel)] cried unto her from below her, saying: "Grieve not: your Lord has provided a water stream under you.

But (a voice) cried to her from beneath the (palm-tree): "Grieve not! for thy Lord hath provided a rivulet beneath thee;
