Verse 1
ﭤ
ﭥ
Al-Fajr
I swear by the dawn,
Verse 2
ﭦﭧ
ﭨ
and by Ten Nights,
Verse 3
ﭩﭪ
ﭫ
and by the even and the odd,
Verse 4
ﭬﭭﭮ
ﭯ
and by the night when it moves away,
Verse 5
ﭰﭱﭲﭳﭴﭵ
ﭶ
-Is there (not) in such an oath (enough assurance) for a man of sense?-
Verse 6
ﭷﭸﭹﭺﭻﭼ
ﭽ
Have you not seen how your Lord dealt with (the people) of ‘Ād
Verse 7
ﭾﭿﮀ
ﮁ
of Iram , the men of tall pillars,
Verse 8
ﮂﮃﮄﮅﮆﮇ
ﮈ
the like of whom were never created in the lands,
Verse 9
ﮉﮊﮋﮌﮍ
ﮎ
and (how He dealt) with (the people of) Thamūd who had carved out the rocks in the Valley (of Qurā),
Verse 10
ﮏﮐﮑ
ﮒ
and with Fir‘aun (Pharaoh), the man of the stakes,
Verse 11
ﮓﮔﮕﮖ
ﮗ
- those who had rebelled in the cities,
Verse 12
ﮘﮙﮚ
ﮛ
and spread a lot of mischief therein.
Verse 13
ﮜﮝﮞﮟﮠ
ﮡ
So, your Lord let loose on them the whip of torment.
Verse 14
ﮢﮣﮤ
ﮥ
Surely your Lord is ever on the watch.
Verse 15
As for man, when his Lord tests him, and thus gives him honour and bounties, he says, “My Lord has honoured me.”
Verse 16
But when he tests him, and thus straitens his provision for him, he says, “My Lord has disgraced me.”
Verse 17
ﯞﯟﯠﯡﯢﯣ
ﯤ
No! But you do not honour the orphan,
Verse 18
ﯥﯦﯧﯨﯩ
ﯪ
and do not encourage one another to feed the needy.
Verse 19
ﯫﯬﯭﯮ
ﯯ
And you devour the inheritance with a sweeping gulp,
Verse 20
ﯰﯱﯲﯳ
ﯴ
and love wealth, an excessive love.
Verse 21
No! When the earth will be crushed thoroughly to be turned into bits,
Verse 22
ﯽﯾﯿﰀﰁ
ﰂ
and your Lord will come, and the angels as well, lined up in rows,
Verse 23
and Jahannam (Hell), on that day, will be brought forward, it will be the day when man will realize the truth, but from where will he take advantage of such realization?
Verse 24
ﭜﭝﭞﭟ
ﭠ
He will say, “O Would that I had sent ahead (some good deeds) for (this) my life!”
Verse 25
ﭡﭢﭣﭤﭥ
ﭦ
So no one can punish like He will punish, that day,
Verse 26
ﭧﭨﭩﭪ
ﭫ
nor can anyone shackle like He will shackle.
Verse 27
ﭬﭭﭮ
ﭯ
(As for an obedient man, it will be said to him,) “O content soul,
Verse 28
ﭰﭱﭲﭳﭴ
ﭵ
come back to your Lord, well-pleased, well-pleasing.
Verse 29
ﭶﭷﭸ
ﭹ
So, enter among My (special) servants,
Verse 30
ﭺﭻ
ﭼ
and enter My Paradise.”
