Surah سورة النبأ

Verse 1

ﭑﭒ ﭓ

An-Naba'

What are they asking one another about?

Verse 2

ﭔﭕﭖ ﭗ

About the momentous news,

Verse 3

ﭘﭙﭚﭛ ﭜ

over which they disagree.¹

Verse 4

ﭝﭞ ﭟ

But no! They will come to know.

Verse 5

ﭠﭡﭢ ﭣ

Again, no! They will come to know.

Verse 6

ﭤﭥﭦﭧ ﭨ

Have We not smoothed out the earth ˹like a bed˺,

Verse 7

ﭩﭪ ﭫ

and ˹made˺ the mountains as ˹its˺ pegs,¹

Verse 8

ﭬﭭ ﭮ

and created you in pairs,

Verse 9

ﭯﭰﭱ ﭲ

and made your sleep for rest,

Verse 10

ﭳﭴﭵ ﭶ

and made the night as a cover,

Verse 11

ﭷﭸﭹ ﭺ

and made the day for livelihood,

Verse 12

ﭻﭼﭽﭾ ﭿ

and built above you seven mighty ˹heavens˺,

Verse 13

ﮀﮁﮂ ﮃ

and placed ˹in them˺ a shining lamp,

Verse 14

ﮄﮅﮆﮇﮈ ﮉ

and sent down from rainclouds pouring water,

Verse 15

ﮊﮋﮌﮍ ﮎ

producing by it grain and ˹various˺ plants,

Verse 16

ﮏﮐ ﮑ

and dense orchards?

Verse 17

ﮒﮓﮔﮕﮖ ﮗ

Indeed, the Day of ˹Final˺ Decision is an appointed time—

Verse 18

ﮘﮙﮚﮛﮜﮝ ﮞ

˹it is˺ the Day the Trumpet will be blown, and you will ˹all˺ come forth in crowds.

Verse 19

ﮟﮠﮡﮢ ﮣ

The sky will be ˹split˺ open, becoming ˹many˺ gates,

Verse 20

ﮤﮥﮦﮧ ﮨ

and the mountains will be blown away, becoming ˹like˺ a mirage.

Verse 21

ﮩﮪﮫﮬ ﮭ

Indeed, Hell is lying in ambush

Verse 22

ﮮﮯ ﮰ

as a home for the transgressors,

Verse 23

ﮱﯓﯔ ﯕ

where they will remain for ˹endless˺ ages.

Verse 24

ﯖﯗﯘﯙﯚﯛ ﯜ

There they will not taste any coolness or drink,

Verse 25

ﯝﯞﯟ ﯠ

except boiling water and ˹oozing˺ pus—

Verse 26

ﯡﯢ ﯣ

a fitting reward.

Verse 27

ﯤﯥﯦﯧﯨ ﯩ

For they never expected any reckoning,

Verse 28

ﯪﯫﯬ ﯭ

and totally rejected Our signs.

Verse 29

ﯮﯯﯰﯱ ﯲ

And We have everything recorded precisely.

Verse 30

ﯳﯴﯵﯶﯷ ﯸ

˹So the deniers will be told,˺ “Taste ˹the punishment˺, for all you will get from Us is more torment.”

Verse 31

ﭑﭒﭓ ﭔ

Indeed, the righteous will have salvation—

Verse 32

ﭕﭖ ﭗ

Gardens, vineyards,

Verse 33

ﭘﭙ ﭚ

and full-bosomed maidens of equal age,

Verse 34

ﭛﭜ ﭝ

and full cups ˹of pure wine˺,

Verse 35

ﭞﭟﭠﭡﭢﭣ ﭤ

never to hear any idle talk or lying therein—

Verse 36

ﭥﭦﭧﭨﭩ ﭪ

a ˹fitting˺ reward as a generous gift from your Lord,

Verse 37

ﭫﭬﭭﭮﭯﭰﭱﭲﭳﭴﭵ ﭶ

the Lord of the heavens and the earth and everything in between, the Most Compassionate. No one will dare speak to Him

Verse 38

ﭷﭸﭹﭺﭻﭼﭽﭾﭿﮀﮁﮂﮃﮄﮅ ﮆ

on the Day the ˹holy˺ spirit¹ and the angels will stand in ranks. None will talk, except those granted permission by the Most Compassionate and whose words are true.

Verse 39

ﮇﮈﮉﮊﮋﮌﮍﮎﮏﮐ ﮑ

That Day is the ˹ultimate˺ truth. So let whoever wills take the path leading back to their Lord.

Verse 40

ﮒﮓﮔﮕﮖﮗﮘﮙﮚﮛﮜﮝﮞﮟﮠ ﮡ

Indeed, We have warned you of an imminent punishment—the Day every person will see ˹the consequences of˺ what their hands have done, and the disbelievers will cry, “I wish I were dust.”¹
