Verse 1
ﭣﭤﭥ
ﭦ
In the Name of God, the Lord of Grace, the Ever-Merciful. When the sky is rent asunder,
Verse 2
ﭧﭨﭩ
ﭪ
obeying her Lord in true submission;
Verse 3
ﭫﭬﭭ
ﭮ
When the earth is stretched out
Verse 4
ﭯﭰﭱﭲ
ﭳ
and casts forth all that is within her and becomes empty,
Verse 5
ﭴﭵﭶ
ﭷ
obeying her Lord in true submission !
Verse 6
O man! You have been toiling towards your Lord, and you shall meet Him.
Verse 7
ﮁﮂﮃﮄﮅ
ﮆ
He who is given his record in his right hand
Verse 8
ﮇﮈﮉﮊ
ﮋ
will in time have a lenient reckoning
Verse 9
ﮌﮍﮎﮏ
ﮐ
and return rejoicing to his people.
Verse 10
ﮑﮒﮓﮔﮕﮖ
ﮗ
But he who is given his record behind his back
Verse 11
ﮘﮙﮚ
ﮛ
will in time call down destruction upon himself
Verse 12
ﮜﮝ
ﮞ
and will enter the Fire of Hell.
Verse 13
ﮟﮠﮡﮢﮣ
ﮤ
He lived joyfully among his people.
Verse 14
ﮥﮦﮧﮨﮩ
ﮪ
He surely thought he would never return.
Verse 15
Yes, indeed; his Lord was watching over him.
Verse 16
ﯔﯕﯖ
ﯗ
I swear by the twilight,
Verse 17
ﯘﯙﯚ
ﯛ
and by the night and what it envelops,
Verse 18
ﯜﯝﯞ
ﯟ
and by the moon in her full perfection,
Verse 19
ﯠﯡﯢﯣ
ﯤ
that you shall certainly move onward, stage after stage.
Verse 20
ﯥﯦﯧﯨ
ﯩ
Why then do they not accept the faith?
Verse 21
Or, when the Qur'an is read to them, they do not fall down in prostration?
Verse 22
ﯲﯳﯴﯵ
ﯶ
But the unbelievers persist in rejecting [the truth],
Verse 23
ﯷﯸﯹﯺ
ﯻ
yet God knows very well what they are hiding.
Verse 24
ﯼﯽﯾ
ﯿ
So give them the tidings of a grievous suffering,
Verse 25
except for those who believe and do good deeds; for theirs is an unfailing reward.
