(4) And they wonder that there has come to them a warner [i.e., Prophet Muḥammad (ﷺ)] from among themselves. And the disbelievers say, "This is a magician and a liar.

 4. And they (Arab pagans) wonder that a warner (Prophet Muhammad صلى الله عليه وسلم) has come to them from among themselves. And the disbelievers say: "This (Prophet Muhammad صلى الله عليه وسلم) is a sorcerer, a liar.

And they marvel that a warner from among themselves hath come unto them, and the disbelievers say: This is a wizard, a charlatan.

So they wonder that a Warner has come to them from among themselves! and the Unbelievers say, "This is a sorcerer telling lies!

4. And they expressed surprise when a messenger came to them from themselves to warn them of Allah’s punishment if they remain in their disbelief. And the disbelievers said when they saw the proof for the truthfulness of what Muhammad (peace be upon him) brought: “This is a magician who performs magic on people, and a liar in claiming that he is a messenger from Allah who receives revelation.
