(1) O you who have believed, do not put [yourselves] before Allāh and His Messenger[1520] but fear Allāh. Indeed, Allāh is Hearing and Knowing.

1. O you who believe! Make not (a decision) in advance[1] before Allâh and His Messenger (صلى الله عليه وسلم), and fear Allâh. Verily! Allâh is All-Hearing, All-Knowing.

يَـٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُواْ لَا تُقَدِّمُواْ بَيۡنَ يَدَيِ ٱللَّهِ وَرَسُولِهِۦۖ وَٱتَّقُواْ ٱللَّهَۚ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ سَمِيعٌ عَلِيمٞ
O you who have believed, be not forward before (Literally: between the Two Hands of) Allah and His Me- ssenger, (i.e., do not ant) and be pious to Allah; surely Allah is Ever-Hearing, Ever-Knowing.
