Verse 1
ﭑﭒ
ﭓ
'Abasa
He (the Prophet) frowned and turned his face,
Verse 2
ﭔﭕﭖ
ﭗ
because the blind man came to him!
Verse 3
ﭘﭙﭚﭛ
ﭜ
What could tell you (O prophet about the prospects of the blind man?) May be, (if you had attended him properly,) he would have attained purity,
Verse 4
ﭝﭞﭟﭠ
ﭡ
or have received the advice, and the advice would have benefited him.
Verse 5
ﭢﭣﭤ
ﭥ
As for the one who does not care (about faith),
Verse 6
ﭦﭧﭨ
ﭩ
you are anxious to pursue him,
Verse 7
ﭪﭫﭬﭭ
ﭮ
while there is no blame on you, if he does not attain purity.
Verse 8
ﭯﭰﭱﭲ
ﭳ
As regards the one who has come to you rushing eagerly,
Verse 9
ﭴﭵ
ﭶ
while he fears (Allah),
Verse 10
ﭷﭸﭹ
ﭺ
to him you pay no heed!
Verse 11
ﭻﭼﭽ
ﭾ
Never! (you should never act in this way,) Indeed this (Qur’ān) is an advice.
Verse 12
ﭿﮀﮁ
ﮂ
So, whoever so wills may pay heed to it.
Verse 13
ﮃﮄﮅ
ﮆ
It is (recorded) in those scripts (of the Preserved Tablet) that are honoured,
Verse 14
ﮇﮈ
ﮉ
exalted, purified,
Verse 15
ﮊﮋ
ﮌ
in the hands of those scribes
Verse 16
ﮍﮎ
ﮏ
who are honorable, righteous.
Verse 17
ﮐﮑﮒﮓ
ﮔ
Damned is the man! How ungrateful he is!
Verse 18
ﮕﮖﮗﮘ
ﮙ
From which stuff did He (Allah) create him?
Verse 19
ﮚﮛﮜﮝ
ﮞ
from a drop of semen! He created him, and designed him in due proportion,
Verse 20
ﮟﮠﮡ
ﮢ
then He made the way easy for him,
Verse 21
ﮣﮤﮥ
ﮦ
Later, he made him die, and put him into grave,
Verse 22
ﮧﮨﮩﮪ
ﮫ
Thereafter, when He will intend, He will raise him up.
Verse 23
ﮬﮭﮮﮯﮰ
ﮱ
No! He has not yet fulfilled what He (Allah) had commanded him.
Verse 24
ﯓﯔﯕﯖ
ﯗ
So, the man should consider his food,
Verse 25
ﯘﯙﯚﯛ
ﯜ
how well We poured water,
Verse 26
ﯝﯞﯟﯠ
ﯡ
then how nicely We split the earth,
Verse 27
ﯢﯣﯤ
ﯥ
then We grew in it grain,
Verse 28
ﯦﯧ
ﯨ
and grapes and greens,
Verse 29
ﯩﯪ
ﯫ
and olive and date-palms,
Verse 30
ﯬﯭ
ﯮ
and gardens, full of thick trees,
Verse 31
ﯯﯰ
ﯱ
and fruits and fodder,
Verse 32
ﯲﯳﯴ
ﯵ
as a benefit for you and your cattle.
Verse 33
ﯶﯷﯸ
ﯹ
So when the Deafening Noise will occur,
Verse 34
ﯺﯻﯼﯽﯾ
ﯿ
the Day when one will flee from his brother,
Verse 35
ﰀﰁ
ﰂ
and from his mother and father,
Verse 36
ﰃﰄ
ﰅ
and from his wife and sons,
Verse 37
ﰆﰇﰈﰉﰊﰋ
ﰌ
every one of them will be too engaged in his own affairs to care for others.
Verse 38
ﰍﰎﰏ
ﰐ
Many faces, on that day, will be bright,
Verse 39
ﰑﰒ
ﰓ
laughing, rejoicing,
Verse 40
ﰔﰕﰖﰗ
ﰘ
and many faces, on that day, will be stained with dust,
Verse 41
ﭑﭒ
ﭓ
covered by darkness.
Verse 42
ﭔﭕﭖﭗ
ﭘ
Those are the disbelievers, the nefarious.
