Is it true that one can put the pages of surah saffat in every corner of every room in ones home to ward off Shaytan
AsSalaamu Alaikum. I often hear people during Salah, and also during Taraweeh prayers, they utter certain words after certain verses. For example, after the last verse of Surat Teen (Alay Sallahu Bi Ahkamil Haakeemeen). And also Surat Rahmaan (Fabi Aala is Rabikuma Tukadhdhibaan). I would like to know if replying to such verses is allowed in Shariah (both in or outside the prayers). If yes, then can you also provide the list of these special verses and the reply that we should be giving for...
As-Salamu 'Alaykum wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakatuh: The term reasonable is used in many ayat of Qur'an, such as, Al-Baqara, Chapter #2, Verse #180) Mohsin Khan interpretation, but is the term Reasonable actually defined in Shari'ah? We are told to act according to what is reasonable, but has the concept of reasonability been defined? Was-Salamu 'Alaykum wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakatuh.

Salaam a'laikum, I would like to know if one is required to return the greeting to another Muslim if he is reading Qu'ran. Also, I am reluctant to greet Muslims in the Masjid when they are reading Qu'ran for fear that I may distract them. What is the ruling on this matter? Jazakallah kayarun
Can you please clarify this verse. Does this mean that the woman cannot pack up and leave while her husband is away, then file for divorce through the court system? This Q refers to question ID 1293 titled "Quran reader". When verses like Ayatul Kursi (or last verses of Al-Baqara) is read 3 times, is it optional to say "Auzubilla.." everytime when the verse is read? Similarly if someone reads , say Sura Ikh-las 3 times, can he/she say "Basmala" everytime?
1) While reciting Ayatul Kursi (2:255), is it optional to read verses 256 and 257 (whether a person is reciting in general, or reciting in a special Salaah)? Or does it depend on the Hadith and situation? Do scholars differ in their opinion? 2) Similarly, when books say to read the last Ayaats of Sura Baqarah, is it 2 Ayahs? Or is it 3 Ayaahs?
Salam Alaykom, Im 15 years old, living in the US. I go to an Arabic/Islamic school, Im in the tenth grade and can barely read Arabic. Alhamdulillah, I try. I try to read the Quran in Arabic, but Im very slow. Can I just read it in English, or do I have to read it in Arabic? I've asked many of my teachers during Ramadan because I wanted to read it then, and they told me that I couldnt. Is that true?
Is it unanimously agreed upon by all madhhabs that It is waajib on all Qur'an teachers to systematically and comprehensively teach the 'amal of Qur'an like the Prophet did (10 ayats with all 'ilm+'amal); and If so then isn't it at the same time as the 'ilm training (not in pieces according to the teacher's favorite ayats or after 'ilm training is totally finished). Jazakumullahul khair.
Assalamu Alaikum What is the scholarly opinion about the Qur'anic reference to the Samaritan (e.g. Ta Ha 20: 95) which non-Muslims consider an 'error' in the Qur'an as Samaria did not exist at the time of Moses, pbuh, who lived at about 1200 B.C. In Wikepedia: "Ethnically, the Samaritans are the inhabitants of Samaria after the beginning of the Assyrian Exile of the Israelites (722BC) JAK
Would you please explain ayah 92 of surah an-Nisa'? Allah said, interpretation of meaning: It is not for a believer to kill a believer except by mistake. If he kills a believer by mistake, a believing salve must be freed, and blood money must be paid to the victim's family unless they remit it. If the victim belonged to your enemy and he was a believer, a believing slave must be freed. If the victim belonged to people, with whom you have a treaty, blood money must be paid to his family...
