Verse 1
ﯖﯗ
ﯘ
Al-Mutaffifin
Woe to the curtailers
Verse 2
ﯙﯚﯛﯜﯝﯞ
ﯟ
who, when they measure something to receive from people, take it in full,
Verse 3
ﯠﯡﯢﯣﯤ
ﯥ
and when they measure or weigh something to give it to them, give less than due.
Verse 4
ﯦﯧﯨﯩﯪ
ﯫ
Do they not think that they have to be raised up
Verse 5
ﭑﭒ
ﭓ
on a Great Day,
Verse 6
ﭔﭕﭖﭗﭘ
ﭙ
the Day when all the people will stand before the Lord of the worlds?
Verse 7
ﭚﭛﭜﭝﭞﭟ
ﭠ
Never! (i.e. they should never act in such a way.) Indeed the record of deeds of the sinners is in Sijjīn.
Verse 8
ﭡﭢﭣﭤ
ﭥ
And what may let you know what Sijjīn is?
Verse 9
ﭦﭧ
ﭨ
A register, inscribed!
Verse 10
ﭩﭪﭫ
ﭬ
Woe that day to the deniers,
Verse 11
ﭭﭮﭯﭰ
ﭱ
who deny the Day of Requital!
Verse 12
And none denies it but every sinful transgressor.
Verse 13
When Our verses are recited to him, he says, “(These are) tales of the ancients.”
Verse 14
No! But that which they used to commit has covered their hearts with rust.
Verse 15
ﮍﮎﮏﮐﮑﮒ
ﮓ
No! Indeed they will be screened off from their Lord on that Day.
Verse 16
ﮔﮕﮖﮗ
ﮘ
Then they will have to enter the Hell.
Verse 17
Then it will be said, “This is what you used to deny.”
Verse 18
ﮡﮢﮣﮤﮥﮦ
ﮧ
No! The record of deeds of the righteous is in ‘Illiyyūn.
Verse 19
ﮨﮩﮪﮫ
ﮬ
And what may let you know what ‘Illiyyūn is ?
Verse 20
ﮭﮮ
ﮯ
A register inscribed,
Verse 21
ﮰﮱ
ﯓ
attended by those (angels) who are blessed with nearness to Allah!
Verse 22
ﯔﯕﯖﯗ
ﯘ
Indeed the righteous will be in absolute bliss.
Verse 23
ﯙﯚﯛ
ﯜ
While (sitting) on thrones they will be watching (the scenes of Paradise).
Verse 24
ﯝﯞﯟﯠﯡ
ﯢ
You will recognize the glamour of bliss on their faces.
Verse 25
ﯣﯤﯥﯦ
ﯧ
They will be served with a pure sealed wine to drink,
Verse 26
the seal of which will be of musk.-It is this (bliss) in aspiring for which the competitors should race each other.
Verse 27
ﯰﯱﯲ
ﯳ
-and it will be blended with (a drink from) Tasnīm ,
Verse 28
ﯴﯵﯶﯷ
ﯸ
a spring from which will drink those who are blessed with nearness.
Verse 29
Indeed those who were guilty used to laugh at those who believed,
Verse 30
ﰂﰃﰄﰅ
ﰆ
and when they passed by them, they used to wink at one another,
Verse 31
ﰇﰈﰉﰊﰋﰌ
ﰍ
and when they went back to their family, they went enjoying their mockery,
Verse 32
ﰎﰏﰐﰑﰒﰓ
ﰔ
and when they saw them, they said, “Surely these are the ones who have gone astray”
Verse 33
ﰕﰖﰗﰘ
ﰙ
while they were not sent as watchmen over them.
Verse 34
ﭑﭒﭓﭔﭕﭖ
ﭗ
So, today those who believed will laugh at the disbelievers.
Verse 35
ﭘﭙﭚ
ﭛ
While (sitting) on thrones, they will be seeing
Verse 36
ﭜﭝﭞﭟﭠﭡ
ﭢ
whether the disbelievers have been paid back for what they used to do.
